Frenetic.....do not apologise this is a place you can bitch and moan as much as you want to and not feel like you have to justify it, being pregnant for a small number of women is very pleasant and wonderful....most at some point during the 9 months have a shitty time, some have an awful 9 months and some have issues after the birth so please please dont say sorry you are allowed to moan when pregnant!

Memphisbelly · 29/11/2014 03:58

been up for last hour agh tick tock tick tock

Minichuch · 29/11/2014 04:13

Memphis I'm up as well - awesome isn't it Sad

blankfornames · 29/11/2014 06:37

I've been up also for the past two hours, just catching up on the news here.

Frenetic, such a shower of a-holes. Sorry you're going through all of this at a time that can be stressful and worrying enough. Definitely go to the Citizen's Advise Bureau and see what your next step is. Are you planning on returning there after your mat leave?

littlemiss, although I haven't yet experienced it, once heard it's very common at this stage of pregnancy. seems like a damn waste if you ask me!

Happy days Jen! Hope your liver sorts itself out!

All good here. Just feeling big and awkward and the constant toilet trips have returned! I have my next hospital appointment next Wed (28+6), Mum is coming so I'm very excited about her coming to the scan part. Although I bet she won't be able to make Bean out!!

Have a nice (uneventful) weekend everyone and keep smiling Frenetic.

blankfornames · 29/11/2014 06:51

P.S..Just saw my first August 2015 announcement post! Eeeeeshk, we're almost at the top of the high jump now ladies! Wink

donkir · 29/11/2014 07:33

I was also up at stupid o'clock. Dp said "are you getting up for another wee?" I said "no I'm getting up before I put a pillow over your face to stop the incessant snoring!" Think it will be a good job he's at work today as I'm going to be grumpy as hell.

jenmcspen · 29/11/2014 07:52

It seems like bump is determined to be a January baby. I have been told they are unlikely to let me go past 37 weeks which would be early Jan.

blankfornames · 29/11/2014 07:53

ha ha Donkir, nice response!!

BanglesSpangles · 29/11/2014 08:23

Morning all, whole week of conference was fab- was asleep on the sofa by half 8 thought!

Frenetic- if your hr dept dont take the facebook stuff seriously, i would definitely be seeking legal advice- in a way, as much as its awful how youre being treated, i feel like its really the hr departments fault for not dealing with it competently!

Jen, hope the liver is ok- at least its been picked up on earlyish- my work colleague was convinced she had OC as her sister had and she recognised the symptoms but despite 6 weeks of tests they couldnt 'prove' that was what it definitely was- lots of hospital visits for her!

JacktheLab · 29/11/2014 09:00

Good morning all :)

I've had a fabulous eleven hour sleep (sorry to the insomniacs - I've been suffering a lot recently too!)

Jen, how are you feeling about an early delivery? I hope you feel that at least you are excited about seeing the baby sooner? I know with my DS I was desperate for him to come by 36/37 weeks!

Frenetic, hope things get better for you, this is the place you can use to complain about it, it's the point of these groups to have a bunch of other women who are at the same point of pregnancy and can sympathise with you. Does that make sense???

I've been watching all this black friday nonsense on the tv, we didnt fancy buying anything in the sales thankfully, so havent been tempted into the shops, I don't think I would like to have been trying to buy a tv though!

Hope everyone has a lovely day today, we are going swimming with small person and then there is a craft fair in Perth so going to have a potter around before lunch out and then home to make pumpkin pie :)

Viperama · 29/11/2014 17:08

Hello All.

I'd a doula come to my home today, I was promptly told off for my seating position, as it wouldn't encourage baby into the correct position. We should be seated in one of two ways.

Either lying down on couch, on left side. Or sitting up, with back straight, with feet on ground (or minimum knees lower than hips). If chair/couch is too deep to achieve this, use pillows behind you so you're sitting closer to the edge of chair/couch. I've been properly told....and she's hired!!! X

Viperama · 29/11/2014 17:09

I'm a back sleeper...but that's now out as well apparently.

jenmcspen · 29/11/2014 18:01

Still getting used to the idea of early delivery jack but I am sure once I feel a bit less panicked it will be fine! Grin

Good news is that pram arrived today Grin Grin Grin Grin hooray - has cheered me right up!

Memphisbelly · 29/11/2014 19:48

Jen have they let you home now?
By 37 weeks you will be wanting baby out...my friend went into labour at 36 weeks and was home 4 hours later baby was totally fine and so was she. You just have 3 less weeks to get everything sorted.

Im going to have a cake and go to bed im in an awful mood, ds and dh have pushed my buttons today and im so grumpy

Memphisbelly · 29/11/2014 19:59

Ooh my changing bag arrived today too Grin its lovely I just want to fill it now!

jenmcspen · 29/11/2014 21:03

Yes memphis am home now but will be back in on mon I think although I'm not expecting to be re-admitted. Hospital is sooo boring! Lots of waiting round for ppl to make decisions about you!

Memphisbelly · 29/11/2014 21:10

Ah thank goodness you are home, rest up and enjoy nice food I hate hospitals I will never understand why my friend asks to stay in for an extra day to rest, most stressful places going, hardly somewhere to rest Grin. Hope you don't have to go back in to stay until the day you have baby.

Viperama · 29/11/2014 21:45

Gaviscon is amazing

Memphisbelly · 30/11/2014 09:26

Viper I cannot touch the stuff makes me gag, I was scoffing Rennies in desperation to clear mine last night but it just eased it.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday, we are taking ds to the transport museum that we last went to when he was a few months old, looking at old pictures he has been asking to go there so hoping for a good day, trying not to be snippy today lets see how long it lasts Grin

Bangonthedoor · 30/11/2014 09:43

Have a lovely day memphis. DD and I are going to a frozen party this afternoon....wish me luck!

jenmcspen · 30/11/2014 09:51

Arrgh, sorry for moaning but fed up - having to go back into hospital Sad meh!

blankfornames · 30/11/2014 09:52

Is there anyone like me out there having not bought anything baby related yet?!

BanglesSpangles · 30/11/2014 10:27

Hi all, taking a brief break from stripping wallpaper (viper, am heeding your doula's advice about sitting positions!). Project 'sort out the baby's room' is finally underway

Sending hugs and cake, jen- is it just for monitoring, or is there anything theyre worried about?

Blank- think ive bought most of the stuff we need now- not that its organised in any way- just in heaps around the house! I can remember being really 'aaaggghhh!' about making the first purchase though, thinking it was some poignant moment... Cant even remember what i bought now!!

donkir · 30/11/2014 10:36

Jen sending lots of love and positive vibes.

Viper gaviscon tablets are my best friend. I could probably cope without them but I'm such a pig. Ate half a family size lasagne and garlic bread last night and wondered why I was suffering.

I've got everything baby related bought and stored. Crib just needs assembling. Thought I was done until Gap had 40% discount yesterday so I just had to get 2 all in ones and a cardi Blush

Memphisbelly · 30/11/2014 11:56

oh no Jen hope you are out soon.

we have everything for baby now but it doesn't stop me spending Blush Blush
