Greenstone · 02/11/2014 21:09

Ooh kantha a girl! Wowee and what a size! Thanks

Thisisimpossible · 02/11/2014 21:24

Congratulations Kantha on your (not so) little bundle! Fantastic news! xx

DrBlondie · 02/11/2014 21:35

Congratulations crazies and crazy and Kantha! Very exciting!

I've got 3 weeks till due date and each day is getting a bit more uncomfortable and harder... whinge, whine! On the plus side, I'm cheerfully indulging my craving for angel delight cause the milk is a good calcium source for baby!

Thank-you to everyone for advice about waters breaking. I've got myself some puppy training pads and might break those out sooner but leave off the pads for a couple more weeks.

catg83 · 02/11/2014 21:38

Well done Kantha and Crazy. Brilliant news. Such loveliness to hear about new babies.

Nothing happening here. No BH, no cramps, no show. Hmmmmm. We have an awful lot to do so maybe he knows and is staying put until we are a bit more ready.

Packed my hospital bag so partly ready. Just need to do babies and OH needs to get his ready.

Petal26 · 02/11/2014 21:43

Congratulations kantha Smile

ladydolly · 02/11/2014 21:46

Well done kantha! Great news.

More BH here, even while swimming, seems too happen when I'm being more active so perhaps a long walk is in order soon...

Annarose2014 · 02/11/2014 21:53

Thanks about the earplugs petal

So delighted for you Kantha! A little girl, just for the novelty! Grin

I can't believe we've three new babies in a couple of pages!

And here I am, 40+2 tomorrow, trying to be all chilled out and failing miserably! Everyone is passing me out!

Thehedgehogsong · 02/11/2014 22:05

Wow well done Kantha congratulations!!

CazY777 · 02/11/2014 22:10

Great to hear about all the new arrivals, well done and congratulations everyone Smile

WorkFreeWannabe · 02/11/2014 22:31

Congratulations Kantha!!! Thanks

Just been fobbed off by delivery suite. Had a headache most of the afternoon which hasn't shifted after a nap and water. Checked my own BP 3 times which I monitor myself due to my medical history, and it's consistently high, over 150.

Called up to be told I should take 2 paracetamol and see how I feel in an hour. Even got questioned as to why I'm checking my own blood pressure Sad

I'm going to check it again shortly and if it's still high I'll go in. Let them try and turn me away.

DrBlondie · 02/11/2014 22:59

Hope you're ok WorkFreeWannabe. Don't let them fob you off if you know you're not right. I had one idiot midwife tell me off for checking my ketones during my hyperemesis because 'i might worry myself'. So I'll just remain in ignorance, till my vomiting gets bad again shall I? Stupid woman.

weeonion · 02/11/2014 23:03

Yeahhhhhh kantha!!!! Fab news!

excitedforbaba · 02/11/2014 23:10

Congratulations Kantha Crazy and Crazies! So exciting coming on and seeing new babies have arrived!!

Had a visit to hospital last night too lots of tightening pains, preassure and terrible crampy pains! Absolutely agony! They done a test to see had my waters started to leak but they haven't and basically that was it home to a bath and paracetamol!

If that's just the pains from getting ready I think I'm terrified of labour Shock

Workfree hope your ok, be persistent with them!

Dr Blondie what flavour Angel delight? I have a banana one in the cupboard I can't stop thinking about since reading your post!

amy83firsttimer · 02/11/2014 23:36

workfree I'd just go in if I were you - better now than at an even more ungodly hour and they can't ignore you if you right there in front of them.

Just got back from the hospital and got the all clear. BP was still a bit high but nothing significant. Given some blood pressure tablets and sent on my way.

Baby was way too happy and insisted on giving the midwife a taste of his acrobatic and dancing skills. So much that the monitor was finding it difficult to trace the heartbeat, so I had to stay in a little longer.

Feel quite relieved now. Hopefully there aren't anymore false alarms.

amy83firsttimer · 03/11/2014 03:47

workfree I'm glad you went in. They.must have been a bit worried about BP to prescribe you the pills.
I wonder if we'll see any overnight babies???

Has a postnatal thread started does anyone know?

Strawberryfield12 · 03/11/2014 07:46

Congratulations Crazy, Crazies and Kantha! Flowers

pinkgirlythoughts · 03/11/2014 07:57

Ooh, congratulations Crazies, Crazy and Kantha!

DrBlondie · 03/11/2014 08:10

Glad you're ok WorkFreeWannabe. Hope the pills do the trick.

Excitedforbaba- butterscotch or, more recently, strawberry. I was getting through a pack a day last week but have had to cut back to half a pack a day cause otherwise I feel sick!

Second being terrified of labour too - thank goodness for modern medicine and lovely pain-killing drugs!

ToniWol · 03/11/2014 08:40

Congratulations to Crazy, Crazies and Kantha.

Glad all is okay workfree.

The nursery is officially finished. The blind and the curtains are up and we've bought the extra sheets for the cot bed.

My body is delighting in annoying me at the moment. Am getting strongish BH on a night but they've disappeared by the morning. Two bonfire parties planned though so will have to see if that will make baby move.

Hope everyone else is still okay.

Sazhoopz · 03/11/2014 09:08

Another one de-lurking here! Congrats to all for the new babies, it helps to know the end is in sight.

Am 39+1 today & after a rough night with Ds (2.5) I'm currently lying on the sofa with the iPad entertaining him and feeling like a bad parent but also enjoying the quiet it's brought!

Have had no signs of labour being imminent, but DS was 10 says late so not expecting anything to happen for a while
