Hello all. It's my birthday today, had a lovely day out shopping with hubby, had a good look in Mothercare, nearly bought a grobag but didn't in the end as wasn't sure if the 1 tog looked too thin or not.

I still very nauseous when I'm hungry yes and heaved and threw up in the shower this morning. Loverly! Not. So Hexy you have my sympathies.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 05/01/2015 21:49

Happy birthday tranquility! Cake Flowers

Happy Birthday xx

Tranquilitybaby · 06/01/2015 14:24

Thanks seb, how's things with you?

sebsmummy1 · 06/01/2015 14:47

No idea. All quiet, nothing to report, I'm just hoping and praying I get to 12 weeks unscathed and get a chance to have a scan.

Tranquilitybaby · 06/01/2015 16:53

Nothing to report is good news. I'm sure all will be fine this time round x

Sparrowlegs248 · 06/01/2015 18:09

Evening all, happy belated birthday tranq hope you had a good day. I won't shouldn't! have a birthday while upduffed.

Sooo tired. I am going to gate it if people try to touch the bump. I might have to put a warning sign on it. IRL I am quite private so not looking forward to people losing their 'filter' which they seem to do when around pregnant ladies!

HexyQueen · 06/01/2015 19:59

Happy birthday tranq! U r quite a youngster in this group if memory serves? Hope your nausea passes soon. We could seriously do without this shit. Esp as now my baby is doing quite the acrobatic display 2 or 3 times a day (& it lasts for ages!) so I'm not symptom spotting like I did. She lets me know she is busy every night from 10pm. Was still going 2.30 last night!!!!

Still wearing the wrist bands & taking the meds so only puking a couple of times a day now, far better than it was. X

Tranquilitybaby · 06/01/2015 20:08

I don't know about youngster, 37!

I threw up spectacularly in the shower today, thought my head was going to spin around!
Mw at my appointment today got Gaviscon prescribed for the acid reflux which isn't helping the nausea. Hope you feel better soon x

stubbornstains · 06/01/2015 20:43

Glad it's getting a bit better for you hexy...Smile

Happy birthday tranquility- hopefully next year you can enjoy a couple of birthday drinks in place of a celebratory puke Wink

I actually braved the Big City today in search of maternity clothing....mixed success. There are only 4 styles of maternity jeans in the whole of Truro (I know, I got the low down from the (pregnant) manager of Dorothy Perkins when I asked) and two are boot cut and two are skinny! (stamps foot). Neither will do...skinny jeans are no good when your thighs are the shape of parsnips at the best of times. I have just had a look online, and everything looks fugly there too......bah. I think I will just hide my head in the sand regarding alarming abdominal expansion for another while....

HexyQueen · 07/01/2015 11:13

Dunno if any of you joined the FB junebug private group but I posted a video of my baby visibly kicking my stomach... Think I'm giving birth to an alien! I'm only 18 weeks & it seems v early for visible kicks. I also felt v old baring my 42 year old tum in front of a group of 20/30 year olds! Shock

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/01/2015 18:42

10wks today. Its amazing how quickly it goes! I am truly exhausted, thankfully i seem to manage ok during the day but by the afternoon I am flagging and by the time i get home from work I am good for nothing. Just about to attempt a proper meal which i have been struggling with in the evenings.

I don't know how those of you who are actually being sick are coping. Respect to you.(Hexy!)

I am amazed though reading these boards at how many people feel so bloody awful! They must do a god job of feeling it quiet.

supersupersupershock · 07/01/2015 18:49

stubborn I use online for maternity - try H&M, Topshop, Next (including clearance section), New Look, Debenhams - I just order plenty so get free delivery and send a load of it back. Its like christmas every day here Grin

Scan for me tomorrow (12 week) - excited and scared!

Tranquilitybaby · 07/01/2015 20:52

Stubborn, I'll hope still be bf next Birthday so I won't be able to drink then either! Oh well!

I've thrown up twice today, it burnt my thriat with the acid too. Urgh. Got some more Gaviscon to try and combat it. I'm hoping the nausea/sivkness goes away soon.

Still don't have my pram from bloody Mothercare either! Got to wait until the 16th now. Not impressed at all.

stubbornstains · 07/01/2015 21:33

Ooh, H&M, I like H&M! and they're cheap. I shall have a look. I was thinking maybe harem- style pants, but I did try on a pair today in New Look, and they weren't very flattering to the maturer arse Grin. Maybe that's why I've only seen Young Folk wearing them?

Wahey, big milestone tomorrow super- good luck! Are you having the combined test too?

You never know tranquility, maybe your- what?- 6 month old will be sleeping through by then, so you could have a couple of drinks, and the booze would have time to leave your system before the morning feed? Maybe Hmm.

(not that I spend large amounts of time pondering this very question, oh nonononono....(cough)).

Well, I split up with DP this evening. I must admit that the way that he reacted to the news kind of reinforced my opinion that I've made the right decision. He says that he is still going to be there for DS, and the baby. Hope he sticks to that Hmm. I feel fine, though. Pretty relieved.

stubbornstains · 07/01/2015 21:37

That's amazing about the kicks hexy- I've got a little active one too, at times, but you couldn't tell from the outside.....although I strongly suspect, given my last 3 months of blatant overeating and your last 3 months of puking hell, that you have less of a covering of abdominal flab to conceal things....Grin.

Tranquilitybaby · 07/01/2015 23:26

Oh I dunno, my last baby at 6 months still woke twice a night (LA la la not even listening to myself!)

Aww bless you, glad you've realised you've made the right decision but have an un MN hug anyway. X

Lolababy00 · 08/01/2015 09:50

Hi HexyQueen hope I've got the right thread, hi to everyone else I'm 40 and have just found out I'm expecting my 5 th !!!!! ..... No I'm not a baby making machine just had 3 children when I was very young , my eldest in her last year at university... Now with a new DP. Not sure how many weeks I am, my cycle indicates 6-8 weeks but tested bfn 8 days before Xmas, then felt off and no period in new year so took another test and it was a BFP ... Been to doctors as I has a slight bleed after sex and she's booked me in for an early scan next week so hopefully dates will be confirmed.
Oh and on the baby sleep thing my DD slept through the night at 16 weeks , my DS decided he was going to sleep through at 14 months !!!

stubbornstains · 08/01/2015 11:09

Welcome lolababy! Do you want to go on the stats list yet? Smile

I do know 2 babies that slept through the night from day 3 apparently- my brother and I Hmm. WHAT WAS MY MOTHER GIVING US?????? Or was this just an enormous fabrication?? I did kind of hope, when DS was born, that maybe it was in the genes, but he didn't sleep through until an utterly unremarkable 9 months.

Lolababy00 · 08/01/2015 11:45

Hi stubbornstains would it be ok to go on stats list once I've had
scan, then I'll know exact dates... Mid to End of august I think : )
I think once your baby sleeps 6 hrs it's lovely ... You seem to be a lot less zombie like !!! I think health visitors say sleeping from 10 pm - 6 am is sleeping the night .

Gingerbreadlady1 · 08/01/2015 14:09

Welcome lola, hi everyone else.

hexy, I'd love to see that, shame we can't put on pics here. I have an anterior placenta so despite him being a wriggler on scans I haven't felt much & seem nothing. Bit disappointing & would have liked the reassurance of feeling movement.

Hope you're doing okay stubborn, I'd be in pieces.

Any scans coming up anyone?

Scan today :)

They said everything seems normal but they couldn't get the nuchal measurement because of baby's position. Also said i may have a fibroid (but away from birth canal) so it may be obstructing view :( Have asked me to come back next week for another scan so they can try and get nuchal again.

The wierdest thing was baby's stomach kept bouncing up and down, which was quite funny. Asked if it was because baby had hiccups but she said she wasn't sure!

Was a bit disheartening as was hoping for the nuchal measurement but get to see baby again next week.

Ladies who have had the combined - could I ask what was your score for downs syndrome - I have no idea what to expect.

12 + 3 (officially!)

Gingerbreadlady1 · 08/01/2015 16:33

That's a bit annoying for you super but on the bright side you get an extra scan!

Think my nt was 1.5 (does that make sense?) & combined was 1/2815
