dozy pleased to hear your scare seems to have settled. My brown discharge has finally stopped, fingers crossed it stays away. I know how scared you must have been.

birchwood I am 6 + 5

Have just been out with my dad for dinner who has been offering to drive all day so i could have a wine, no dad you enjoy a beer!! First proper meal I have had in a few days, feel stuffed now and slightly more sick!!

Dozygirl · 13/12/2014 23:08

That's good to here lam. How long have u been having it for and was it a lot? Mine was such a tiny amount about three times in a day and rest normal so it really was nothing to worry about in think but because that's how my periods start I immediately thought the worst. I'm gonna make a doctor's appointment sometime this week if I can so I can try to book in for early scan. I'm away from the 6th Jan though so not much time left to squeeze one in.

LAM1 · 13/12/2014 23:55

Last Sunday through to yesterday! First trip to EPU they only did a blood test, it was the second visit 48 hours later where they were more concerned about an etopic (greater risk on clomid) that they did a scan. I wouldn't hold out much hope for an NHS scan so early unless you have some history. As worrying as it is for us, they where really not fussed on my first visit. Bleeding/brown discharge is not normal but common they told me. Three times over a day would probably not give them any cause for concern but I know how you felt the first time you saw it. If the GP can't help maybe go private? I have a scan booked for next Sunday, we'd booked it before my trips to the EPU but I still want to go just to check that little heart is still beating away, plus DH missed the EPU scan which I know he is not happy about.
Right time for bed, fell asleep on the sofa and have just woke up.

whitwoochantelle · 13/12/2014 23:59

Evening ladies . Sickness sucks mine starts in the evening and hits me quite bad making me physically sick and I don't seem to be able to lie down as I feel I'm on a boat midwives Wednesday fir First appointment was on medication for last pregnancy for it all thus and I have a bloody water infection may invest in a she wee! Any body have any anti sickness tips other than ginger? I've been eating Greek yogurt up to now to settle sickness xx

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 00:38

One of my friends said she wwent to a&e for bleeding and got sent to epu from there and had a scan. Another said she lied about how far gone she was when she had the bleeding (she was earlier than she told them) in order to get a scan. Im not a good lier though lol. I'm not too concerned at the moment. But if it carries on then I'll go.

Good luck with your next scan :) glad it wasn't ectopic and all is good with the little bean.

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 02:20

I spoke too soon. It's getting worse. I'm terrified. It's quite wet liquid that's brown tinged and when I put my finger up there was a bit of pink. I've never been so scared in my life. Been sent home from work again for bed rest. It's ridiculous because I work a floor above the epu but they don't take self referrals, said I had to go through primary care and they just said it's implantation bleeding and to go home. You'd think being a neonatal nurse would get u some privileges. They could have just spoken to me and given me some reassurances as they are experts rather than just letting a generic nurse tell me it's implantation. I just have this really bad feeling about it and I so don't want it to be true.

Sorry to put a dampener on things. I don't want this at all :(

AliOh · 14/12/2014 07:57

Oh dozy I can't imagine how you are feeling Sad how are things this morning? I have everything crossed for you, hopefully it is just little bean burrowing in there Flowers

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 08:40

I'm too scared to go to the loo in case I see more. I'm just gonna stay in bed and move. Definitely not going to work tomorrow. This little bean is way to important to me.

mzzzf · 14/12/2014 08:48

Dozy, how far along are you?

mzzzf · 14/12/2014 08:56

If you're under 5 weeks it really could be implantation bleeding still. Try not to worry, difficult I know, and just keep an eye on it to look out for a change in colour or quantity.
My friend had awful bleeding for the first 6 weeks and will be delivering her baby in 2 weeks time, so bleeding doesn't always mean the end.

Relax, get those stress hormone levels down and look after yourself.

runninggirl85 · 14/12/2014 09:45

Hi Everyone, I got a positive test result last week and think I am 6 weeks tomorrow (or thereabouts ) meaning I'm due on 10th August. I have a dd who is nearly 10months and I made a great group of friends that I'm still I'm touch with from mumsnet so hoping to do the same this time round. Scared of having two under 2!
I'm jen by the way xx

toothachereturns · 14/12/2014 09:48

What a worry for you Dozy! I hope everything is ok. Confused
I've woken up to cramps (af type cramps). I am in a panic now too. I'm only 4 weeks. I'm so terrified it's a chemical pg again, but the tests have been getting so strong that it's not following that pattern. Oh ffs why can't we just zoom ahead to our 12 week scan! Confused

xBlueberry88x · 14/12/2014 10:01

Tooth Ive been getting cramps on and off since ovulation a lot of things are changing in your stomach so I wouldn't worry to much

Running Im also due on the 10th of August exciting!
Dozy Im sorry things arent easy but as mzzzf said a lot of ladies get a bit of bleeding. I think they only worry if theres a lot of red blood.

LAM1 · 14/12/2014 10:06

Dozy don't panic, I know its hard but keep positive. I was so worried when mine started but all is ok. I just turned up at my EPU, on the first visit they were a bit miffed that I hadn't gone to the GP first but my GP is useless. Seems crazy that you work there and can't pull a few strings.
From my manic googling it looks like they don't scan under 6 weeks. But over 6 they can. They can also blood test over 48 hours to see what way the hormones are going. If it carries on definitely get yourself referred by the doc tomorrow. I knew they couldn't do anything to help but it was the reassurance I was after. TMI for others I suspect but it it helps you my discharge started off a little pink and creamy and then the next day was brown and watery. What I would say though is don't spend the day on google, was the worst thing I did as I just wound myself up and was expecting the worst. I have my fingers crossed for you x

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 11:46

I know it's so silly that they couldn't see me without a referral or just at least spoken to me to reassure me, it's silly.

It's only there when i wipe, not in my knickers. I'm 5+2 so I'll be 6 by Friday. It was just when I reached up i saw red mixed in with brown so I immediately thought the worst that because the spotting was worsening and I was getting more that next thing it'll be red and all over.

I think it's easier for me not to be at work because every time I go to the loo i panic and cry but if I'm at home I know there's nothing I can do but rest. I feel like I'm trying with all my might to hold onto it. I'm even too scared to trump in case that pushes the baby out! I thought my cervix felt softer as well but then I've never been very good at determining the difference in feel of it so I may just be overthinking it. I think I just want to be offered at least blood tests to put my mind at ease.

Cramps have eased off too but that happens when i get my period too. I fee like a neurotic crazy person!!

clairexxx · 14/12/2014 11:57

Dozy, I rang up the out of hours doctor last night as I had some light brown spotting and got myself into a right state. The doctor was lovely and said I was right to call. She asked if I was getting any cramps, and I said no, which I wasnt. She said if I started getting cramps to call back and they would do a scan.

I didn't have any spotting during the night but I have this morning. Still no cramps but I'm resting. its so frightening isn't it? I'll be 6 weeks on Wednesday and just want a scan now incase I am 10 weeks along like my doctor thinks I am.

If you feel worried Dozy, call the out of hours doctor. Huge hugs x

LAM1 · 14/12/2014 12:02

Again probably TMI for others, but if it helps put your mind at rest when they did the internal exam on me the gloves and speculum came out covered in red blood which continued for the rest of that day. The doc tried to hide the blood from me but I saw it and he said he wasn't shocked by and only hadn't wanted me to see it as it was nothing to worry about.
From what they told me I think you are fine. If you need to take a few days off then do.

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 12:12

Thanks everyone.

I have been getting cramps but I've had them on and off since 7dpo up until now so I've figured they are normal. They're just uncomfortable not painful. Will ring doctors and see what they say. I don't even know how to sort things out out of hours. I'm so useless.

My dp is making me breakfast in bed though so that's nice :)

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 12:13

BTW lam for me it's never tmi, the more detail the better. I really appreciate it. Is this your first?

clairexxx · 14/12/2014 12:21

Enjoy your breakfast Dozy. I rang NHS Direct and they contacted the out of hours doctor. The doctor also said to me that it's common with your first pregnancy. She said the uterus is expanding which can cause some cramps and bleeding.

Lam, like Dozy it's never tmi for me either!

LAM1 · 14/12/2014 12:37

dozy yep this is my first. I was given paracetamol at the EPU for cramps. Mine feel like period pains, more uncomfortable than painful. Again they told me cramps were normal. Don't worry about feeling useless, I didn't even know the EPU existed until someone on mumsnet mentioned it!

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 13:06

Was the discharge just wiping lam or was it a full flow?

LAM1 · 14/12/2014 13:10

It was on and off - enough to need a liner, which needed changing regularly.

Dozygirl · 14/12/2014 13:16

OK mines just in wiping but I investigate up there in get darker blobs come out but definitely just brown.

Just need another test and it's even darker than the one i did 2 days ago so that must be a positive sign.

Now I just need to chill and enjoy my day in bed haha.

PiercedMrsL · 14/12/2014 14:50

I'm the same. Diet these past few days has been appalling, all I've eaten is toast, crackers, and some chocolate!
