HEXY, Not finding I'm feeling sick at moment but with previous pregnancies I've either sucked sweets or chewed gum to take that sicky feeling in your mouth away, if you know what I mean !Also had a couple of biscuits by bed for in the morning,so I could eat something before getting up

Lolababy00 · 11/01/2015 12:42

supersupersupershock · 14/01/2015 14:05

Nuchal measurement of 2.6 for me today :( :( :( :(

Bloods done so expecting a call tomorrow to say I am high risk

Think everyone else on here was about 1.8 nuchal so I'm pretty worried :(

stubbornstains · 14/01/2015 15:45

I've got everything crossed for you super.....

I don't really know what that reading means, but it's horrible being so worried and having to wait and wait for a call.....Hoping that call doesn't come xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 14/01/2015 18:09

super, like stubborn I'm not sure what that means but we're here to hand hold. Fwiw I've had 2 close friends that were high risk and their babies were fine. Apparently it's more common to have a false high with girls xxx

supersupersupershock · 14/01/2015 19:31

Thanks guys. Getting a bit more used to it now and read lots more. Its still in low risk category up to 3.5 apparently but its still on the high side. Stick my age into the equation and it will send risks right up... will see what blood results bring.

Tranquilitybaby · 14/01/2015 19:41

I don't think you're high risk Super, it was def 3 something as a cut off. Could you possibly look into having Harmony test done if you're worried?

supersupersupershock · 15/01/2015 05:09

They said up to 3.5 was 'normal'. They said it nuchal is a concern they are obliged to tell you - they hadn't told me, I asked them what it was. Blood tests will give more info so just got to wait. In the meantime Dr Google has been actually coming up with lots of positive stories and nuchal tests at 5 and over and still being fine........

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2015 09:49

Hi girls, I'm still here.

Super try not to worry. That still sounds like it's in range for being absolutely fine.

I'm ok. Nothing to report. Have been having some nausea and other low level symptoms so feel a bit hopeful.

I am 7 weeks tomorrow and may consider an early scan. They are a pretty expensive round here though. The cheapest I've found locally is £75. If I travel to Northampton I can get it got £50 but not sure how much the petrol cost would cancel out the saving.

The midwife rang me yesterday regarding booking in so I need to ring her back. I feel as though anything I do is tempting fate so I'm kind of stuck in static motion. I even berated my Mother for suggesting yesterday that I will be having a baby. Just hearing her say it made me really pissed off. By the end of this I think I'm going to need therapy!

stubbornstains · 15/01/2015 09:56

Hurrah hurrah sebs! Well, getting past 6 weeks is the first milestone down, and means your chances of having a healthy pregnancy have already increased. If you do decide to have an early scan, seeing the heartbeat increases your chances again.

Thanks to all the worried and waiting....

Lolababy00 · 15/01/2015 12:36

Hi sebsmummy glad your still ok, I'm due an early scan as I'm not sure about dates. I have had very little symptoms. Doctor did say I would have scan by end of this week but have heard nothing yet ... So it looks like I will be ringing them tomorrow. My thoughts I with you as I feel I can't get too excited about pregnancy yet as I want to make sure everything is ok first . Will your doctor / midwife send you for a scan or is paying for it the only option?
Wishing you all the best

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2015 13:33

Thanks girls xxx

I would very much doubt that the MW would send me for a scan but I suppose you never know. I'm hoping the two miscarriages this year don't make me 'high risk'.

Lolababy00 · 15/01/2015 15:17

Phoned doctor and was told I should of heard earlier in week, given direct number to ring ...only finding it is open 11- 1 pm .... Slightly frustrated ... Sorry for slight rant !!

Tranquilitybaby · 15/01/2015 17:57

Sebs I felt EXACTLY the same as you (still do at times), that's what a loss does to you doesnt it sadly.

If there's anyway you can stretch to that scan, it'll do you the world of good. A heartbeat seen at 7 weeks cuts your risk of anything going wrong down to 2% I think it is.
