I'm sure weeonion has gone by now!

Not a sausage here....though baby went absolutely apeshit at the cinema last night. It must have been all that Dolby surround sound!

CazY777 · 06/11/2014 11:23

Morning all. I've been having those stabbing pains and hoping it's something significant. Had backache and pains kept coming and going last night so thought something was happening but had a paracetamol and then felt ok. I do feel irritable and premenstrual like so hoping it means something is going to happen soon!

Thisisimpossible · 06/11/2014 11:51

Contractiony things again. Trying not to get too excited. In hairdressers so hoping if it is it that things don't speed up too quickly! Probably just another false alarm.

Annarose2014 · 06/11/2014 12:22

Well if it does kick off at least you'll have fabulous hair!

Unexpectedly lost a ton of plug today. I had thought I lost it all on Tues but apparently not! God, its a messy business already.....and I haven't even got to the main event!

Thisisimpossible · 06/11/2014 12:27

Exactly Anna!

No plug loss here, despite 3 trips to the loo so far and checking every time Grin so I expect just BH again.

Yours sounds promising, if messy Smile

Petal26 · 06/11/2014 13:16

Really achy boobs today, very sensitive, whatever that maybe a sign of?! :-)
Been to feed the ducks and walked around a lake, going to try and convince DD we need a nap now. ..

Thehedgehogsong · 06/11/2014 13:21

Oooh hope things get moving for you Anna and Thisis!

I'm 37 weeks today horray! Even more exciting, I slept through the night from 11pm to 7:30am without the slightest peep! Felt great when I woke up Grin

excitedforbaba · 06/11/2014 13:29

I'm so jealous of all these signs! Religiously checking for a show at every toilet visit! Even my BH have stopped which makes me think it's never going to happen! Confused I no I still have a few days to due date but everyone had me convinced I'd be early!

Is anyone else absolutely starving these days? I can not be filled at all!

Sazhoopz · 06/11/2014 13:46

Disappointing mw visit, said that was best for me to still use the hospital birth centre rather than MLU, but did say there wasnt much difference. Baby is only 1/5ths engaged but 2nd baby so he could drop at anytime. Have got a sweep booked in next Friday at 40+5 & an induction the Friday after, fingers crossed I won't get that far but it is nice to have the end in sight!

amy83firsttimer · 06/11/2014 13:52

Had 40 week appt, 3/5th engaged which is new so happy with that - sweep booked for a week today when I'll be 40+3.

DH is off today so we're having a day of old wife's tales, so far we've walked to and from midwife, had spicy lunch and pineapple. The afternoon is dog walk and shag, evening is curry and sad film. Smile

Hello Ladies,

Sadly, nothing to report from this end. Lots of stabbing pains last night which made me think 'at last'. But nothing, no plug, no contractions -nothing! I had a moment where I thought my waters might have gone last night. Had a middle of the night trip to the loo and some liquid came out without any effort from me sorry for the TMI. There hasn't been a repeat so probably just pressure forcing it out.

39 weeks today and thoroughly fed up, irritable, tired [insert any adjective you want here] Hmm

Hopefully things happen for you soon Anna

ToniWol · 06/11/2014 15:27

40 wk appointment for me today as well. Turns out they don't offer sweeps here until 40+7 so have had to be booked in at an alternative clinic for next Friday. Am 3/5 as well, but apparently that's the lowest baby can go until labour starts.

Been for a walk as well. Getting twinges but I suspect the walk is why.

DrBlondie · 06/11/2014 15:45

Excited- yes, I've been an absolute glutton these last few days! I expected to not be able to eat much at this point in pregnancy cause of stomach being squished but totally not a problem. Also, still have a bit of an angel delight habit... Bless him, dh says it's all good cause I'm storing up some energy for the mega workout that is labour.

Will keep fingers crossed that the full moon/curries/etc do the trick for those of you keen to get this show on the road.

TwigletFiend · 06/11/2014 15:53

Joining in the moan! 38 week appointment today, also 3/5s engaged but no signs at all. No show, no cramps, not even a hint that plug is breaking apart even. Argh! Tried to describe the fanjo pain to DP yesterday and decided to go with 'a bit like the day after you've been kicked in the balls'. He has been very sympathetic and helpful since!! Grin

haventgotaclue1 · 06/11/2014 15:53

That's interesting ToniWol - just come back from 38 wk appt (am now 38+2) and when I asked MW if bean was engaged now (at 36 wk appt was 2/5 palpable) she said its head was so far down all she could feel were its shoulders and that the only thing getting it out of that position now would be contractions!!!! Eeeekkkkk!!! Trying not to get too excited but not doing a very good job Grin

I've booked in a "normal" antenatal appointment at 40 weeks (when I'll be 40+2) and a sweep at 41 weeks....am REALLY hoping it doesn't come to that!

haventgotaclue1 · 06/11/2014 15:55

Ha ha Twiglet - must use that description with my DH Grin

excitedforbaba · 06/11/2014 16:05

Oooh Toniwol we can be on sweep watch together next weekend! I have mine booked in for Fri morning also! Although I will be only 39+6 so trying not to get my hopes up that it will start something!

Twiglet I love this description for the pains! I'm hoping I get some tonight when DP is home just so I can casually announce it feels like "the day after you get a kick in the balls" also wondering could I film his facial expression! Haha

Dr Blondie iv just ate 2 huge bowls of soup there and now I'm going to make a packet of banana angang delight as a wee treatment for later when the tummy rumbling starts...again!!

pinkgirlythoughts · 06/11/2014 16:07

Just woken up from a 2-hour nap and now I feel rubbish- I could easily have another hour, but have to get up as FIL is very kindly bringing DS home from nursery for me in about 20 mins. Stomach hurts, back hurts, everything hurts, overall feeling very sorry for myself at the minute!

Hopeful83 · 06/11/2014 16:08

Hope these sweeps work for us all. I had my first one today at 40+2. Have had bad period pains ever since. Had a show and lost my mucus plug yesterday but more smaller bits coming out today since the sweep. She said my cervix was thin, 1cm dilated and 3/5 engaged. Could be any time but also have another sweep booked for next Tues and then it'll be induction at 41+5 if not. Come on baby!

Thehedgehogsong · 06/11/2014 16:44

I thought I'd give nipple stimulation a go as I'm 37 weeks now, and my lord, the contractions are every 3 minutes lasting a minute! Nothing too painful and I'm sure it will die down, it's a bit of a shock! I figured nothing would happen as I still have a few weeks to go!

ladydolly · 06/11/2014 16:50

Eeek it's really happening for everyone isn't it???!!!

40 weeks today, just saw Mw, as I suspected had not engaged still but apparently her arm is up above her head (which explains some odd feelings I get in my hip). I'm happy for her to stay in there a bit longer, I'm still loving mat leave and all the time to myself, I feel great, MW even commented how calm I seem. Of course I'm done with work and no dc's to look after so have it very easy! I'm definitely making the most of our ridiculously expensive sky package at the moment.

Also it was a lot of fun at the pool today when people asked when I was due, the look of horror when I said 'today!'.

Really hoping these signs come to fruition for you ladies, especially those feeling uncomfortable or fed up, not long now, keep your peckers up.

Just had a little cry looking at our first scan pictures, remembered how excited we were and dp grabbing my hand when we saw that tiny heart beating. Aaaahhhh the hormones are in full force today, making me all emosh!

Annarose2014 · 06/11/2014 17:31

Oooh Hopeful best of luck! Sounds good!

catg83 · 06/11/2014 17:40

Starving here. Not a lot of room so endless snacking seems to work. No signs or news. Off out for dinner with friends so should take my mind off organising the house for a while.

So lovely to hop on here and read everybody's news. xxx

OhMjh · 06/11/2014 18:40

Ugh, as if being uncomfortable wasn't enough, I'm having to go up to the hospital because they think I have a urine infection/kidney infection. I haven't been able to wee all day, despite feeling like I'm bursting..but I'm baffled as to how I'm supposed to give them a urine sample when nothing but a poor excuse for a dribble comes out. Blush

OhMjh · 06/11/2014 19:08

Although it has occurred to me that I thought I was leaking wee for the past couple of days and it might have been fluid..eek.
