Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

GingerbreadHead · 17/11/2014 08:47

Ah that's handy for you WantTo! Do you have a date for it yet?

Number3cometome · 17/11/2014 08:51

Morning,
Peanut butter and mashed banana on toast down the hatchet, now off to a 3.5 hour meeting at work.
Someone may need to pinch me to wake me up
Supershiv I am nearly 34, but the high risk is due to eclampsia in previous pregnancy x

WantToGoingTo · 17/11/2014 09:01

Ginger Think my Mum is just going to grab whichever work friend is available on Christmas Eve! I am 10 weeks on Boxing Day, so wanted to do it as close to then as possible.

Fleurchamp · 17/11/2014 10:15

I am having an early scan on Xmas eve. We want to tell our families on Xmas eve/ Christmas Day and I want to be sure that all is well first.

Do not feel pregnant at all today. May do another test to check!

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 17/11/2014 10:28

I won't be having an early scan Ginger. By dates I'll be 12 weeks on 19th December but as I haven't even heard back about a booking in appointment yet I doubt I'll get a scan before Christmas. I've told my parents and sister already and we'll tell DH's family when we see them at Christmas anyway, nobody else needs to know for a while so I'm happy to wait and save the money!

Feeling so rough I don't need a scan to tell me I'm pregnant at the moment! I have almost constant car-sick type nausea except while I'm actually eating (and then can only eat plain breadsticks / biscuits / salty crisps type food) and really lightheaded / dizzy on and off as well as constantly tired. I just feel like sitting completely still and quiet all day while being brought salty snacks and water, but sadly I have work to do and DH is away so no one to bring snacks or run around after the toddler for me I am going to try some yoghurt with B6 as I've heard ms can be made worse by B6 deficiency, although the thought of yoghurt is really not appealing right now.

How is everyone else feeling? Has anyone had any actual sickness yet? Any tips for coping at work? I have to go in to the office tomorrow and the toilets are a loooong way from my desk (and I haven't told anyone at work yet and sit right opposite my boss Confused ), I haven't been sick yet but pretty sure it's coming soon so I'm a bit nervous!

WantTo a Christmas Eve scan with your mum sounds brilliant!

JoY007 · 17/11/2014 10:32

GingerbreadHead Same here up at 2-3 then again at 6, which is time I need to be up but finding it hard. I really want to doze off now. I think nature does not want pregnant women to work Grin wish I could have a sneaky Brew, despite being a coffee addict before pregnancy I can't stomach it now Confused

sdyer · 17/11/2014 10:33

Hi all. Got a call from the MW and have an early scan on Wednesday at 9:30. She asked my cycle length and I said 33 days average she said oh so your quite early then!? Does that mean baby will come late? X

JoY007 · 17/11/2014 10:41

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn no actual sickness for me either just the nauseous feeling, and going to the loo. I also have minor cramps and pains only on and off not major or uncomfortable, guess something is happening down there! Very tired also, almost dozing off on my desk. I am like you, I can only stomach salty and spicy at the moment, sweet makes me sick. Good luck with the yoghurt Smile

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 17/11/2014 10:47

Wow that's soon sdyer good luck! When the GP sets your due date they do it using the date of your last period on the basis of a 28 day cycle (so ovulation on about day 14) so if your cycle is longer the due date is likely to move back a bit after you have your scan. With a 33 day cycle you probably didn't ovulate until cycle day 19 or so, but either way the scan should give you a better idea of how far along you are and due date although as it's early it might not be that accurate just yet. That said babies very rarely come on their due date anyway (I think only about 4%? Although my DS did arrive promptly at 8am on his due date) so I try not to pin too much on that date and just think of it in terms of early to mid July.

WantToGoingTo · 17/11/2014 11:05

Know what you mean Fleur I haven't had any cramps today or last night... But i do need the loo a lot and have a dodgy tummy and sore boobs. It's hard to know what is attributable to pregnancy and what is not! Which I had enough tests to do one every day Wink just for reassurance! But haven't tested since 13dpo and won't do any more now. Just 12 weeks seems such a long time to go to find out if everything is ok!

Do you know if the MW listens to heartbeat at 8/9 weeks? I thought I read somewhere it could be heard by 8 weeks but I am not sure if they do this at your appt or of that can only be done vaginally?

sdyer · 17/11/2014 11:38

Thank you mister. My sister said it might be an internal one but that concerns me incase it brings on a mc

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 17/11/2014 11:59

WantTo the midwife probably won't listen for the heartbeat until much later, I think it was at the 16 week appointment last time or maybe even 20. Before that it is possible but very difficult to find so they tend not to try to avoid causing unnecessary stress if they can't find it I think. That's just the UK though, I don't know if they do things differently elsewhere.

headlesschicken247 · 17/11/2014 12:01

The midwife doesn't tend to check for heart beat until about 16 weeks as it an be tricky to find and can cause more stress. Using ultrasound they should be able to catch heart beat early but more reliable using dildocam.

headlesschicken247 · 17/11/2014 12:02

mistersafety snap!

WantToGoingTo · 17/11/2014 12:02

Thanks mister and headless :)

headlesschicken247 · 17/11/2014 12:03

syder no risk of mc from that. Just like having sex. Actually it's not at all but you know what I mean!!! It's just getting the ultrasound closer.

sdyer · 17/11/2014 12:39

Thank you also DH is worried about having sex too

Thepurplegiraffe · 17/11/2014 13:09

I am definitely feeling more sick today, I wasn't sick this morning but came close a couple of times. To top that off somebody jumped under a train on my line this morning which resulted in chaos and a 2 1/2 hr journey into work. 2 people either fainted or nearly did on my part of the train and at 1 point I was worried about joining them. What a lovely start to the week.
Hope everybody is doing ok.

Number3cometome · 17/11/2014 13:25

You do not need to worry about having sex unless you have had miscarrages in the past (and even then it doesn't mean you can't) or unless you currently have spotting.

a lot of people worry needlessly about having sex.

Me and OH have been at it as usual, but he has been like "don't want to squash the baby"seseame seed- haha

There is a really good post about it on here, just google sex when pregnant (there are some hillarious post on there!)

x

Twizzle11 · 17/11/2014 14:12

I was going to ask to join as 7weeks today due date around 6th July but started bleeding yesterday and some to day not heavy but very worried I have my midwife tomorrow so will wait speak to her tomorrow . Already on low dose asperin as 3 previous miscarriages . .

But I am praying can stay on the forum and have a July baby .

Number3cometome · 17/11/2014 14:14

Twizzle11 welcome and stay positive, lets hope it's a sticky bean xxx

broodylicious · 17/11/2014 14:49

I'm going for an early scan ginger. Hopefully on the nhs due to previous mc but if that's not possible, we will pay. There's still a possibility of mc even after checking there's a viable pregnancy and I certainly shan't be relaxing until baby is out at 40 weeks because of friends' misfortunes but I hope it'll give a little reassurance up to the 12 week scan and then I'll maybe have another privately before the anomaly scan at 20 weeks. With my dd, I got an extra one at 34 weeks too as her placenta was previously covering my cervix so would've meant c section.

Overtiredbackagain · 17/11/2014 17:12

Hi all, can I join the July thread?

I am 6 + 5 with my DC3 and an "older" mum at 40.

Due date is 7 July.

Leela5 · 17/11/2014 17:53

Ugggg...proper nauseous now, with really dodgy stomach. This is so glamorous! Grin

Bustherb · 17/11/2014 17:58

I've had a right nightmare of a day, after not sleeping well and getting up late, I spend about 20 mins searching my house for my works pass only to find it in the car, I then have a mini melt down because the printer at work doesn't work properly and my phone crashes. I could have thrown it out of the window there and then. Mixed with nausea all day and hot flushes. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh AngryAngryAngryAngry x
