BanglesSpangles · 06/11/2014 10:25

hmm- maybe i'll just watch the end bit!

hanflan · 06/11/2014 11:04

I had my 24 week midwife appt yesterday (even though I'm now 26 weeks haha, oh well). Bump is measuring slightly on the larger side as I expected, but still well within normal range so that's good! Little Pickle kept kicking the doppler, little minx Grin

In other news, I have a new maternity dress from ASOS and it has lots of room for bump, almost feels like I'm wearing a tent so I can't decide if I like it or not?! Also went to work with all the tags hanging out of the back... yay preggo brain!

han- i have two asos dresses that i have now decided are ridiculously massive- thought they were ok when I bought them (or at least the best of a bad bunch) but i really wish i'd sent them back now- i just look sodding huge in them!

hanflan · 06/11/2014 12:57

Haha bangles I have come to the conclusion that ASOS own brand sizing is very generous and will order down next time! Can't be arsed sending this one back as I wanted it for this weekend! Could always whip out my sewing machine and take it in a little.

Hi All. Have had a busy few days at work and have ended up needing to take today off sick as I have run myself almost to the ground and feel rubbish, so just catching up with you all as I sit on the sofa in my dressing gown with the cat. Did really not feel up to a trip to Oxford today that would have included a 3km hike in the cold to do a site visit. Think I 've made the right decision. Baby is rewarding me with lots of activity at 3 hour intervals so I'm guessing this will be his/her routine once born...

Was at a meeting yesterday in Worthing with a college who is approx 6 weeks behind with her pregnancy. I asked her how far along was she and she said she didn't know and hadn't been keeping track and tbh didn't really want to think about it! I couldn't be like that. I know exactly how far along I am at all times. I just couldn't drift through my pregnancy like that...

hanflan · 06/11/2014 14:35

grinning that is far too laid back for my liking! Surely she must know based on when her midwife appointments are?! I track my pregnancy to the DAY haha

Grinningcat · 06/11/2014 14:46

That's exactly what I am like hanflan. I don't get it myself. She did say she has her 20 week scan in a couple of weeks. She also said that at her last me app (16 weeks?!) the Mw only listened for the baby's HBOs because my friend should have been feeling movement by that point?!

Grinningcat · 06/11/2014 14:46

Me? I meant Mw.

Grinningcat · 06/11/2014 14:48

And HBO's? What are they? Stupid spellcheck. I meant heartbeat.

hanflan · 06/11/2014 14:48

Haha really?! I didn't feel a thing until 19 weeks! Oh well! Is it her first? I can imagine being slightly more laid back about my second but the first time you are going through it everything is so new and exciting!

OP posts:
Grinningcat · 06/11/2014 14:55

No it's her first.

L1ttleMissGiggles · 06/11/2014 16:22

Afternoon Ladies
So I have been happily sitting at work munching on a bag of giant buttons and now I have the worst heartburn ever....chocolate can't give me heartburn thats just too cruel!! x

thingsarelookingup · 06/11/2014 17:06

Grinning I could never be like that. I know my pregnancy to the day and got annoyed when they took me back a day at my 12 week scan (we used opk's to conceive so I'm pretty confident about my dates). This is my second pregnancy too!

thingsarelookingup · 06/11/2014 17:11

I wrote a big message yesterday and the universe appears to have eaten it. Basically I really enjoyed the thread yesterday and it reassured me that I am normal to be not as in to dtd as before (quite often too tired/ grumpy/ or in pain to even think about it). Also I had been stupidly worrying about little ones movements changing and glad to hear so many others say they change when they settle in a new spot. I thought I would stop worrying so much when I could feel her moving regularly but now I just seem to find other stupid things to worry about.

BanglesSpangles · 06/11/2014 17:49

oh my god, i have chocolate buttons in my desk! thanks l1ttlemiss- that'll get me through another hour!

2 more days, then our website is launched and I can go back to 7 hour days, rather than 14 hour ones!

Memphisbelly · 06/11/2014 18:21

Evening ladies. So I weighed myself ......you can all hate me now I have only put on 5 pounds....this far along last time was 2 stone! Shock This calls for defrosting of freezer and ice cream stock ups!

I have been so busy at work I felt sick on days i am with mum its ok but on my own picking stuff off the floor and a constant queue of 5-6 people is killing me I didn't eat until 2! The heating went in my car so ended up with my head under bonnet before driving home but I have fixed it!
I have my whooping cough vaccine tomorrow and dentist to sort my chipped veneer.

Think baby got the hiccups earlier I was getting regular jolts every 20 seconds for about 10 mins Grin

GeekyHybrid · 06/11/2014 20:14

Well done Memphis, you're probably heading for a telling off for not putting weight on at this rate! I would weigh myself but I still don't know where the scales are. I've no idea whatsoever, as to my weight or where I put the scales.
Really must get our bedroom sorted so that we can get back in there and sort through the spare rooms, start work on a nursery etc.. OH went to his brothers today and we now have a cot, dismantled and stacked on top of a bed in the little spare room. Also got given bottle steriliser kit and play 'nest' from BIL and then another friend gave me a bag of clothes / blankets etc. Apart from anything I need somewhere to start storing all the baby stuff we're acquiring. Today is officially 3 months to go! Nothing like a deadline to actually get us moving ;-/

BanglesSpangles · 06/11/2014 20:16

impressive work, memphis. Last time i checked I'd added 8... worried about it momentarily, but i figure it's meant to be the third tri you put most of your pounds on, so i think I'm happy- last to lose at the other end!

That said I'm blatantly getting a dirty chicken burger on the way home

Memphisbelly · 06/11/2014 20:18

Geeky I did say to my mw about weightgain and she said as long as I don't lose any this late on she is ok with it, last time I had put on a ton of weight then started losing late on they they told me to up my calorie content to maintain what I had put on!

Made ratatoille for tea it was amazing, and after kneeling on floor for nearly an hour sorting freezer I can barely move, dh is running me a bath

Memphisbelly · 06/11/2014 20:29

I think it is only because I couldn't eat any of the naughty food I used to devour every day for first 5 months but have made up for it over recent weeks, im fully expecting to balloon over next 11 weeks Grin

Bangonthedoor · 06/11/2014 21:34

Wow memphis! You definitely deserve to stock up on ice cream! I weighed myself at work on Tuesday and I've put on 1st 4lb! Shock I thought it was more but i misheard the person who weighed me last time!

Viperama · 06/11/2014 23:11

Question - at 26 weeks, will my boobs get any bigger? They are huge for me, I can't imagine them getting even bigger....

LittleMissSunshine33 · 07/11/2014 07:01

Morning all well done Memphis I'm too scared to weigh myself!
Viper I think they will as the milk comes in, mine are a little sore at the moment!

Well today my first baby I lost would of been due today, I know my baby now is so special and last time it wasn't meant to be but still little kiss for my angelThanks

Bangonthedoor · 07/11/2014 07:29

Aw thinking of you littlemiss it's hard isn't it Thanks you'll always have your little angel

Bangonthedoor · 07/11/2014 07:31

DD has another sickness bug! She was with MIL yesterday at her house with one of her little cousins who was sick and I just knew DD would get it. That's the next few days written off for me, I'll just wait my turn!
