How are you this morning sebs?

sebsmummy1 · 30/12/2014 09:55

I'm ok thank you. I managed to get in to see the nurse this morning. She was dealing with my partner and my fertility testing, so im going to have a word as to whether she would consider testing my progesterone levels to see if they were high enough to support a pregnancy.

I suspect she will do nothing, so I think I'm going to order some Cyclogest online and just self medicate basically. I promised myself after my last MC that if I got pregnant again I wouldn't passively wait around to 'see what happens' I would take aspirin and progesterone and fight. So that's my mindset and if the worse happens then it will be registered on the system that I have had three miscarriages.

Sparrowlegs248 · 30/12/2014 10:10

Hope everything is ok Seb its sounds like you are clue up on what to do. FX for you.

Sorry to hear you are having a crap time stubborn sadly I know how you feel. 'D'H is currently on best behaviour after his recent 'episode' but I'm not convinced. I have decided that I am doing this regardless, and if he wants to be part of it he needs to be supportive and NICE at the very least. There has to be some benefit in him being here. I would much prefer us to be together but not if its shit.

Feeling slightly better today, hope it continues!

sebsmummy1 · 30/12/2014 11:18

My cunning plan to buy Cylogest is dead in the water as the site waited until the very last knockings to tell me I needed a prescription (understandable but I honestly thought I could get it without). So looks like this one is in the lap of the gods.

stubbornstains · 30/12/2014 11:37

Has the bleeding increased sebs? So sorry you're going through this.

stubbornstains · 30/12/2014 11:39

And have you had low progesterone readings before? (although to put this into context, my prog test results were 28.5, then 23.5, and should have been above 30. Yet, it was still all OK...).

sebsmummy1 · 30/12/2014 13:34

stubborn the only thing that makes me feel vaguely better is that my progesterone was excellent on the 3/21 test. It was 55 and the nurse said reading as low as 11 would still be considered ok.

Well I had my appointment. She suspects I have thrush so has taken a swab and prescribed a peasant and cream. We went through everything and she is going to have a word with the doctor and see if they are prepared to run any tests - she thinks not but as I was obviously upset she is going to try. My blood pressure was slightly raised but I was in a total state and when she did it again it was 128 so not dreadful. She rightly said I'm not helping myself by getting into such a state. I'm having anxiety attacks throughout the night and knicker checking all day. It's a mess quite honestly.

I'm not even bleeding! I had some red flecks lady night and this morning, as big as glitter particles. I need to chill the fuck out or I'm going to ruin this all by myself.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 30/12/2014 15:04

Hi everyone!

sebs it sounds like you're getting great care and that nothing sinister is going on but I fully understand how the fear can take hold! Fwiw there are a load of ladies on the May thread have had (& some still having) bleeding, some of which is very heavy. Hematoma (?) can cause it apparently.

stubborn, oh no! How you doing?

notta been thinking about you also, you okay?

Tranquilitybaby · 30/12/2014 15:28

Aww sebs I can totally relate. Losses do funny things to is in subsequent pregnancies. I had thrush at the beginning too, it's very common and I had pink staining too. Rest up and think positive my lovely. Xx

Snooky17 · 30/12/2014 16:47

Had 20 week scan today everything looks good, consultant says to continue asprin till 36 weeks, booked me in for sweep at 40 weeks. I can relax now right ?
Sebs crossing fingers everything is fine, bloody miscarriages make u overanalyse every single ache pain and fluid secretion.
My OH decided to have an"episode" too, having police knock at your door at 2 in morning is not what I want ever again, just talking to me could have avoided his anxiety and subsequent dickheadness, can't wait for this year to end tbh

Gingerbreadlady1 · 30/12/2014 16:58

Aww, congrats on the scan snooky, mine is tomorrow.. What's the aspirin for? How's the bump doing, I feel huge!

Sorry you're having a hard time from dp at the moment too. So rotten all of you having extra stress when you really, really don't need it.

Snooky17 · 30/12/2014 17:22

Hi ginger bump buddy ! Asprin was recommended by midwives because I had 2 previous miscarriages within 6 months, my 2nd MMC my body just wouldn't bleed despite 4 doses of the pessary, so is preventative just incase I have a clotting problem.
Men really can be incredibly immature sometimes we will sort it but not without some grovelling from him lol, re bump feel podgy not really bumpy just yet, hope baby is cooperative for your scan tomoz x

Sparrowlegs248 · 30/12/2014 17:56

Thanks ginger I am ok, feeling a bit more level headed about things for now and husband appears to be making an effort.

I am feeling bloated, trying not to pack weight on but am eating differently, more crabs than usual.

Bloody cold. Just sneezed 37 times in a row!!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 30/12/2014 17:58

I was a 10/12 before! Put on a stone (at last weigh in) but look at the size of me!!!

I'm getting nervous now re scan! I hope you guys get it all sorted and sufficient grovelling is offered. I wonder if it's the stress/scarceness of impending fatherhood that is causing all the bad behaviour.

Anyone else fancy sharing bump pics?

Lol! I'm glad he's making an effort. I've basically had a cold for 3 months now, it really does affect your immune system.

Will post something properly in a mo.....but I just have to say...there have been a couple of awesome typos in the last couple of posts, and I am proper ROFLing......How is the peasant, er.....applied, sebs? Grin

The quality of typos on here has improved x100 since the introduction of smartphones.....Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 30/12/2014 18:05

Grin I made myself lol at crabs.

Sparrowlegs248 · 30/12/2014 18:08

Ugh that's not what I need to hear about the cold ginger! I have a really tickly cough and am eating and drinking almost constantly to ease it! Hope my eating habits will settle when I am back at work.

And ooh look at you a real life pregnant person!! Hehe its lovely to see an actual person behind the words. You look great, can't wait til i get a proper bump.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 30/12/2014 18:19

As I live in a building site we have no body height mirrors so it surprised me. The way I feel is very diff to how I look, it's weird. I love a bump pic, it is nice to see a real person behind a user name. Ladies, get your bumps oot for the girls!!!!

Oh & I ate a lot weeks 7-12 to combat nausea, then no appetite now pretty much back to normal.

Snooky17 · 30/12/2014 19:05

Ooh fab bumppage Ginger, may pluck up courage to post a bump pic Tomoz. This talk of crabs has made me quite fancy a prawn salad sandwich tho mmmmmmm

stubbornstains · 30/12/2014 20:12

Oh blimey, I'm only 18+ 2, and I think I'm bigger than that ginger! I am even feeling a bit disconcerted by the size of the bump- it's too much! I'm not ready to be so obviously pregnant yet! Suddenly I'm a bit freaked out about the whole thing........Of course, I am aware that quite a significant amount of my bump could well be mince pies Blush. Will have to screw up the courage to take a photo soon.....

Thank goodness sebs, for the moment it sounds like all is well. Smile. I guess the first milestone is the 6 week mark- in a week or so? Are you going to go for an early scan?

Re: men and pregnancy;- well, it is definitely a scary, unsettling time for them. And I'm sure that, if they came to us and said: "I'm worried how this is going to change our relationship/ whether I'm going to be a good dad/ that some harm is going to come to you", we'd be helpful and sympathetic, right? But, frankly, if they're going to freak out and act like total twats because they've never bothered to work out how to express their emotions properly, because the expectation has always been that women go the extra mile to pander to their feelings, and suddenly those very women aren't coming up to scratch because they're not feeling that great themselves, then they can FUCK. RIGHT. OFF.

(stomps off in the direction of the Feminism board >>>>>>>>>>)

Sorry you're having twatman issues too snooky Sad
