Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 14th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Lauren - not at all bonkers - I check for bleeding around 73 times a day at the moment and have a feeling that actually getting pregnant is only the first of many hurdles...hope pessimism goes away soon and I can start enjoying it. Oh, and Mr B had a dream that I told him it was a mistake and I wasn't pregnant at all - I had to do another test to reassure him! Am sure yours is just a hormonal blip - totally normal - all will be well. Smile

Ness and Zyla - thanks for the extra nifty info - all very reassuring.

Is it wrong to already be counting 'days since my last glass of wine'? It's gonna be tough...

cookielove · 28/10/2014 16:48

min Sorry to say yes it is true :(

Poor little Azaria died in 1980 when she was taken from the tent she was sleeping in with her brother by a dingo. The dingo's in the area had become increasingly confident leading to this tragedy. Lindy, Azaria's mother was convicted of her murder this was eventually overturned but not before she spent several years in jail as well as giving birth there.

Minion · 28/10/2014 17:39

Ffaaaarrrkkkkk!
Well now I'm a numpty and very happy nobody asked it...
Blimey

laurenamium · 28/10/2014 18:22

Thanks viroids its good to know I'm not totally insane. I keep getting a bit of pain at the end of each day and I swear I didn't have it with DD- but I can't actually remember a lot of my pregnancy with her for some reason. I'm sure it's just stretching pains and from doing too much bending and lifting through work but its got me on edge!

Horses are in tonight for the first time since April.Grin I love when they're all cosy and tucked up!

RPopz · 28/10/2014 18:38

I'm sure it's normal Lauren - I was on crotch watch a bazillion times a day for first 12 weeks... refused to talk about the baby to DH hardly as I was so convinced there'd be nothing there when we went for the scan!! It's just self protection I think. When's your next scan?

laurenamium · 28/10/2014 18:40

I'm 14 weeks now popz and I've had 3 scans. You would think I would be relaxed by now Confused maybe it'll come later! Next scan is beginning of December all being well. They're expecting me to bleed some of this mass out at some point though so ill be surprised if I last that long before they want me in again... (Doom and gloom Wink)

I want sausages!

cookielove · 28/10/2014 19:05

Sorry min didn't want to make you feel bad! I watched a film called 'cry in the dark' years ago and it sparked my interest. I like reading up on lots of random things!

And I had loads of scans, private at 7 and 18 weeks, nhs at 12, 17, 21, 28 and 32, had one booked in for 36 but saw him live.

RPopz · 28/10/2014 19:15

Perhaps you're just a lady who won't be satisfied until baby is in your arms Smile Must admit I've been surprisingly blase since seeing the 12 week scan - apart from a bit of scanxiety a few days before the 20 week one.... One extreme or the other isn't it!!

ZylaB · 28/10/2014 20:08

Anyone herd from pis and how her scan was? Fx all is good pis x

Pisghetti · 28/10/2014 20:59

All was good thanks Zyla! Picture isn't great - can't make much out at all. All the right bits in the right place though! Measurements are a few days behind dates but the sonographer didn't seem worried by that. Baby was initially quite bashful and had ankles crossed. After a cough from me, and a shake from the sonographer, she eventually revealed herself Grin

fattycow · 28/10/2014 21:09

I still cannot really believe that I'm upduffed, but I now have three tests with two stripes on them. And I feel sick all the time... DH is still a bit in denial, I don't think it will be real for him until at least the first scan. Although, if this sickness keeps up, there will probably be loads of throwing up! That should make him realize it's real...
Also, I'm trying to be healthier with my food, but it is hard. I figure that eating things that don't make me feel sicker is better than trying to eat healthy and throw up.

laurenamium · 28/10/2014 21:21

Ah a girl Grin how lovely pis! Congratulations!

Fatty I really tried to eat healthy in the first few weeks...but sickness meant just eating anything I could keep down won! I'm only just now getting to a point where I feel I can put healthy foods before potato waffle sandwiches and babybels. I figured healthy food is no good to me if its not staying down! Don't suffer though your GP can prescribe anti sickness meds and they are MAGIC Grin

Wow cookie that's a lot of scans! Were you high risk? I think ill get a 4D scan later but can't really afford another private one just now- need to be putting money away for maternity pay Confused

I think once this mass has sorted itself I might stop worrying. And if my dreams would go from MC dreams to rude sex dreams that would be good too Grin

DP is being lovely lately, really making a huge effort which is nice! He sat through OBEM USA and don't drop the baby this evening Grin

wilmabedrock · 28/10/2014 21:29

Fatty, I think it's quite often not real for the menfolk until they're holding a screaming baby.

Bother, they do say to keep up with whatever exercise you're used to however if it were me, I would quit the bootcamp. More than anything, because everything in your body relaxes more when pg, you're much more prone to injury.
I know lots of people who have had babies over 40 btw, I don't think you're old Smile

Lauren what kind of pain are you having? Call the midwife for advice?

wilmabedrock · 28/10/2014 21:30

Sorry Pis, missed that. Congratulations on your lovely girl.

RPopz · 28/10/2014 21:41

Ah brill news Pis Smile One of each Wink

I think eating anything is more important than eating healthy in first trim! I pretty much lived on salt and vinegar crisps, breakfast biscuits and 7UP when I had ms.... Fruit physically repulsed me haha!! Midwives say eating ANYTHING is better than eating nothing. The bean will leach everything it needs from you to begin with anyway.... Hmm Plenty of time for healthy eating in second trimester, before you become a slave to cake in the third... Grin Blush

ZylaB · 28/10/2014 22:11

pis so glad everything's good and welcome to team pink :)

fatty just eat what you can or what you fancy at the moment, don't worry over it

fattycow · 28/10/2014 23:04

Thanks ladies.

And Pis, congratulations! Lovely news!

Nessalina · 29/10/2014 00:56

Yay Pis, fab news! Smile Awwww!

Wow Lauren - sitting thru baby programs really is impressive! 20 man points! Grin

I agree, eating healthy is easier said than done. I figure what I want is probably what I need, our bodies are pretty cool like that. I'm currently addicted to bagels with butter AND peanut butter - calorietastic but sooo good! Grin

In other news I had salmon for tea (actually went out in to the world to meet a friend for dinner!) and now I am burping fish taste Confused

My belly is twingey today Shock I spent about 3hours sat on the birthing ball playing WoW so hopefully that's encouraging things along.... 39 weeks today!

ChatEnOeuf · 29/10/2014 07:05

Ah Pis glad everything is looking good for her!

I agree, eating is more important than healthy eating. I lived on mini cheddars last time around.

Ness fx it's all getting ready to go Smile

cookielove · 29/10/2014 07:15

lauren due to a previous mmc, i paid to go private at 7 weeks and for my fathers birthday I got him a scan cause he really wanted see it, because of a genetic condition and my refusal to have an amnio I had the extra scan booked in for 16 weeks although had it at 17. Our 20 was then at 21 as a result.

Due to gestational diabetes I had all the other scans!

cookielove · 29/10/2014 07:16

Oh wait I think one was for lack of new movement at 28 weeks

laurenamium · 29/10/2014 07:20

Oh fx ness that its soon! Grin

Wil it's more stretching pains/ the odd sharp or shooting pain either in my groin or across my stomach rather than period like pains, or sometimes it's just a dull ache if I've been really busy all day with lots of bending and lifting. I thought this was normal?

laurenamium · 29/10/2014 07:21

Cross posted cookie! I do love a good scan Grin did you get photos from them all too?

TheBooMonster · 29/10/2014 07:40

pis squee and congratulations on finding out what you're having, now you can go and buy all manner of pink and frilly things!

fatty I think secretly my husband is still in denial, and DD is almost 2 apart from during the small period of time in the morning between DD waking up and him leaving, as I have taken to stubbornly sleeping until he announces he's off to work :p

I am up and dressed at what is an ungodly hour for a weekday, the new washing machine comes this morning so I can finally put DD back in cloth and hopefully deal with the fact her entire nappy region has been an angry red colour for the past fortnight >.<

Also, I've made it an entire day without having to take the antivomit tablets!

fattycow · 29/10/2014 08:13

Boo, nice to read that you are a cloth mum. I am planning on that as well, but first I need to decide on which system to go for. Cloth nappies are expensive, so I know what I'm asking for my baby shower and baby gifts. Wink
