Good news notta!

Right Next VIP sale slots are available, go go!

BingoBonkers · 19/12/2014 18:14

My MW won't return my calls/text. My 16wk appt falls between the hell that is Christmas and the non event that is NY. No MW clinic that week. Can I get anyone to give me any advice about when I should be making an appt? No. So annoyed.

Sorry to be a Whiney moo. Really want to scream. A lot.

ginger crabbit, yes, that's a good descriptive word Smile

bingo Hmmmm....at your last appointment, did the MW say where you would see her next? It wasn't at the GP surgery, was it? Because I had to call the surgery direct and book an appt. at the MW clinic through them.

Talking of which, I had my 16 week appt. today. Heard the heartbeat Grin. All good. She even told me there's a possibility I could get un-high risked when I go to see the consultant next week.

Oh yes, ladies, public service message from the midwives.... remember to bring your little jar of wee in, because having to wait while everyone who has forgotten goes and produces one in the surgery lav is what makes appointments run late apparently Wink.

stubbornstains · 19/12/2014 20:09

Oh, I know what I forgot to ask.....tranquility, it would appear that you're a nail technician then? Smile. Could I ask what precautions you're advised to take against solvents/ weirdy chemicals?

Tranquilitybaby · 19/12/2014 20:27

I only do natural nails stubborn, no acrylics etc and use Shellac polish as it's hypoallergenic. I wear gloves and have the room ventilated so there's not too much exposure.

If you're having nails fine, personally I'd recommend you stick to gel polish in natural nails but acrylics are considered to be safe in pregnancy too, just get them done at a reputable salon, not an unlicensed place.

Ha ha, I'm probably the least likely person ever to consider going to have her nails done! (mind you, they are looking in lovely condition now that I'm pregnant)!

No, I just wondered, because my job involves lots of white spirit and hardcore-looking enamel paints, but it's actually hard to get any solid info on what is actually harmful.....So I just wear a lovely Breaking Bad- style mask most of the time- at the very least it serves to scare people who barge into the studio without knocking....Grin

stubbornstains · 19/12/2014 20:45

So what are you going to do with your -last peaceful- holiday ginger? Bed, food, bed, dog walking, bed, pressies, bed?!

Tranquilitybaby · 19/12/2014 20:49

Oh I see lol, I thought you were planning some glittery talons for Christmas! I have red glitter everywhere!

I think as long as you're sensible it should be fine x

I tried to add stats list with my boy but it's un-boldened (?? Lol) the names. The sounds great stubborn but doubt it will be so peaceful, hopefully I will catch up on sleep. When you guys finishing up?

And congrats on hb stubborn, you going to find out gender?

OP posts:
stubbornstains · 19/12/2014 21:10

Yes, EVERY SINGLE TIME you update the list all the bold bits go and you have to put all the little stars in again Hmm. C'mon Mumsnet Towers, sort it out!

I will totally be finding the gender out....Smile

Gingerbreadlady1 · 19/12/2014 21:39

That's a bit pants. Didn't realise it was such a pain in the tits stubborn. You're hoping for a girl I think?

OP posts:
BingoBonkers · 20/12/2014 07:46

stubborn the GP receptionists wouldn't advise. All they said was no MWs working that week and to ask my MW. My MWs current voicemail says the days she is working w/c 19 November Shock. So frustrating not to get a response.

Tranquilitybaby · 21/12/2014 11:44

Hi girls how is everyone.

Tough day for me today, it would've been my due date for the little one I lost. Been a bit tearful but I know I'm so very lucky to be pregnant again.

Old bird graduates, gather round....let's talk chicklets!
BingoBonkers · 21/12/2014 13:24

Oh tranq today will be really emotional. Be kind to yourself. Can totally appreciate that you are thankful to be pregnant again but it doesn't ease the pain. The not knowing what might have been is hard. Flowers

Hi there, adding myself very tentatively - feeling a little bit old and scared to go through this journey again but also hopeful too. Sorry for your loss Tranqulity - take each day as it comes.

Tranquilitybaby · 21/12/2014 18:22

Thank you bingo I appreciate it x

Lit a couple of candles by the rose bush in the garden which is comforting x

Sparrowlegs248 · 21/12/2014 19:06

Evening all,

Bless you tranquility (((hugs)))

I feelyuck again. Tired, and nauseous. Tired mostly. I know I will feel better once I've eaten. Thank god for the Christmas break. Three more days at work then off til 5th Jan. Really not sure how I will manage to keep it a secret for the 2 - 3 weeks back at with before the scan.
Yaaaaawn.

HexyQueen · 21/12/2014 20:45

Hi horseygirl, welcome :)

Totally understand your pain today tranq, I know on my prev due date (for the mc) I was bereft both years but coped better this year with being pg, but it doesn't take away the what ifs.
Big hugs xxx

Bit freaked out if truth be told as we have a friend who pretty much invited himself for Xmas. Last time he was here almost 3 years ago I was also pregnant but lost that baby just after he left. DP was not in a good place mentally so I didn't tell him I was pg at the time, & when I lost it at 6.5 weeks it seemed pointless to mess with his head so didn't say anything then and went through it all alone. Now his friend is here again & I've come over all freaked out even though I'm much later on this time (16 weeks) & getting a gender scan tomorrow. Odd how little things can take you right back to some dark places. I'm not usually superstitious or anything.

HexyQueen · 22/12/2014 15:14

I'm having a little girl! Xxx

Lovely news Hexy. Hope you are feeling less upset by your friend.

Three hospital letters today! Its all go isn't it? 12wknd scan on 23/1/15. Followed by next midwife app and a consultant app due to my health 'problems' (I am not seeing a problem.......everyone else breaking out a bit!)
