Sorry to hear that blue have a lovely Christma .

I get woken up every morning absolutely ravenous! ! Even though I've eaten plenty the night before. It's that kind of hunger that's unbearable though

Bloods came back perfect. First one was 7900 and second was 18000 so had more than doubled. Fit in perfectly with the dates I think I am too so that's good.

frolic hope the vomiting settles down.

lam I'm so pleased scans are showing the baby still growing. It must be so worrying with the bleeding but u must be one of those ladies where everything is fine but u have bleeding.

blueberry the nausea sucks doesn't it! Sometimes I think I'd rather just vomit and get it over and done with rather than just feeling like I'm going to vomit.

A colleague of mine suffered with that hyperm..... (Can't spell it), sickness thing and was really bad. She knows I'm pregnant but has no sympathy because I only feel sick and I'm able to eat. It's like she's the only person to have been so ill so noone else is allowed to be.

Brummiegirl15 · 22/12/2014 10:13

Am so sorry to hear that Blue thinking of you

Lilydreams · 22/12/2014 11:46

Hello can I join?! I've been lurking for a while and don't think I've joined yet! Confused

7 weeks today I think date they've given me for now is august 10th. Haven't wanted to join till now as aside from sore boobs I didn't really have any symptoms and was scared of jinxing something! That all changed towards the end of last week and have pretty much felt sick 24/7 since then! Have had to run the loo a couple of times retching but haven't actually been sick yet- as someone else has said I think I would rather be as at least I'd get some relief for a bit!

Not told anyone yet except DH (obviously!) and have already had a normally boozy family Xmas outing that I think I just got away with not drinking by saying I was taking antibiotics for a water infection! Perfect excuse for not drinking all next week as I'm working nights- although dreading having to appear normal at work when feeling so green!

Good luck to all hope anyone feeling similar feels better soon and sending hugs to those who are having worrying times xx

clairexxx · 22/12/2014 12:08

Hi everyone, been super busy with the run up to Christmas but just wanted to say hi and see how you all are. I shall read back on the thread in a min.

Haven't really got much news. The spotting has stopped, all I fancy to eat/drink is apples, pineapple and fizzy water and I'm nauseous in the evenings. I'll be 7 weeks on Wednesday and have my follow up scan in just over a week!

Right, now to read all the posts!

Dozygirl · 22/12/2014 13:13

Hey lily welcome. I feel for u having to work nights though when feeling sick as they make u feel sick anyway. I work shifts too but I'm on days luckily. Sickness is gradually getting worse each day but I'd like it to stop! I've just bought some travel sickness bands from boots to see if they help. Eating defunited helps but I'm gonna get so fat haha.

Claire glad the spotting has stopped.

wavesandsmiles · 22/12/2014 13:16

Hi everyone. Blue I am so sorry to hear your news, I hope you enjoy Christmas with your family and mrsb I hope you get some more news soon.

I'm back to my GP this afternoon - in a pretty bad way with vomiting so I can't keep anything down and even if I have nothing I am retching and bringing up bile. Gross. Passed out a few times over the weekend so things aren't too great. Hoping I'll get to see the consultant who can prescribe me some medication that might actually work. I look like utter shit to be frank. Hopefully there will be some form of progress after that...

ruby242 · 22/12/2014 14:27

Hello all!
Welcome lily, sorry to hear your news blue and I hope you have success ttc again in the months to come.

Poor you waves, I hope you find some medication that works as sounds horrible-I should think of you ladies really suffering as I have been struggling to cope with my naeusa some days but at least I'm not vomiting. Felt good yesterday so gave me hope maybe it was subsiding but nope this morning back to barely being able to get up from bed!! Luckily mine does get better by the afternoons :)

ILoveYouBaby · 22/12/2014 14:48

That sounds awful waves, I hope you get some medicine that helps soon.

I started feeling sick today, and my stomach is so upset (it's been the same with my last pregnancies). At least it's still very mild and I've kept eating to keep it at bay.

daisysunshine2 · 22/12/2014 16:10

Hello all :)

So sorry blue sending you hugs Flowers
mrsb I hope you get positive news at your scan, got my fingers crossed

I had my scan this afternoon, saw baby measuring 7 weeks exactly and saw the heartbeat :) cried so so much! It really was the best Christmas present :)

D00dles · 22/12/2014 16:27

Hi can I join you? I've been lurking and on the pregnancy after miscarriage thread. I have one DD who's 4 in Jan and had a MC last Christmas. We had a year of enjoying time with our DD and started trying in Nov, BFP on the 1st Dec (much to the DH disappointment Grin) my symptoms are a lot stronger than when I had my MC. I can barely keep my eyes open and I wake up in the night feeling sick. Had some upset tummy pains today, which has made me anxious Sad I have a scan next week on 2nd when I'd be 8+6. I didn't want to cause myself extra worry as CBD test said I was 1-2weeks on the 1st dec, when it was 4weeks since my last period. Silly question but am I right in thinking they date the baby's growth from when they were actually conceived not the 1-2weeks when you weren't pregnant? Sorry all this anxiety is new to me as I was already 8weeks with DD before I realised!

Brummiegirl15 · 22/12/2014 16:32

Aaahhh Daisy I cried too Smile

That's wonderful news, I'm so pleased!!!!

rachywhite83 · 22/12/2014 16:36

Im having a bit of a rough time.

Dtd with DH ohavingday and afterwards had a little bit of bleeding. Had spotting throughout the weekend. Went to doctor this morning who sent me to the bleeding in early pregnancy unit. They scanned me and found a pregnancy sac and dated me at 6 week's ( my dates having been 8 weeks. ) They sent me for a blood test and I need to phone back in the morning for the reasults.

Feeling very uncertain about everything. Still having horrible heart burn and really sore boobs and constantly on the toilet but trying to keep an open mind x

Brummiegirl15 · 22/12/2014 19:17

Oh Rachy fingers crossed that everything is ok for you.

Have got my 12 week scan appointment and nuchal test letter through for 22nd Jan when I'll be 11+6

Guyropes · 22/12/2014 19:28

Hi everyone... Sorry to hear your news blue, and hope that mrs b getting some better news today.

Waves, sorry to hear you're so poorly.. Have you got some support? Hope so because it is wretched looking after dc when you are so unwell.

I have been feeling really rotten recently... Specially after about 5pm. I can't cope with cooking for the kids so just doing really easy stuff for them, and encouraging them to heat things up themselves etc.

Luckily my bf keeps arriving with easy food and the things I fancy (dreamed about eating asparagus last night!).

Hope things settle soon for you rachy... I'm sure it's nothing to do with dtd. Hope you get some answers soon.

And congrats newbies and those who had a successful scan!

Glad to hear you got your scan date Brummiegirl; it's nice and soon in the timeframe too. I'm waiting for mine now!

Emb540 · 22/12/2014 19:58

Hearing all your early scans makes me want one, 12 weeks seem so far. I'm not feeling as sick anymore phew! All my symptoms have seemed to vanished seem to have more energy now too, trying not To worry too much as I never had any symptoms with both DD. Had a few cheapie tests left so did one line car up straight away so that's a good sign lol

Today I was craving a fry up for
Tea... And omg was the best thing I have eaten for days! Didn't want it to end haha

Waves sorry to hear your struggling :0( hopefully your getting it now and will be done with sickness soon.

Frolicacid · 22/12/2014 20:43

Good evening!

I'm sorry to read so many of us are struggling with feeling unwell. And big hugs to those waiting on follow up scans. I hope the time passes quickly and the news is positive.

I called the midwives team today as in my area you self-refer. They said not to expect to hear anything for a few weeks as they are very busy. Apparently everyone is getting pregnant round here at the moment. I occasionally work at our local child health centre and am friendly with the girl who processes new referrals. It will be funny to see if she looks at me differently in January.

Can I ask a question about boobs? Mine are HUGE! I'm usually a 32f, but my bra's are so tight and uncomfortable already. I don't really want to buy anything yet, but fear I may have to get some new scaffolding soon. Is anyone else having similar issues? And how are you managing?

toothachereturns · 22/12/2014 20:45

Because of you lovely ladies I've just booked an early private scan for 13th Jan! Smile

All being well I will be 8+2 by then.
Sorry for those with not so great results from the early scan. Sad Sad Sad
Any news from Mrsb?

mrsb0710 · 22/12/2014 20:57

Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't updated, have just been so raw and emotional. They refused to do any bloods and were quite blunt about the whole thing. I have to go back Wednesday for a repeat scan and discuss options.

If it is worst case scenario I might gets GP referral to another hospital.
I dropped into work and my manager was a twat, so I'll look at getting signed off a bit longer,.just cant face it.

Still hoping for a more positive outcome, but also letting in sink in that it may just been an awful ending to 2014.

So.glad to hear positive reports on other scans, gives me hope that I can get through this.

Dozygirl · 22/12/2014 21:23

Mrsb I'm sorry you're having a rough time. I can't believe they wouldn't at least so bloods along with the scans to make sure everything pieces together. Makes no sense. Hope the scan on Wednesday gives u better news but definitely stay off work while this is happening.

frolic yes on the huge boobs front!! Mine are also 32f and I can tell they are escaping out of my bra already. I don't want to go any bigger haha. Also my nippers! !!! They are like rocks and seem to have grown too. Dp keeps mentioning it and laughing.

rachy try not to worry too much. Dtd can cause bleeding. Make sure u get repeat bloods done in 48-72 hours though because just the one on its own doesn't mean much. U need to see that the level is doubling every 2 days. Also the ranges for each week are so huge. I did actually google mine in the end and they seemed good. Hopefully all is good in there.

Sorry for those feeling really ill. I've got a stinking cold on top of the nausea on and off so feeling pretty sorry for myself. Tried to get annual leave for work tomorrow but wasn't allowed so I'll have to go in now :(

Frolicacid · 22/12/2014 21:32

mrsbFlowers

emb, I took a test tonight. I have been much less suck today, so stated to worry. Did an ic with an evening wee only about 45 mins after the one before. It came up strong and positive straight away. I'm assuming that's good.

Ha ha dozy! Can you even imagine what size we'll be by the end?! DH is facinated by mine - you think he'd be used to them after 13 years, but this recent growth spurt has awakens his inner teenager. I think i'm going to get some cheapie sa few sizes up tomorrow when I go past matalan.

birchwoods · 22/12/2014 22:23

Sorry they couldn't give you more answers mrsb. I hope the scan on Weds goes well. The waiting is the worst bit isn't it.

Frolic, yes to the massive boobs! I was a 32D but all my bras are now bursting at the seams! Also, when I dry myself after showering, if the towel so much as brushes against my nipple it absolutely kills! They are so painful. Hugging people is an issue at the moment!

Hope everyone is ok and those of you who are poorly feel better soon.

birchwoods · 22/12/2014 22:24

Exciting about your scan tooth!

I've had my 12 wk scan appt through, 27th Jan. I will be dot on 12 weeks if the dates given at my scan yesterday are correct. Still no midwife appt through yet though and they never answer the phone!

mzzzf · 23/12/2014 08:11

Hey ladies. Apologies for the radio silence, we've moved in and now manically preparing for Christmas!
Also I've finally got a GP appt today, which will ideally lead to a mw appt - I'm 8+2!!!
The extreme tiredness is still my biggest symptom, so annoying as I'm usually like a Duracell bunny, and I keep getting the occasional twangs of ouch from the bean when I move quickly/ bend down/ turn in a way it doesn't like, anybody else getting these?

wavesandsmiles · 23/12/2014 08:54

Hi everyone, I'm feeling brighter today after seeing GP yesterday. Despite the first one refusing to prescribe anything more than promethazine, she has sorted me with the super wonderful ondansetron in "melt on the tongue" form. I was actually able to sip some water last night and whilst eating still results in vom ville, I'm over the moon that I can hopefully keep the dehydration at bay. It's the drug I was on last time and then only the consultant would prescribe it so it's a huge result that my GP sorted it for me.

I also told my doula who supported me through my last pregnancy and birth and she was fantastic. Knowing she's going to be a support for me has eased the worry of being alone a lot too.

I'm looking forward to 2 weeks off from the end of today. And trying not to stress about all the Christmas stuff I haven't done yet...

ruby242 · 23/12/2014 09:14

I just got my 12 week scan appointment through too, 2nd feb :)

Had a group information evening with the midwives last night which was interesting as they really promoted home birth which I didn't expect. I live quite far from the hospital and asked aren't I too far away but she said definitely not. Something to consider for the future anyway!

That's interesting waves that you are having/have had a doula as I was thinking about possibly getting one too-just more to have a familiar face on the day as the midwife at the hospital will be unknown!
