toothachereturns I have asthma too I was left on my Seretide and Ventolin but taken off of Singulair (montelukast.)

My doctor said that Singulair can be taken in asthma if deemed necessary but in general, unless I desperately needed it, to come off of it.

I hope that helps a bit.

daisysunshine2 · 21/12/2014 11:00

tooth I asked my doctor about antihistamines because I get really bad eczema and sometimes take them if the itching gets too much! He said that loratadine was fine to take although I haven't yet taken any, just used creams and ice on the worst bits!

birch good luck with your scan, let us know how it goes!

I've got my scan tomorrow when I'll be 7+1.... Already worrying!

Got my fingers crossed for you too mrsb

I'm also still waiting to hear from the midwives, think if I haven't heard from them in a week I'll call them

Welcome to the newbies too :) lovely to see you here :)

birchwoods · 21/12/2014 11:38

Morning ladies!

Mrsb I hope you're ok. I remembered earlier that I had two positive OPKs about one or two wks before I did actually ovulate. I'm assuming my hormones were all over the place. In the end I scrapped the OPKs and went with tracking EWCM, which worked! So even though you had a positive OPK you may have ovulated much later. Don't lose hope.

I hope you don't think this insensitive but I just wanted to share with you all my scan this morning...we saw and even heard a little heartbeat! It was very emotional and I burst in to tears from the relief of knowing that I hadn't imagined the whole thing. The baby looked like a little blob with another blob next to it which is the yolk sac. It measured 7.7mm (tiny!!) which puts me at 6+5, rather than 6+6 so I wasn't far out! If anyone is deliberating over whether to have an early scan, go for it. It was money well spent and the lady explained everything, showed me my ovaries and even identified which one had produced the baby! She took so much time to show us everything and play the heartbeat, such a special moment. Feeling very emotional and bursting to tell my parents on Christmas Eve.

Mrsb I have everything crossed for you. xxxx

birchwoods · 21/12/2014 11:39

P.S. Welcome and congrats newbies!

rachywhite83 · 21/12/2014 13:18

Hey bunny. I have been having bad stretching pains to. This is my second (DS 19 months !) Im a bit ahead of you (8 weeks today) and it has stopped. There is light at the end of the tunnel !

dillydollydarling · 21/12/2014 14:18

Just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant today! Puts my due date at august 30th if everything goes well!

Apart from feeling really gassy the past few days, I've had no symptoms yet! Really worried that something will happen and I'll lose the baby :(

toothachereturns · 21/12/2014 14:50

Thanks for the advice ladies. I really can't do without my fluticasone as I have house dust mite allergies. Before I started fluticasone I was had to get nebulised a few times and put on the 8 tablets a day prednisone (sp? ) so really hope it's ok. Confused

Welcome to the newbies Smile

mrsb0710 · 21/12/2014 17:01

I am happy for you birch. With my measurements at 6.3, does that mean I'm around 5 weeks? They didn't even explain that. The more I think about, the more I do want to go.tomorrow for a second opinion and to get some more info either way.

DH has been fantastic, I've wanted for nothing and we had a day out to just relax. still very raw and emotional, but just want tomorrow to be here now and know more.

ILoveYouBaby · 21/12/2014 17:27

Hi all, can I join?

I got a bfp this morning :) we weren't going to start trying until after Xmas so it's a lovely surprise. I'm just coming to the end of my maternity leave with dd (10 months).

No idea of due date yet, maybe 28 August.

birchwoods · 21/12/2014 17:30

The lady said at this stage they grow 1mm per day. The first time she measured she got 6.6mm and said I was 6.4 but then measured again and got 7.7 and said 6+5. I don't know at which point it starts growing at a rate of 1mm per day though so maybe you are early 6wks? Definitely get a second opinion. Let us know what happens. xxx

Frolicacid · 21/12/2014 18:05

Hello everyone!

I'm in such a good mood! I have managed to eat food and keep it down today for the first time since last Friday! Wooohoo!! I feel so much better.
It seems that the magic cure to my sickness is lidl chocolate covered gingerbread - go out and fill your boots ladies Xmas Smile

birchwood, your scan sounds amazing. I Might have to look into what's available locally.

tooth. I have no idea about safe meds sorry, but wanted to offer my full sympathy. I suffer terrible hayfever and am already worried about how I'll manage in the summer. I hope you get to your gp ASAP.

LAM1 · 21/12/2014 18:07

Oh MrsB am thinking of you. A second opinion is a must for you. Good luck.

This measurement lark is confusing!! Have been silent for a couple of days as DH returned plus had some more bleeding, but its stopped this morning so fingers crossed it stays away. Had my scan today and all is well which is such a relief after the bleeding - she couldn't see where it has been coming from but baby is fine and she wasn't worried about the bleeding which has put my mind at rest.
Birchwoods I had a scan at 6+2 and the measurement was 3.9mm, today (8 weeks tomorrow) its measuring 14mm - so its been growing about 1mm a day.

Welcome to all the newbies!

ILoveYouBaby · 21/12/2014 18:18

LAM1 I had bleeding with my dd, but everything turned out ok :)

Melonhead11 · 21/12/2014 18:38

Hi :)
According to my dates we're due dc2 15th august. Dd who is now 3 was born completely blind so I'm feeling a mix of excitement/ fear. So happy to dd getting to be a sister though :) is everyone keeping well?? Going to be so hard hiding pregnancy from family at Christmas! X

ClumsyCrocheter · 21/12/2014 18:38

Mrsb I'm so sorry about what you're going through. Please keep us updated, we'll all be thinking of you and have everything crossed for you.

I'm another one not meaning to be insensitive, but I had to tell someone...we heard the heartbeat yesterday. I've been so sure I had a mmc, and I was crying going in, but it was good news. It was such a relief, and only cost us £40. Money well spent to us, and for anyone who is worried sick and 12 weeks seems like too long, I'd def recommend it.

mrsb0710 · 21/12/2014 18:45

Don't feel insensitive, I'm happy for those who are progressing normally.

Whatever happens, I'm prepared as I can be, I cant change things now, so all I can do is go along and see what they say.

Emb540 · 21/12/2014 21:04

Good luck for tomorrow girlies!! Fingers & toes crossed xxx

Worst thing ever!!! Found my love of cheese has come to a stop Confused makes me so sick & the thought!!! Noooo love cheese & crackers!!
Suddenly hit me today how am I going to hide me not drinking Boxing Day, spend the day at my mums, it's a non stop drinking session :0/ going to have to play the I feel unwell card...they'll know something's up I am sure.

But on a funny note read something made me smile, apparently There's a website that you can sell your positive pregnancy tests for £20-50 a go!! There's random people out there who will buy them! One way to make some money over Xmas heehee xxxx

Frolicacid · 21/12/2014 21:23

No way emb - I have about 15 from the past week! Maybe I could make a head start on maternity leave!!
I'm using the hangover excuse and it's going well so far. I'm well known for my raging hangovers, so no one is batting an eye lid. I'm not really seeing anyone two days in a row, so think I should get away with it. I am s bit worried about what to do when my parents come on christmas day - our house isn't very big and my vomitting is quite loud Xmas Blush

I am gutted about the cheese. But feeling so sick that I doubt it will be a problem! I thought I was doing well today, but just lost all of my dinner.

Gillian1980 · 21/12/2014 22:22

I had an early scan today and I found it quite a difficult experience.

By my reckoning I thought I was 7 weeks today so I thought we would see a fair bit and maybe even a heartbeat if we were lucky.

But the sonographer said it measured 5 weeks and there was nothing much to see.

I felt panicky that maybe the baby stopped growing? But maybe my dates were all wrong?

I'm seeing the midwife this week so will see what she says I guess. I still feel really nauseous and sore boobs etc.

I don't know what to think Confused

xBlueberry88x · 22/12/2014 02:21

Glad to see alot of scans are going well!

MrsB fingers crossed for today

Frolic glad you made it all the way to do dinner before throwing up!

Gillian there is always the chance you got your dates wrong, did they seem worried?

No throwing up for me yet but keep getting cramps and having to rush to the loo tmi I know! Keep getting nausea to and mega tired today. Not sure how long I can hide it from boss theres only the two of us in a small office!

bluewisteria · 22/12/2014 07:00

bluewisteria · 22/12/2014 07:32

Thanks birchwoods. It's ok, we have two beautiful bright daughters and it wasn't meant to be. I'll take some time, enjoy a fabulous Christmas, plus both their birthdays! I somehow think I'm only destined to have Christmas babies, my entire family are pretty much dec, jan or feb birthdays! Mad!
