Ah littlemiss thinking of you today Thanks

Viper they will grow probably another 2 cup sizes once milk comes in about 3 days after baby arrives Shock

Grinningcat · 07/11/2014 07:44

Also thinking of you littlemiss.

I have put on a stone now at 24weeks + 6. That is c.11% extra of my bodyweight I'm already carrying around. No wonder I feel tired.

BanglesSpangles · 07/11/2014 09:14

Flowers for littlemiss

Sodding trains up the spout again, but after yesterday's convo about getting seats on tubes, I'm amazed to say that someone actually speed me this morning and offered me their seat Smile

bagofsnakes · 07/11/2014 09:20

Hugs to you LittleMiss Flowers

Viper, yep as Memphis said you can expect another cup or so when that milk come in! I just wore sleep bras for the first month or so after birth as it wasn't as if I was doing much of anything that required support and they were the most comfortable. When I felt that they'd 'settled' into what would be my new size (around 4-5 months post baby) I went to Bavissimo and got myself sorted with some good big-booby bras. Although by the time things had settled down I hadn't grown that much over all. C before pregnancy, D/DD after but was an E cup for a couple of months after birth.

The things our bodies go through! All worth it though.

Memphisbelly · 07/11/2014 09:25

Day 5 after baby and that is when my boobs took on a life of their own they looked like a blow up dolls the way they just defied gravity like 2 bald head. My mum put one of the bras on her head like a hat and it was too big! Shock By day 10 I was back to a D/DD though (bottlefed)

Have you all seen the John Lewis Ad.....I cried....more than once......dh laughedBlush

JacktheLab · 07/11/2014 09:26

Littlemiss

Hope you are easy on yourself today x

Funny thing, cos I'm overweight and diabetic I'm expected to put as little weight on as possible! Limited sugar is def helping keep my weight down I've probably not put on more than five or six pounds, so quite happy with that Grin

hanflan · 07/11/2014 09:33

Thinking of you littlemiss. Spend the day remembering your little angel and looking forward to the new one that is to come. Take it easy and be kind to yourself.

The docs have just called me regarding my bloods I had on weds I have very hight white blood count in my blood does anyone know what this could be? Still have +++ protein in urine too, bit concerned that they call me not even 2 full days after a test as doc is concerned but then say come back in 2 weeks for re test

amyandtom · 07/11/2014 10:13

L1ttlemiss Flowers

Memphis I would say just guessing mind, white blood cells are higher when there is a bug in your system so a cold may be headed your way if the white blood cells don't manage to fight it off x

jenmcspen · 07/11/2014 10:27

memphis think it can be a sign of a urinary infection so prob why they are checking up again

littlemiss thinking of you today x

Memphisbelly · 07/11/2014 10:38

excellent thanks ladies with high protein too i am unsure why they havent given me anti bs as a cautionary measure

memphis yes hopefully some infection. I got worried too when I got an appt letter followed by gp ringing to say he made an urgent referral. Turned out both hospital and gp were worried! They start with retesting bloods first before going into bone marrow tests etc (bit scary). I had my bloods taken on Tuesday and again in 2 weeks time when I see the consultant again.

I've put on just under 9 pounds but then again I more or less lost 6 pounds when I was in the hospital.

PeppermintInfusion · 07/11/2014 10:48

I've put on about 6lbs so far which I'm quite surprised at- I had put on a bit of weight just before TTC (my last hurrahs involved a lot of eating and drinking, going on holiday etc so I gained a bitBlush) so I was conscious of not putting on a lot. Saying that I've been carb obsessed and have went through phases of having an incredibly sweet tooth or extreme crisp cravings which I thought would put it on.
My bump is quite small though, despite my baby being very long and measuring slightly ahead as a result.

I found this site the other day, seems quite useful - you put it your height and weight and it estimates what week by week gain should be based on your own measurements.

www.baby2see.com/pregnancy_weight_calculator.html

hanflan · 07/11/2014 11:14

According to that website I haven't gained anywhere near enough, oops! Only 4lbs so far, but that's because I was so sick for so long, and also I had a teeny bit of extra podge to spare before so midwife isn't at all concerned! (BMI was 27 at booking in appt!)

BanglesSpangles · 07/11/2014 11:25

ha- crikey, i thought i was doing well for only putting 8 on! You lot are properly showing me up- where is all that ice cream going, eh?!

hanflan · 07/11/2014 11:56

I suppose it also helps that I completely went off chocolate up until a couple of weeks ago! That was definitely my downfall before! I managed a few weeks of eating EVERYTHING after the sickness passed, gained a lot of the lost weight back, and now I'm at the stage where my stomach feels squashed all the time so I can manage very small meals otherwise I get horrendous heartburn!

Grinningcat · 07/11/2014 12:20

Peppermint I just tried the link and it says that I was underweight before I got pregnant and that I have below average weight gain when I have put on a stone! I was briefly concerned and then realised it wasn't a UK website and therefore might be slightly different. I found a similar UK website www.direct2mum.co.uk/WebPages/weight-gain-calculator
which says I'm smack bang in the middle of where I should be. Sigh of relief breathed. Thought for a moment I should eating more chocolate than I already am! Grin

PeppermintInfusion · 07/11/2014 12:35

Thanks for that Grinning, strangely I came out the same on both calculators. Just glad to know I'm not bigger than I should be!

amyandtom · 07/11/2014 13:04

I have only put on 3lb as I had morning sickness until about 20 weeks, I'm now just above my pre pregnancy weight as I lost so much early on

amyandtom · 07/11/2014 13:11

The UK website says I'm 8kg under average for this stage of pregnancy at my weight and height Confused baby is measuring fine though so must just be me! Despite all the chocolate cake, biscuits, croissants and hot chocolate Grin Cake x

JacktheLab · 07/11/2014 13:29

I really wouldn't worry about it, everyone is different and so long as the baby is ok that's the important thing Smile

Memphisbelly · 07/11/2014 13:50

It really is nothing to worry about I have gonecfrom a 12-14 trouser to a size 10 everyone says I look slimmer than ever before from behind so I know where I have lost weight and put it on.

So I had the whooping cough vaccine having been told I will have no ill effects and then after she went to put it in the system and saw my vaccine page empty apart from tb and said there must be an error.....I said no I had never been vaccinated as a child so she then says oh you will get some symptoms then because your body has never had these antibodies before, went through list of stmptoms to expect and told me to go home and rest for day....Within an hour I was sick Confused

Grinningcat · 07/11/2014 14:25

Well that's something for me too look forward to then as well Memphis as I have never had the Whooping Cough vaccine either. Lovely. Hmm

Memphisbelly · 07/11/2014 15:33

Grinning no I mean I have never had any vaccines ever, not even as a baby so don't worry you should be ok, just a bit shocked she didn't look before giving me the jab!

freneticfox · 07/11/2014 17:11

Thanks for littlemiss

I'm not weighing myself, in fact I'm just leaving it to the midwife to tell me if I'm gaining too quickly/not enough etc. I have some genuine issues with my body size and type, and as long as I am healthy for the pregnancy, I don't want to get obsessed with numbers. In my mind I would like to get back into my 'happy' size 10 jeans at some point next year!

Finally had physio today, as I suspected SPD/PGP. Got a lot of reading material and a few exercises. The physio was startled at how stiff my hips are, so it was kinda nice to have validation for that!

Am now shattered and planning on beaching myself on the sofa for the evening. Zzzz...
