So 12+2 today 41, due date 4th of July
Glad to see everyone is doing ok..have been lurking for a while Smile

NewEraNewMindset · 23/12/2014 13:28

Well im here but im terrified. Havent even missed my period yet! How the hell do i convince myself everything will stick this time or does everyone constantly pant watch for 12 weeks?

I have decided that even if i'm only pregnant for a few weeks i am going to enjoy it so I have downloaded and app and picked some names Grin

NewEraNewMindset · 23/12/2014 13:31

BTW I was previously Sebsmummy1, I think I recognise some names who will know me from my old alias - Tranquility!! Wink

Gingerbreadlady1 · 23/12/2014 17:27

Wow! Congratulations tilly & sebs. Welcome, so, so lovely to have some new old birds. Take it you've had a positive test then sebs, & yes , I was pretty much on knicker watch for the first 12 wks.

Yep, tested yesterday in my gym toilet fully expecting Bfn and amazingly had a pretty decent BFP. Was shaking like a leaf.

Wow! Two more old bird graduates, huge congrats ladies & welcome to our thread!!! How exciting! {rubs hands together with glee} more babies on the way Grin

Snooky17 · 24/12/2014 13:34

Woo congratulations to all the newbies !! Xx

stubbornstains · 24/12/2014 19:36

Oh my God oh my God oh my God! Sebsmummy and tilly! That is so amazing! I've seen you out and about on MN as it were sebs, and always wondered......I know you hadn't been on the Old Birds thread for a while, so wondered if you were taking a break from all the angsting and hoping and trying.....

I think the 8ww between BFP and 12 week scan is utter hell for most of us, excepting perhaps those who manage to stay very zen about the whole thing. I most certainly was under a Cloud of Doom for the entire 8 weeks! Feel free to vent and gibber here....

Aw....so many of the stalwarts of the Old Birds TTC thread are on here....I keep on thinking of anniehoo, and really hope she'll be popping up on here soon.

I will update the stats list soon- do you want to go on it yet sebs- at the moment I'm going through full on Christmas hell- aaargh, bloody family are down for A WEEK (they're staying in a holiday cottage up the road, but they're here every waking hour), and the pressure of wifework and mumslog and Making Fucking Christmas Happen is really really doing me in....Angry.

Merry bloody Christmas cluckers! (bah humbug emoticon Grin).

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/12/2014 20:03

HorseyGirl1 · 25/12/2014 09:38

Happy ChRistmas girlies - hope it's our last quiet Christmas for a while!
Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/12/2014 10:06

Morning old birds, hope you are all well and surviving Christmas! We have both been poorly, DHwith flu and me with pregnancy!! So not done anything, no Christmas dinner, nothing. Lots of rest. :-)

horseygirl do you ride? And if so will you carry on? My GP said not to, midwife said its fine. My horse is crackers though so not sure what to do.

HorseyGirl1 · 27/12/2014 10:58

Hi Nottalotta, no not for a long time. My mumsnet name was my late Dad's nickname for me when I was a kid and it just reminds me of my horse-mad Dad and helping him with his horses back then. I would like to take it up again at some point but all I did was hack around the country roads near me. I was never any good at jumping or anything but loved just hacking about in the fresh air and looking after them too. I've got to be honest if your horse is a bit nervy I personally would be a wee bit reticent about riding him at the mo. A year isn't a long time to wait. Could you lend him or know someone trustworthy to bring him on for you? Who will look after him while you are preggo? It's hard when you have animals I know.

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/12/2014 09:19

Its all gone quiet on here, hope you are all doing well and feeling fine!

I am not - DH has given me his vile germs. And am just so tired and nauseous. I feel pathetic.

Re. Riding horseygirl I will either not bother or just do a bit in the school once a week while I can. Its out hacking that the horse is a drama queen. I have three and am looking after them myself. DH will always lend a hand, but I hope to keep as active as i can and as i am due in august their care will be so much easier then than it is now!

A whole week til i go back to work. Wish i felt more able to enjoy it!

sebsmummy1 · 29/12/2014 18:04

Hi girls, just checking in. Things ok here, tested this morn with the digi I had leftover and got 2-3 weeks. I'm not going to test again as I know from my MC there is no benefit in doing it. Generally though things are going ok, nothing to frighten me so I'm just going to keep my head down until I get past 6 weeks (hopefully), then I'll take another breath.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas xxxxx

Tilly73 · 29/12/2014 19:37

Hi everyone and hope you had a happy Christmas without the Wine
I did have a small glass Smile
Feeling loads better now have reached the 13 week mark and actually did some exercise today
Hope those who feel lousy start to feel better soon Thanks

stubbornstains · 29/12/2014 20:48

Ah look, everybody's back. It's all overrrr! Thank God! Grin.

I cannot say it was a great Christmas. My family descended on us for a week, and I found it just too much. Normally I can rise to the challenge, but just didn't have the energy to do it this year. So, they had a big row with me (I choose my words advisedly), but at least they apologised.

Unfortunately, I also had a couple of rows with DP, and after the last one he stormed off (driving home while over the limit Angry), and I haven't heard from him since. It's been about 3 days, so I guess this is it. I mean, I'm sure he'll come back at some point, but this is not behaviour I'm willing to accept.

We were on the verge of looking for somewhere to live together, but I really don't want to do that now. At least I don't have to go through the upheaval of a move while pregnant. I'll have to tell my LLs the happy news very soon- I can't hide the bump any more! "Hiiii....I'm having a baby! Yes, on my own, it looks like Blush"

sebsmummy1 · 29/12/2014 22:24

Just had a speck of red blood on toilet tissue when I wiped Sad. Have put a pad on to monitor but it doesn't bode well.

Tranquilitybaby · 29/12/2014 22:32

A speck of blood could be an irritable cervix, a poss UTI, anything. Get some rest sebs, hopefully all will be ok xx

Tranquilitybaby · 29/12/2014 22:33

Oh stubborn what a shit situation. Take some time to think over what you really want before making any rash decisions x

BingoBonkers · 30/12/2014 04:11

sebs it could be implantation perhaps?

stubborn better on your own than with someone who brings you heartache.

supersupersupershock · 30/12/2014 08:52

Stubborn hope you are ok. I'm pretty much on my own. Well it all depends what he is feeling like. Wish I didn't put up with it and just did it on my own Flowers Cake
