Hello, please can I join this thread? I got my BFP earlier this week. GP has worked due date out to be 3rd August!!
I already had one DD who is 18months and I've forgotten already how I was feeling symptom wise with her!!

daisysunshine2 · 06/12/2014 15:37

Hey polka welcome :) hope you have a smooth and easy pregnancy!

claire I've been feeling a bit uncomfortable too and a friend said the Dr told her it's just the extra blood flow and circulation to the area alongside the bloating but it's completly normal :)

AliOh · 06/12/2014 16:10

So sorry casio Flowers hope you are on another antenatal thread soon.

No symptoms for me as yet, I just feel drained but was up a couple of times with DS last night so probably that. Although he did give me an unexpected lie in this morning which was nice Grin

Anyone else going to be having 2 under 2? I'm sure I'll be in a full state of panic come August but not a lot I can do about it now Hmm

iamhopeful · 06/12/2014 17:01

Two under 3 for us, number 1 will be 2 and a half in August, might need some extra strong coffee by then!

Nona11 · 06/12/2014 17:07

Hi can I join?

I'm 5 weeks pregnant with tiredness and nausea in full swing! This is mine and DH baby #1 due around early August I'm booked in to see the midwife on the 23rd of this month and I cant wait I'm so excited!
We we're TTC for 13 months before it finally happened for us, now I can go coo over the baby section without being told to rein it in!

clairexxx · 06/12/2014 17:25

Thanks Daisy for the reassurance. I'm finding it a bit difficult to eat at the moment. I'm not actually being sick but just don't fancy anything heavy at the moment. Shame really as before I found out I was pregnant I spent the previous week using the slow cooker and filling the freezer up with stews etc!

The only thing I enjoy eating at the moment is salads and snacking on nuts/seeds and carrot sticks! I do try and eat healthy normally but not to this extent!

My stomach is still bloated but the aches and twinges have stopped.

Hi Nona, congratulations! You must be so pleased after trying for thirteen months. This will be our first child too.

I can't wait to get my appointment letter! I can't stop smiling at the moment!!

nannynome · 06/12/2014 17:46

AliOh I am in the 2 under 2 club with you, DS is 11 months and I am due around 3rd august. Freaking out mildly due to costs more than anything but new childcare guidlines will be in by then so will be leaving our voucher scheme and going to the new one.

Keep worrying whether we are doing the right thing for DS, thinking about getting him a doll to help his understanding since we can't really explain it to him.

AliOh · 06/12/2014 18:06

nannynome my DS is only just 7 months oops Shock to be honest I don't think he will Understand when this baby comes so hoping we can skip over any jealousy issues. My OH works away as well so hoping he will be home by then as I don't think I will cope with 2 on my own! I was BFing and OH is only home 1 week a month so really hit the jackpot with this one didn't we Grin

AliOh · 06/12/2014 18:08

Hi nona congratulations!

claire I think I lived on salted tortilla chips for about 5 weeks when pregnant with DS that's all I could eat!

Daveface · 06/12/2014 19:34

My first two were two under two. The double naptimes are truly glorious!!! They are 3 & 18m now and it's so wonderful. They play lovely together.

This is #3 and will be three under four !! My first is just about giving up her naps now though so my midday lunch break will be a thing of the past!

AliOh · 06/12/2014 19:46

daveface I'm really hoping I will be able to get them in similar routines eventually otherwise I'll never get anything done but I don't think it will be easy!!

mrsb0710 · 06/12/2014 21:05

Got my midwife letter today, a booking appointment on 5th, and a midwife appointment on the 9th. Ive been told I may be classed high risk, due to my IBD and medications I take. We shall see what happens, all very new territory for me!

Sparrowlegs248 · 06/12/2014 21:29

All this talk of 2 under 2 is terrifying! This Will be our first, and as it took 20 cycles to get a bfp I assume we wouldn't be that quick at having a second!

Can I ask advice please? I went to see my GP, he said I Will get an appointment with the midwife but not til 12 wks. Also mentioned 'shared care' due to some heart problems. A lot of you seem to be getting appointments much sooner, what do you suggest? Is it normal not to see someone until 12 wks?

clairexxx · 06/12/2014 22:12

Hi Nottalotta, I'm waiting for my appointment letter at the moment after seeing my doctor on Thursday. I was kind of too excited to be thinking straight so I didn't think to ask when it would be! The doctor isn't sure how far along I am, could be 4 or 8 weeks.

I'm hoping to have an appointment for 4 weeks time as I would be 8 or 12 weeks by then. If I haven't had a letter soon my husband suggested we have a private scan. I've no idea how long these things take!

xBlueberry88x · 06/12/2014 22:24

I couldnt even get gp appointment until next Friday to as the receptionist said 'make sure im really pregnant' im hoping itll move quick from there though

whitwoochantelle · 06/12/2014 22:48

I've booked a private scan for the 19th should be 8 weeks bythenjoy I'm to nervous/ scared to wait x

AliOh · 07/12/2014 06:37

Exciting that you have your booking in already mrsb Grin

nottalotta you usually have a 'booking in' appointment at around 8-10 weeks they then refer you to the hospital for a dating scan at 12 weeks. It could be slightly different in your area though. If you google antenatal appointment the nhs website has a list of roughly when they should be and what wil happen at them Smile

claire id say you should get an appointment letter through soon, if not though no harm in giving the midwives a ring. I was seen late on last time, because Id never been admitted to hospital in this area they didn't have a hospital number for me so some helpful person put my file to one side and forgot about me Shock I'm in the same boat I could be either 4 or 8 weeks but more likely 4!

blueberry that's odd that she said to make sure you're really pregnant! I just went into the gp and asked for a referral form for the midwives, the receptionist very helpfully asked what it was for Hmm

Good news chantelle not long to wait now!

LAM1 · 07/12/2014 08:28

Woke up to some pink discharge.....have googled but it's a mine field so have stopped looking. Guess I'll be spending the day on knicker watch, so worried!!

AliOh · 07/12/2014 08:35

Try not to worry lam Flowers although I know it's easier said than done and definitely stay away from Google! Do you know how far along you are? If it's pink discharge it could be implantation bleeding.

LAM1 · 07/12/2014 08:49

6 weeks tomorrow. Have stopped googling as it was not helping, for every 1 thing that said don't worry there was something that said ring midwife straight away. Supposed to be studying today, can't imagine I'll be getting much done!

AliOh · 07/12/2014 09:01

No it is a worry, I really hate this first 12 weeks they just drag as well it makes everything worse. Pink or brown spotting in early pregnancy is normal though, it's red blood you have to worry about (although not always a problem either). Hope you manage to get some of your studying done Flowers

gakay · 07/12/2014 09:59

Hey girls. Think I'm out again. My pink discharge has turned into proper fresh period like bleed with constant ache and deflating boobs. Exactly like the last time. This is f'ing tough game. Good luck to you all x

em165 · 07/12/2014 10:00

Hope all is ok LAM and you aren't worrying too much (easier said than done, I know). I hope the whole pregnancy isn't as worrying as the first trimester already is. Time is going to pass really slowly if it is!

Hope everyone is well. Has anyone experienced sickness yet? x

wavesandsmiles · 07/12/2014 10:33

Tentatively poking my head in here.... Had an absolute surprise this morning with an unplanned bfp, rather complex situation but deep down very excited and happy. I have ds1 10, dd 9, ds2 nearly 18 months and due date looks to be 5 August. I was really ill with HG in my last pregnancy but no nausea yet... Just the past few weeks when I sneezed by tummy muscles really hurt which made me think... Maybe? And it was an instant bright test line.

Complication is it is almost certainly ds2's dad who's the father but we split up when I was pg with ds2, and subsequently divorced. Outside chance it's my ex bf so I'll be doing this alone. Christ. I'm 36, a home owner and hold down a v senior professional job and feel a little like a Jeremy Kyle guest.

Still breastfeeding my youngest and was on the mini pill so huge surprise.

Will try to get up to speed with everything and probably post again once I've seen my GP...

Shantotto · 07/12/2014 10:35

Sorry to head that gakay - thinking of you. Flowers

I'm worried today as I didn't have any symptoms yesterday and have previously has some mild cramps for a few days and felt nauseous. Today I feel crampy again so now I'm worried that's too much cramping!

No discharge of any kind though so am sure it's ok. The last test I took was so faint I was convinced it wasn't even a cross when it obviously was, tempting to get more tests but I know that's mad!

Hope everyone is feeling ok.
