Can I join please ladies! I am 37, first baby, due 31 July.

For the poster that was asking about Harmony test, I had this. It was very reassuring to get the low risk result (1/10,000) but they also worked it out the NHS way and it was something like 1/3600 so would have been low anyway. The two week result wait was a killer too!

I had it at the fetal medical centre along with viability and 12 week scan and both times the scan and sonographers were amazing. Well worth it and am going to fork out for 20w scan there too.

X

Thanks for the stats list Stubborn - I see that I'm the oldest (I'll be 44 when I deliver all being well) yikes!

Thanks for the Harmony info Miss Twister - I'm definitely going to have it.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm battling with my 14 year old who isn't eating very well ATM - could do with a glass of wine!

Aah mustbemad, you're the oldest on the stats list so far, but not necessarily the oldest on the thread Grin.

Oh dear I am knackered; after a few months of not much work coming in, the last few days I've been working my bum off- redoing all the menu boards in 2 restaurants, spending hours twisted at funny angles in front of the general public, trying to get it done as fast as I can....It's great to have the work, but blimey, this one's a bugger of a job even when you're not pregnant! At least they've graciously agreed to remove all the high up ones and bring them down to ground level for me, as I really don't fancy climbing 15 feet up precarious ladders right now.

All this and DS's birthday do on Sunday- not quite a party, but we're going down the woods to build dens and light a fire, as my house is just sooo tiny I couldn't have a bunch of hyper kids back here....mmm-hmm, just what I feel like doing Hmm.

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/01/2015 20:51

Fab stats update stubborn I hope the weather is reasonable for you Sunday.

I finally feel like the nausea and tiredness are lifting. Its been quite gradual so difficult to tell straight away but much better this week I think.

Getting a bit of a pot belly by the end of the day now too. But looks flat ish in the mornings (apart from a slight podge which is nothing to do with pregnancy) Looking forward to a proper bump!!

Hope your buttock is ok Lola sounds painful.

Well, its now common knowledge at work so getting used to talking about pregnancy. And have a day off Monday with a day out to look at baby stuff with a friend. Can't wait!

MrsSmithChips · 29/01/2015 21:55

Can I be added to the list please?

41, second baby (1st is 15!!!!) EDD 29th August

Thanks

stubbornstains · 29/01/2015 21:59

Do you get freaked out by people you're not particularly close to talking about it? I work on my own (well, normally- all the hipster youth at this restaurant haven't said a word- either they're terrified of saying something and me just being fat- or, more likely, breeding just isn't on their radar), but I'm finding random mums and staff at the school all commenting on the bump a tad uncomfortable Hmm.

mustbemad71 · 29/01/2015 23:01

Thanks for the stats Stubborn Grin

What about when randomers start touching the bump ..... I couldn't stand that last time! Get off me!!!! Shock

mustbemad71 · 30/01/2015 08:17

Spotting bright red blood this morning so not looking hopeful. Hmm

MrsSmithChips · 30/01/2015 11:21

Mustbemad71 sorry to hear that, fingers crossed all ok. How many weeks at you?

MrsSmithChips · 30/01/2015 11:22

*are

Sparrowlegs248 · 30/01/2015 12:39

Yes stubborn I am finding it most odd. I work for the local authority, LOTS of women. I just want to shout 'stop bloody touching me!!' Don't have a bump yet but arm stroking!!! Feck off!

FX for you mustbema

Meeting the parents for lunch in a bit, mother has been in mothercare......

mustbemad71 · 30/01/2015 13:27

Thanks girls. Very early days - only 4 weeks 4 days. Saw the GP, she said it is really common and not to worry. It could be IB or breakthrough bleeding. She's sending me for a scan at the EPAU week after next. It seems to have eased - nothing on a pad at all just when I wipe. Now obsessively knicker-checking every 15 mins! Urgh. Had an early miscarriage years ago so at least I know what to expect if it does happen.

Enjoy your lunch notta. Grin

Lolababy00 · 30/01/2015 15:14

Hi mustbemad I had a slight bleed about 4 weeks ago after sex (sorry if TMI) had scan at 6 weeks and everything was fine, so fingers crossed for you xx
notta slightly bruised !! Oh and getting pot belly look in evening too

45Monty · 30/01/2015 15:22

stubborn seeing the stats list.... Now I feel old... 45, 46 when baby arrives.

mustbemad71 · 31/01/2015 08:11

Hi girls I've had more bleeding and lost my symptoms so think that's it. Please can you remove me from the stats list? Don't feel too bad - at least I can still get upduffed and it was very early! Best of luck to you all over the next 8 months! GrinGrinGrin

Tilly1969 · 31/01/2015 08:37

Really sorry to hear your news mustbemad, fingers crossed you'll be on here again soon. A lot of people seem to have had bleeding so you never know.

45monty me too, 46 when I deliver. I'm having an early scan at the EPU next Tuesday. Trying not to think about it too much till then.

Lolababy00 · 31/01/2015 10:53

Really sorry to hear your news mustbe but like Tilly said you never know

sebsmummy1 · 31/01/2015 14:07

Sorry to hear your news mustbemad Sad

Just to update that I had an early scan today at 9w and everything is perfect. I am over the moon and cried Grin

BingoBonkers · 31/01/2015 14:18

Hey Cluckers, how is everyone? I've been MIA a bit. I'm as big as a house, very tired, very emotional, quite cross at times and still 19 weeks to go. I want to be blooming and feeling care free and enjoying being updiffed. Everything is a struggle. Am so tired emotionally as well as physically. Need to get my act together.

Lolababy00 · 31/01/2015 14:36

sebsmummy that's great news.
bingofelt the same with my last pregnancy ... I think the only blooming I felt was blooming awful.. Hope you feel better soon.

stubbornstains · 31/01/2015 16:26

I'm really sorry to hear that mustbemad.....although, like others have said, am kind of hoping against hope that things aren't what they seem.

sebs I was wondering about you just today...that's great! You've been so worried...glad you got this reassurance Smile.

Oh bingo, I feel just the same. So, so exhausted. It's like being stuck in 2nd gear. Trying to get things ready for DS's little party tomorrow, and even tidying up the house seems like an insurmountable mountain...When I think of how I am when not pregnant, even if I was tired I would be able to draw on reserves of energy that just aren't there at the moment...Sad. It's horrible; it's a (mercifully short) peek into the life of someone who suffers from chronic depression, or has some kind of fatigue- related illness.

You have kids as well, don't you? The first pregnancy is sooooo much easier- I've spent all day snapping at DS because I just don't have the energy to deal with him Sad. Sometimes I despair and am terrified about how I will cope with 2 on my own when the baby arrives; but then I remember that last time, at any rate, I had a huge surge of energy when DS was tiny- I converted my own camper van when DS was 2-3 months! I pray it will be the same this time, when I'll have the school run to deal with as well!

sebsmummy1 · 31/01/2015 16:32

Thanks stubborn and Lola. I have a scan pic!! I can start looking at blankets and prams and stuff. I'm so EXCITED!!!! Grin

BingoBonkers · 31/01/2015 16:41

Congrats seb lovely!

mad I am truly sorry.

stubborn yes I have a 4yo and a 2.5yo already. I think half my problem is being a SAHM. I don't get any respite and I am not a natural either. Have spent most of today feeling pig sick and paranoid that I've not felt the baby move as much as have had movement since 14weeks. Still feel very pregnant and achy in my tum/lower abdomen so probably s/he having a quieter day besides nothing drs will do before 24weeks anyway. I felt movement this morning and that was a minor flicker and nothing since. Like I say am paranoid. This is what I hate about pregnancy. Plus all the other worries that go with it.

stubbornstains · 31/01/2015 16:53

I was feeling just the same about movement just now- "Ooh, have I felt much today?" and then I got some kicks, so that was OK Smile.

They say that there's no point in worrying before 24 weeks because the baby might not have got into a pattern yet.
