Morning ladies!

Kantha, thinking of you!!

No real signs for me other than some cramping at the moment. Think it's baby position related rather than labour relayed though! Still two weeks to EDD so not hopeful of any excitement for a while yet.

Less sore in the fanjo department today, but now have a horrible discomfort in my right buttock and leg - like that feeling you get just before your leg goes to sleep, like there's not enough blood in it. Argh! Having cleaned my entire house yesterday, am luckily planning on doing sod all today Grin

Hope everyone else had a peaceful night!

utopian99 · 02/11/2014 11:15

How's language? Congratulations to greenerone and anyone else I missed on the last couple of days of babies!

Went to a friend's wedding yesterday and I drove home so DH could drink. Neither of us expecting an arrival for weeks as I'm only 37+ and ds was so late, but for crippling bh on the way home so bad I almost had to stop driving. I've never seen DH sober up so fast!

utopian99 · 02/11/2014 11:17

Damn stupid courtesy phone. Meant how's kantha?

CraziesTogether · 02/11/2014 13:42

Hello ladies, hope you are all staying positive and looking forward to babies arriving :) not long to go now!

My beautiful pink DD made her appearance on Friday, a day early! She took myself and DH by surprise and I'm still completely love drunk.

The birth was very straightforward and a really awesome experience. Midwives and care we received was exceptional so my only advice to you all is to enjoy the rest and sleep while You can ;) and take ear plugs and and eye mask to the hospital! X

ladydolly · 02/11/2014 14:02

Yayyy crazies congratulations!!! So glad you had a good experience, really lovely to hear. ?

Are you home? Does crazies jnr have a name?

GiantHulkHands · 02/11/2014 14:15

Congratulations Crazies, so glad everything went well.

catg83 · 02/11/2014 14:16

Congrats Crazie! Glad it was such a positive experience for you. This thread is really hotting up!

Just been to a friends house to pick up the buggy we are borrowing from them, a Zoom from Mamas and Papas, and they had 3 boxes of toys and clothes for us. Along with a bath sling and a steriliser. Amazing!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 02/11/2014 14:18

Congratulations crazies.

Sent husband to collect a changing unit from eBay and he went to address given 15mins in one direction from our house on an industrial estate n rang them oh that's there businesses address they gave me for Mon -fri home address was 25-30mins from home the other way so what should have been a pop out for half hr for husband has been an hr n half so far as was waiting for them to then text address - ahhh anyway he has got it so that's sorted. He said the man blamed his eastern European wife whose English isn't great. Annoyingly prob wouldn't have brought it due to distance never mind.

Ds is having a cutting gluing n drawing frenzy seems to be amusing him.

blamber · 02/11/2014 14:21

Crazies, congratulations! I'm so glad labour was such a positive experience and it makes me feel less nervous about it too.

Hope kantha is doing well.

I'm almost 38 weeks now so I'm guessing it could happen any day. Baby is engaged and in a good position. I woke up a couple of times during the night with period like pain that stuck around for ages, so I guess that's just my body getting ready. When I told my boyfriend this morning I saw the panic on his face, so I quickly had to add that I wasn't in labour!

Petal26 · 02/11/2014 14:37

Congrats crazies Smile

Got some serious aches and pains at fireworks display last night, don't know if he was reacting to the bangs but I had a bit of a panic in the middle of a field!
Think it was drblondie talking about waters going... mine didn't go last time, had 3 different people at hospital poking around and making me bleed trying to locate them, so they don't always 'gush'. I have just put a maternity bed mat on my side of the bed under the sheet just in case this time.
On a sort of non baby note.. Filling out an RSVP for a friend's wedding that we were looking forward to and noticed it says no children, boo. One of the hazards of parenthood i suppose, as it's in March we'll have to decline as I'll still be feeding (hopefully).

Petal26 · 02/11/2014 14:38

Oh and 39 weeks today, come on baby, I can't wait another 3 weeks like last time!

WorkFreeWannabe · 02/11/2014 16:08

Congratulations Crazies!!

Hopefully Kantha is doing alright?

Been frantically symptom watching all day. Lots of strong cramps which keep making me think I'll find a bit of plug or my waters will go at any point.

Greenstone · 02/11/2014 16:29

Congratulations crazies! Delighted to hear that all went wellSmile

Annarose2014 · 02/11/2014 16:35

Congrats Crazies! How lovely!

Interesting about earplugs - I am utterly dependant on them for sleep (would wake at a mouses fart) so I've been really worried about managing without them once baby is here. Basically I think between DH's heavy breathing/snorting and listening out for baby I suspect I simply will not sleep AT ALL.

But I'm afraid with earplugs I would sleep through baby waking. Especially if you have to wake every 2/3 hrs at first to feed. How the hell do you just wake up automatically to feed it that often by the way?? The MWs are always banging on about "crying being a later sign of hunger" i.e. Good Mothers Feed Before Baby needs to Cry. Hmm

But they never explain what happens at night when you need to sleep! Realistically do you just wait for a cry? Can you even hear a cry through earplugs?

Crazybit · 02/11/2014 16:52

Hi everyone
Ds2 was born at 5.09am on 1.11.14 weighing 7lb 5oz. 2 weeks early after having a pessary to induce me on Halloween..but then i had to have it removed as it was over stimulating me and i was in too much pain. I continued contracting however and he was born with 20 minutes of pushing star gazing. Was actually a lovely birth as i needed forceps with the last 2. Midwife was lovely bit tge ward was very understaffed .
Having horrible afterpains but feeding going ok..hoping the sore nips are jist going to settle rather than a prob with positioning.

Well done to all the arrivals I've missed :)

Thehedgehogsong · 02/11/2014 17:39

Congratulations crazies and crazy! Two more babies :D

I'm going to be last and left here alone aren't I. I am so uncomfortable and having contractions all the time, now with added shooting pains and lots of trips to the loo. I think everyone is getting sick of me too! I just wanna lay down and be comfortable!

WorkFreeWannabe · 02/11/2014 17:59

Yay! Crazy - first official November baby!! Grin
Glad it all went well

GiantHulkHands · 02/11/2014 18:24

And congrats Crazybit! I'm glad no forceps were required this time. Enjoy your lovely new baby.

ladydolly · 02/11/2014 19:22

More congrats crazy bit!!! Another lovely birth, so happy for you!!

weeonion · 02/11/2014 19:41

Yeahhhhh crazy - congrats to you!!

Petal26 · 02/11/2014 19:58

Congratulations crazy Smile

Anna I have packed earplugs for the hospital in case I have to stay on a ward, hoping for a quick discharge!
Last time I got given a private room as had a difficult birth, and the midwife informed me that she would be waking me every 2 hours to feed baby during the night. I'm sure you will hear baby crying if they are right next to you in your bedroom...
I never set an alarm or anything like that, if it becomes an issue that baby is sleeping for too long then you might need to but I'm sure you will get woken up Wink And I wouldn't worry about 'feeding baby before they cry' , maybe in an ideal world where you can sit and stare at them all day long looking for other signs of hunger!

haventgotaclue1 · 02/11/2014 20:09

Very many congratulations Crazies and Crazybit great news for you both! Hope you're both doing well and enjoying your new babies Grin

Absolutely zero happening here.........

Thisisimpossible · 02/11/2014 20:20

Congratulations Crazies and Crazy! Fab news!

Do hope Kantha's ok.

No more movement here. Hedgehog, it would only take me to be 10 days late and you a week early and I'll be one of the last! Don't fret, we won't abandon you Smile

Thehedgehogsong · 02/11/2014 20:29

Ah thanks thisisimpossible I would just follow you guys over to the post natal board and moan there Grin

Kantha · 02/11/2014 21:07

Hello! Here I am! Thanks for all your best wishes. I have only just got around to reading them. You're so lovely.

I have a daughter! She was born this morning, 2 Nov at 10.42 weighing a whopping 9lb 11oz! A natural delivery and a bit of an eye watering one at that.

Anyway, she is gorgeous and I am in shock that she is a girl. I was fully expecting a DS3. No name yet. We've had 6.5 years since DS1 was born to think of our favourite girls' name, yet here we are!

Should be home tomorrow. We are both doing well.Smile

Congratulations crazies.
