Hey all, I'm still here. Have been feeling absolutely horrific for the past week, barely been able to function. I stopped taking vitamins 2 days ago, and have woken up today not feeling sick. So now I am petrified it's all gone wrong again. Someone talk sense into me please...

Isabeau1980 · 18/12/2014 10:50

Hi P0lly I'm due on the 4th with my first too. Smile

No scans yet for me. I got my appointment and I will be 12w3d when I have my appointment.

karatekimmi · 18/12/2014 13:30

I'm home with my poorly toddler - well my toddler has diarrhoea but it hasn't stopped him. I'm
Bering told to play with him, but everything I'm doing is wrong!!

How on earth will I cope with 2!! I have my midwife appointment today, but now mini kimmi is coming to!!

Welcome to all

mrsb0710 · 18/12/2014 14:08

Hi ladies how are we all?
So, I've been diagnosed with a 'mild' form of HG. Mild, as I can keep myself hydrated and that's about it. I constantly feel nauseous, am wretching all the time and just feel gross.
I feel bad when I complain about it, as I so desperately don't want it to overshadow the joy of being pregnant - but its hard. Luckily hubby I being fantastic, and i speak with my Mum in Australia nearly ever day.

Financially, I'm.not even thinking about work, I don't need that stress too.
Justt putting one foot in front of the other, and looking forward to my scan tomorrow. Want to feel something apart from violently ill.
I've discovered I can eat cornflakes well enough, so even if I survive on those, its got to be better than nothing!

CarrotPuff · 18/12/2014 14:24

Hi all, can I join you?

I've got my BFP on Tuesday and I'm 4+4 today (although probably 5+ as I have shortish cycles).

This will be DC2, we already have a 13mo DS.

I'm having a GP appointment on the 30th, so hopefully will get the ball rolling from there.

I can't quite believe it, it hasn't sunk in yet Smile

CarrotPuff · 18/12/2014 14:25

Forgot to say EDD is 23rd August.

wavesandsmiles · 18/12/2014 14:46

mrsb - have you got some medication? You really ought to insist on some if things are that bad.... I'm in a state. had horrific HG the full course of my pg with DS2 (nearly 18 months) and spent much of the time in hospital. I seem now to be back in the throws of it and have no idea how to cope. I'm already on medication and yesterday stopped counting when I got to 20 vomit sessions. Nothing is staying down and I feel appalling. I have to be at work as (a) there are big deadlines and (b)I'm a single mum and sole provider for my 3DCs.

I honestly don't know what to do - my GP only gave me promethazine which doesn't touch the sides of HG for me, so I'm kind of resigned to the fact I'll have to wait to get hospitalized until I get decent meds. And in the meantime I am still breastfeeding DS2 and think I won't have any milk left for him. I just want to cry. And the circumstances are so bleurgh - contraceptive failure with my ex flipping husband.

mrsb0710 · 18/12/2014 14:51

waves they gave me stematil, but that hasn't done much. Feel for you, at least I'm not vomiting.

Hope it gets better, or at least they give you something stronger.

wavesandsmiles · 18/12/2014 15:58

Ah mrsb sorry it hasn't done much. There is a hyperemesis support thread somewhere which is great for "solidarity in suffering" or something if you can find your way there?

PiercedMrsL · 18/12/2014 16:06

MrsB I feel exactly the same as you! Been signed off work this week as I've felt so awful. Went back to docs today as I spent last night feeling the sickest I've ever felt, as well as very clammy and feverish.

Turns out I have a UTI of some sort, doc thinks it might be making the sickness worse. Been given new anti sickness meds and antibiotics so hopefully will be well enough to go back to work on Sunday. Feeling pleased I managed to eat a pizza today!

PerpetualSummer · 18/12/2014 18:49

Hi All

Can I join? I'm 6w + 4 but was getting brown spotting for about a week. Went to EPU last week and they did took blood and did a scan but could only see the gestational sac so they asked me to come back yesterday. This time, they also saw the yolk sac and there was a heartbeat. Spotting also stopped last week, so whilst relieved, finding it all a bit nerve wracking still considering I have barely any symptoms (unless waking up with pins and needles in my hands some mornings counts).

Brummiegirl15 · 18/12/2014 19:03

Hello Perpetual Carrot Polly and Elley welcome to our little thread!!!

Elley I've had 2 x mc's this year (5 weeks and 9 weeks) and I'm currently 7 weeks tomorrow but had a scan yesterday and saw a heartbeat so more optimistic!

I'm currently off work with a stinking cold and feel dreadful! Makes you realise how much you rely on lemsip etc

Feel shocking!!!

CarrotPuff · 18/12/2014 19:54

Brummie I feel for you, I too have had a horrid for a week now with no signs of improvement Confused

Equimum · 18/12/2014 22:35

Hello, can I tentatively join you, please?

Just found out that I am about 5 weeks with DC2. We already have a nearly two year old.

Feeling very surprised, excited and a little but terrified. We were planning to start trying for DC2 this month, and thought the first time was 'took a risk' was too late in my last cycle for anything to happen. Looks like we were wrong Grin!

Frolicacid · 19/12/2014 07:11

Good morning everyone. I've not posted again as I've been busy sleeping and vomitting! Thank you for the teeth cleaning advice, I'm now carrying mouthwash at all times.

I don't think it's that bad as the nausea isn't terrible. I'm just sort of
spontaneously being sick all the time! I am managing to keep hydrated, wich can only be a good thing. It's just typical that everything at this time of year involves food and booze. I feel like i'm gping to get found out very soon.

I'm sorry to everyone who is feeling terrible. It's no fun.

Lovely news about the early scan's. I hope everyone had a great Friday.

Dozygirl · 19/12/2014 07:44

Hope it doesn't get any worse for u frolic

I was feeling nauseous on and off but as long as I eat I'm fine. Don't feel it at all though this morning, just mega hungry.

On my works do last night and no one twigged I wasn't drinking because they were too busy getting way to drunk themselves. I sipped on some red wine but had hardly any in the end. Didn't really fancy it after all.

My only problem is feeling extremely hormonal. I think actually did cry last night but I wanted to cry many times! I felt like a princess though last night and I wanted to make the most of looking slim before I turn huge haha.

ruby242 · 19/12/2014 07:46

Welcome newbies!
Looks like there are lots of us sick ones around, unfortunately my morning sickness has started too :( Not actually being sick but feel like it, is horrible and am struggling to cope!!

Frolicacid · 19/12/2014 08:10

Thank you dozy. It seems that nausea is worse than vomitting, so I'm just pleased not to have that.
I have been super emotional too. Crying at the drop of a hat, or just because I'm tired.
Glad you got to feel like a princess last night. I'm a big, greasy, constipated lump! Glad my work xmas party today is just a pub meal and I had already decided not to join the rest of them out after. I think I may have to make up an urgent appointment for this afternoon so I can get away from the food!

I hope you feel better ruby.

Guyropes · 19/12/2014 08:38

Good morning everyone!

Hope you're all feeling alright.....

I've had a few days feeling really rubbish... Nauseous and heartburn and so weak. Fortunately my bf has been looking after me, which is great. Seem to be feeling a bit better now though.

Sounds like the scans have been mostly good, but I hope Chantelle, you get some reassurance soon.

I have now worked out how many weeks I am; 7+5, so creeping towards 8 weeks now which will be good.

Frolic, glad you've found some mouthwash and hope you're feeling a bit better.

Hello newbies!

Do you think we should make a list?

ElleyBear13 · 19/12/2014 08:52

Heyoo ladies hows everyone this morning? Having a bit of a nightmare booking to see the midwife! Apparently i cant book my booking appointment until i see the early bird clinic then i can phone back to make an appointment. I explained i still have the old bumf, paperwork and leaflets from my first early bird appointment.....ughh! Haha! I also really dont want to go 'cause last time i m/c the day after my early bird appointment and i dont think i can face going back. :( hows everyone today? xxx

ElleyBear13 · 19/12/2014 09:02

Woohoo! Finally got through to the midwife service team......and i dont need the early bird clinic phew! But they dont make appointments (ie four weeks time) that far in advance Hmm and i need to phone in two weeks time?so now what happens if i m/c again? How will the doctors know? Im feeling a little frustrated atm, and since falling pregnant in september ive really lost my trust in the nhs (took us five days to have a early scan!) sorry for the rant feel abit stressed out this morning :(

Emb540 · 19/12/2014 09:52

Morning everyone, I am so ill just rang nhs waiting for a call back. Started last night feeling sick didn't think anything of it, then server cramps started and couldn't keep off the toilet (sorry tmi) spent all night sat on toilet with bucket, never been so ill, poor hubbie had to put me in the shower at one point it got that bad. But what scares me incase it's food poisoning? Every time I got up I felt so faint my legs would go. Never fainted before so scared life out of me. I've tried to drink water but goes right through, just tried some bread but struggling Confused not sure what the nhs will do but I just want to know if I can take diorilyte (sp?)

ruby242 · 19/12/2014 13:20

End that sounds awful, I hope it goes soon and you get back to normal. Hopefully the nhs call you back soon with more help

Ellen glad at least you can skip the early bird clinic, must be hard for you after a mc

Just thought I'd let you fellow suffers of morning sickness know that this morning I bought some seasickness bands from boots and they seemed to have helped a lot!! Not sure if it's just the placebo but either way I'm happy! Also got some ginger tablets, peppermint tea and vitamin b6 so am stocked up to hopefully deal with this morning sickness a bit better :)

Shantotto · 19/12/2014 15:11

Hey all, hope everyone is doing ok! I've only been sick twice, at night after brushing my teeth! Feeling nauseous all day long though, if I get hungry it gets really bad so I'm eating constantly but all I want is browny beigey carbs!

Just on the way back from my early scan! They reckon I am actually 7+1 not 6+6 today. I saw and heard a heartbeat and a yolk sac! So no I know there is something in there after spending most of the week worrying that it had just disappeared. Allowing myself to feel much more excited now!

mrsb0710 · 19/12/2014 15:27

Have my early scan tonight, so nervous! Just want it all to be ok.

Managed to eat something decent today and not feel too ill - progress!
