Hi sorry haven't had time to come on here but will have a catch up on the thread.
Baby teddy (Theodore Kenneth) was born on 22/10/2014 at 7.20
It was a pretty traumatic week in hospital that ended up quite scary. I was in labour for a long time with the drip too days to get to 5cm but 2 hours to get from 5 to pushing him out! The placenta then wouldn't come out and I lost a lot of blood ended up having to be rushed to theatre to remove placenta and had a blood transfusion. Surprisingly I am feeling amazing now even if a bit beaten up. We are all home and just loving life with my boys.
Breast feeding is going well but so tired after everything I don't know how ill keep awake tonight- will probably be coming on here to see what I have missed with my epic long stay in hospital

haventgotaclue1 · 25/10/2014 19:00

Congratulations Maths Grin - really glad to hear you're all doing fine now after what sounds like a very traumatic few days

weeonion · 25/10/2014 19:45

Hormones seemed to have calmed down now, thank goodness Blush
Congratulations maths

Strawberryfield12 · 25/10/2014 22:24

Congratulations maths!

haventgot it is on an embarrassing side - garden centre near us sell really good quality brasils in dark chocolate, so we drove there just to stock up on them. Shop assistant must have thought we are a pair of geeks, buying piles of sweets instead of plants and compost.... Anyway, we have spent a fortune on them, but I have now some for hospital bag and the time before we arrive there. Grin

Definitely suprised baby is still in there but im not getting frustrated yet.

Getting lots lots more discharge and what seems like mucus plug coming away most of the day. Usually after a spout of pain or movement from baby. It can come anyday but Thursday Grin

weeonion · 26/10/2014 06:52

Morning lovelies!

You all enjoy that extra hour in bed?

Chocolate Brazil nuts look sooooooo good, v tempted!

DD away on,sleepover, DP just left for and trying to work out plans for today...hmmmmm

Thehedgehogsong · 26/10/2014 06:57

Weeonion my DD still got up at her usual time this am :( but I can't sleep anyway so I might as well be up! We are under a blanket on the sofa watching aristocats eating chocolate spread on toast.
My poor husband is eating cereal and I can't stand the noise he is making. I've already asked him why is he standing like that, he was just waiting for the toaster to pop, but it annoyed me how he was standing. Hormones are out of control!

WinterLover · 26/10/2014 06:57

Ha extra hour in bed! DS was up at his normal time so I get an extra hour in the day lol

happypotamus · 26/10/2014 07:13

Ha, you can tell all of us who already have children and have not been able to appreciate the extra hour in bed. We put DD to bed slightly later last night so she woke up at about 6.30am (7.30am would be on the early side for her on a normal day). To be fair, I was awake anyway, as I can't sleep well anymore. DH has taken to staying up until 3am trying to meet a work deadline so he has gone back to bed, and, yes Winterlover, I get an extra hour of keeping DD quiet and distracting her from waking him up.

Congratulations Maths on your new baby!

weeonion · 26/10/2014 07:24

Aaaaah - remember pre- kiddy days when clocks going back meant that ever so impt extra hour. When DD arrived - I dreaded it as it inevitably affected her routine day.

Hedgehog - like the sound of yr plans... Choc spread toast with Disney....

Totally get hormones all over the show... Things that normally dont bother / bug me get disproportionate reaction at the mo'. When car broke down yesterday - I found myself sobbing to v nice lady at Sheila's Wheels insurance. She sympathized with woes, which made me worse. Did mean I had a recovery breakdown vehicle with me in 25 minutes. The poor guy was panicked I was going into labour ....Grin

Winter - I think you are coping so so well. Yr "latent" phase has been going on for ages so well done you.

Ooh , meant to see how petal is? How did your house end up after builders went? Are they all done or back again tomorrow??

Strawberryfield12 · 26/10/2014 07:27

Thanks amy!

MrsY87 · 26/10/2014 07:27

Congratulations maths!! Sounds like you had a tough time but glad to hear all is well. Love the name!

ladydolly · 26/10/2014 07:46

Congratulations maths!!! Love the name too.

Welcome fruitbat!

Terrible nights sleep, after almost developing ocd trying to avoid germs I've caught a cold at the last hurdle :( feeling very sorry for myself.

I've done all my Xmas shopping bar one gift but to be honest I would have done it all by now anyway. I haven't been but heard sainsbury's have a big toy sale for those with DC's.

Dp out putting isofix bases in the cars today. I'm going for a bikini wax. All last minute prep for baby arrival!

Kantha · 26/10/2014 08:09

Congratulations Maths. Glad you both came through it and are out the other side. Do take it easy now.

I have been 'making the most' of the clock change by getting the boys to start the Christmas cake. We now have a big bowl of fruit being steeped in cherry brandy Grin. When mine were smaller they were early risers anyway. One year DS1 managed to stay on BST waking hours until Christmas. It was not good.

I am feeling a bit 'latent' this morning IYSWIM. Backache and constant cramping. DH has just got up so I am back to bed to see if I can ignore it and get some more sleep.

moggle · 26/10/2014 08:51

Congratulations Maths! Such a cute name. Teddy would be on our list but a close friend recently had a Ted (Edward) so decided not to.

I have enjoyed my extra hour in bed (sorry those with kids already!) and can't believe it'll be the last one for a good few years :-D after so long waiting I can't believe we're nearly going to meet our little baby. We're both so excited :-)

weeonion · 26/10/2014 09:13

Oooh kantha. Wonder if this is the beginning of it for you!!!!

ImBrian · 26/10/2014 09:32

Just popping on to see how everyone's getting on. I put my head in on a few of the earlier threads.

Congratulations on babies so far, hopefully a few more soon. I'm not due till the 26th so ages away plus I'm working till 4 days before which I'm starting to regret a bit!

Has anyone's transverse / breech babies sorted themselves out yet? Mine changes position at least once a day (friend is a midwife and has been checking out position) but mostly is transverse or oblique. Still time to change as not 36 weeks till Wednesday I suppose.

Thehedgehogsong · 26/10/2014 09:42

Hi ImBrian! I remember you :) my baby moves a lot too, oblique is the favourite! I'm not 36 weeks until Thursday so I'm not worried, second baby here.
