The lack of certainty is horrendous isn't it.

I had twins in my last pregnancy, with two bleeds one really heavy and bright red at 11wk. They both came along fine at 38 weeks.

What will be will be, it's hard to relax I know, but we have to try x

mrsb0710 · 16/12/2014 11:22

Signed off work for a week after an emergency trip to the doctors. Can barely move without needing to throw up. They're treating me at home for now as I'm not too dehydrated. Just need to monitor me. Work is not impressed, but I'm far from caring about that right now.

clairexxx · 16/12/2014 11:40

Thanks everyone. If I can't see anything then I'm going to tell myself it's too early!

Dozy, I would take the cream discharge as a good sign. Like you said, I think it was old blood. Maybe it's your uterus expanding.

Still not sure if I'm bloated or showing. My tummy seems to be sticking out quite low down. Just enough not to be able to do my jeans up. I've put on a skirt that was quite loose on me and now it's perfect. I weighed myself and I haven't put on any weight. Not sure if that's a good or bad sign.

Glitterrascal · 16/12/2014 12:18

Poor you Mrsb, I can totally relate, I am feeling beyond horrendous. Not eating, forcing myself to drink and an emotional wreck ??

Hello and congrats to all the newbies, I've been hiding in the wings the past week due to feeling so awful...hopefully will be more inclined to join in soon!

ruby242 · 16/12/2014 12:41

Sometimes its not very fun this early pregnancy stage is it! Poor Mrsb, I hope you start to feel better soon. Sickness has started to kick it for me along with tiredness today, I told my mum this morning to remind me to have my second child many years apart so they will be at preschool/school and I can rest sometimes while pregnant as it must be so hard for you mummies who already have a little one to look after while feeling bad. Lucky it for a good cause, bring on 12 weeks!

whitwoochantelle · 16/12/2014 12:53

I've got my early scan today referral through gp 6w n 4d

Brummiegirl15 · 16/12/2014 12:55

My work already know so they've given me disabled car parking so I don't fall in ice or in the dark!

Good luck Claire my scan is tomorrow!!!!

otter32 · 16/12/2014 14:09

Glad he's not away for too long lam.

One thing I'm finding really surprising is the vast differences in how quickly you get seen depending on where you live. It's so strange. Surely it should be the same for everyone??

It's exciting hearing about these scans! claire and brummie please do let us know how you get on! Pics if poss! Smile

Sickness seems to be taking quite a hold on me now along with food aversions. Just thrown my chilli away and opted for tinned ravioli instead! Bizarre.

cattyf · 16/12/2014 14:56

I'd like to tentatively join...a bit nervous at the moment!

We started TTC on NYE last year and after 6 months I hadn't had one single bleed, a scan confirmed PCOS (no symptoms other than the cysts and no periods), was referred to the fertility clinic and finally we had 2 ovulations in a row. I'm almost 32 and this was my first time TTC.

This morning I did a test (First Response) and it was positive, since did a digital one as well which confirmed it. Based on my dates the clinic think I am 5-6 weeks but it's difficult for them to tell.

I'm worried that I don't really have any symptoms at the moment, I was expecting some sickness or something.

The clinic told me to book an appointment with my GP so I am seeing them on Friday.

Sorry I don't really know all the abbreviations to use etc :)

CinnamonSummer · 16/12/2014 15:43

Congratulations and welcome catty!

Hope the scans went well today, were there three with early scans? Looking forward to the updates Smile

birchwoods · 16/12/2014 16:29

Congrats and welcome Catty Grin

Cinnamon I have my early scan on Sunday! Excited and nervous!

daisysunshine2 · 16/12/2014 17:34

I'm having a scan on Monday when I'll be 7+1 :)

cattyf · 16/12/2014 17:37

For those have early scans, are they NHS or private? Not sure what to expect from NHS seems to vary depending where you live!

clairexxx · 16/12/2014 17:45

I've had my scan! I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and so happy. I saw the sac and the yolk. No heartbeat but they were surprised they could see anything this early. Everything is as normal as it should be at this stage which has completely reassured me.

The spotting was due to the little one implanting nicely inside, exactly where it should be. Feel so much better now!

It was amazing to see even if I did have an internal scan! I've got to go back in 2 weeks for another one as they want to take new measurements. I'm glad they are keeping an eye on things Smile

I've had an early scan on nhs as I was spotting and didn't know how far along I was. Must say the services have been brilliant.

daisysunshine2 · 16/12/2014 17:50

I'm paying privately because of a previous miscarriage

claire so glad your scan went well :)

Dozygirl · 16/12/2014 18:09

Brilliant claire that's amazing u can see something so early on. So does that mean u were right with your dates and not further along as the doc thought? Good news about the spotting too.

My friends gonna let me know my blood results tomorrow then I'll have them repeated Friday then she can put a request in for early scan if I want it. Think it would put my mind at rest to have one either next week or the week after. At least before I go away in Jan anyway.

catty welcome and congrats. Must feel awesome to have finally got your bfp. Fx for a smooth journey from now on.

otter I've still no news about my booking in. I don't even have a number I can ring to try to organise it. Feels odd not to hear anything. I feel lucky that my friend is a midwife but I don't like to bombard her really plus she's struggling ttc herself. She was pleased for me. Just hope it's her turn soon.

ruby242 · 16/12/2014 18:13

Welcome catty :)

Congrats Clare, so happy for you that it has reassured you and great you get another one in 2 weeks, hopefully see the heartbeat then!

Yes is strange how every area is different-I've been invited to a group evening information night with the midwives where they make the booking appointment there.

birchwoods · 16/12/2014 18:19

Catty my scan is private as we want to tell parents and siblings over Christmas (it will be so obvious anyway as I won't be drinking so no point hiding it!) but want some reassurance before we do. I will be 6+6.

birchwoods · 16/12/2014 18:19

Claire, amazing news! So glad it went well and you feel better. Smile

clairexxx · 16/12/2014 18:34

Thanks everyone! Turns out I was spot on with my dates after all. It feels very real tonight Grin

mrsb0710 · 16/12/2014 19:07

So pleased for you claire :)

karatekimmi · 16/12/2014 19:32

glad you had a good scan Claire I bet your excited it.

never thought I#'d be saying this to a stranger but you discharge sounds promising dozy Grin

Welcome catty it can be weird - I keep wondering if I have made it all up, and I keep resisting getting more pregnancy tests

I'm really unsure about my dates now as I have been having flutterings like I did when I had my DS - it felt like tights unrolling on the inside (if that makes sense) I was pretty sure but now I wonder if I am further on than I think? probably not, it might just be wind!!

Brummiegirl15 · 16/12/2014 19:40

Fantastic news Claire - really chuffed for you.

I'll be 6+5 tomorrow for mine.

Welcome Catty!!

clairexxx · 16/12/2014 19:54

Kara, I know exactly what your describing over that fluttering feeling. I had that at 4 weeks and did wonder for a moment if I was imagining it!

Brummiegirl, thank you and good luck for tomorrow!

I haven't been able to stop thinking about the scan all evening. I'm also very emotional! My husband walked in with a huge bunch of flowers for me and I burst out crying! My husband hasn't stopped smiling either.

clairexxx · 16/12/2014 19:55

Oops, I meant Karate!
