Hey all.

Had my scan today - we have a heartbeat!!!!!!! Little one is 4mm and the heartbeat was fluttering away.

I admit I got a lump in my throat and when the sonographer said merry Christmas to me - that was it. The tears started.

We are being scanned again in 2 weeks time on NYE to make sure everything is growing ok. But as someone who has had 2 previous scans with bad news I can't believe today.

I never thought I would see my baby's heartbeat and today I did

I am 5+2 weeks and this is number 3 for me. Dd is 4, and Ds is 3 and now we'll really have our hands full!

We had our scan and could see really strong heartbeat! So relieved!

dozy it turned red yesterday so I rung the EPU again, they aren't concerned at the moment. They said they would only be worrying if it turned into period type bleeding as they saw the heartbeat on the scan last week. So have taken today off and done nothing, hardly any discharge today. Talk about confusing!!
DH is home soon, yay!!! Plus we have a private scan booked in for the weekend so that should reassure me again....

I went to the gp and she was really lovely, has given my some fybergel stuff to help get things moving and said if I have any more pain like last night to come straight back and they'll book a scan but as the pains got better and I have no bleeding it's very unlikely to be ectopic :)
Got my private scan booked for Monday so not too long to wait!

Daisy I've had really bad cramps in the night a few times too and I'm constipated, I think that might be the culprit! Hope you feel better.

lam keeping everything crossed for u. Glad you've taken time off. Resting is probably the only thing you can do to help it. Glad you've not had anymore bleeding.

Ooo hello all of you who just got married in August! I got married on the 1st - and my EDD is the 1st too!!

My scan was sketchy I should be 7w to my dates but theyes put me Vk to 5 . Said all looked ok no hb as to early and they found a cyst on my left side ( were I've been having pain) don't want to see me till I'm 12 now I wasn't allowed to look at screen either! Got terrible bk ache today n low pain in tummy like I'm going to come on I'm so stressed out about it

Whit sorry you are worried now. Are you able to pay for a private scan in a couple of weeks to check progress? Try not to worry. I've read about quite a few ladies who have had the same result but when they are scanned a couple of wks later the baby has caught up. Fingers crossed for you.

Were going to book for half way through jan, think im just feeling down in the dumps sickness taking it out of me thank you x

Okay abit about me:

Elley, 24, m/c in september at 6w2d, second pregnancy hopefully first born baby due Aug 31st (according to baby center!)

Has any other ladies had m/c before?

I dont know whether to take this as a good sign but...in my first pregnancy in september I was worried as soon as I got the BFP. I couldn't put my finger on it, instead of reading on early pregnancy symptoms I was reading on miscarriage, I had a feeling and I can't quite describe it but I knew it wasn't going to last. I also found it odd as she was my first baby/pregnancy and i thought I'd be jumping up and down in excitement, i remember finding out (bfp) and then singing her 'hang on little tomato' by pink martini.

Now with this pregnancy i feel calm, really weirdly calm. I thought i'd be panicking, scared, terrified that it'll happen again but I know it won't, this one feels strong. (Wtf! i sound bonkers any other ladies had this??) Also with my previous pregnancy I (and hubby) felt like she was a girl with this one I have not a clue.

Got the usual symptoms sore boobs, queasy and tugging down below. Going to take one day at a time with this little one.

Welcome elley totally hear you, I had a mc in september too at 5/6 weeks and from the start I just knew I wouldnt have a baby in may. I didn't say anything at the time because I thought I would sound crazy! This time feels very different though and I'm now 6+4 :) wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Morning, so pleased that the early scans are going well, very envious of those seeing a hb. I am exhausted today dd has a bad cold and has had me up lots the last 3 nights, have work Christmas do tonight and don't think I am going to make it late, feel quite sick in the evenings too.

Sooo jealous of all the early scans...there doesnt seem to be anywhere near me that does them!

Sorry a few of you are having a hard time hopefully were all here in August complaining how fat we are!

Welcome Ellie. I had a mc at 5 wks in May then a chemical pg in June. Totally understand what you're feeling. This time I'm nearly 5 wks ( got my BFP ages ago at 8dpo). BFPs are so much strong than last 2 times. Symptoms are strong too.... lots of nausea already.

I am lying in a hotel room just now after braving my work xmas dance. I made half a glass of wine last 2 hours then sneaked away to the hotel at 10.30. I think I got away with it!
There will be lots of hangovers in the office today so I should be able to mask my nausea. I font remember feeling this sick so early on with my first 2 (ages 13 and 10). I'm sure it didn't kick in until 6/7 weeks.
I'm petrified it's twins!
I'm ages so wel jel of all the early scans!!! I suppose I should probably phone my gp soon and get myself o the system. Happy 1st trimester peeps! x
