Mine still hurts Misty414 and I had it at 10.30 yesterday.

Lovely to have another look BananaToast!

I thought I had a few flutters yesterday Lauren82000 but nothing's today so far :(

Lauren82000 · 24/10/2014 21:15

Well I've had the same fluttery sensation the last 2 days so it can't be all wind can it?

sazzle82G · 24/10/2014 21:19

Hi all. I gave banished my awful bad mood of yesterday. Sorry for the nasty rant.

Had to go to work dressed as a farmer today for harvest. Wore a shirt of my husbands but it was so tight I had to borrow my dad's padded gillet thing and have that fastened up all day. My visions of lounging about in my DH ' S baggy shirts all pregnancy like they do in the movies are totally shattered. Who was I kidding. He's skinnier than me at the best of times.

We have a king sized bed. When we bought our house even though money was tight I really wanted to invest in a nice bed with lovely white cotton sheets. I could quite happily live in my bed! Here now while DH is watching TV downstairs which seems to be our new routine. Working for us.

Ooo don't like the thought of painful arms for days cinnamon. Got my jab on Monday. That's something to look forward to Confused

cinnamongreyhound · 24/10/2014 21:25

No I wouldn't have thought so, it's different anyway. It's about the right time although I felt ds's earlier than now.

cinnamongreyhound · 24/10/2014 21:28

Sorry that was about the flutterings, too slow posting!

Sounds like one squatting. Just give them a ring they might point you to your local walkin centre or out of hours doctors.

RiverRocks · 25/10/2014 07:28

Hope you're feeling better Squatting I find things always seem worse when they wake you up but if it's still bad definitely get it checked out.

Good news you've been seen and the nurse isn't worried but rubbish you're feeling bad SquattingNeville, hope the antibiotics kick in quickly for you.

My arm isn't aching more Misty414 but still feels bruisy when I touch it.

FizzyBubbly · 25/10/2014 11:24

Glad you got seen quickly Squatting, hope you feel better soon Thanks
Last time I had those symptoms I was too busy with work deadlines to do anything about it, and I ended up hospitised for 4 days as the UTI progressed to a full blown kidney infection. Not nice!

AnniaFausta · 25/10/2014 12:48

Back again after a crazy week at work... told my line manager I was pregnant on Thursday and thankfully he was in a good enough mood to remember that you can't get cross at pregnant ladies! So that went a lot more smoothly than I was fearing it would, and HR are being very supportive about getting some alternative staffing help to deal with my long Thursday shift. Fingers crossed it all comes through now.

New symptom of the last fortnight is headaches! Although I suspect this has been set off by picking up whichever lurgy is going around, and the sinuses getting inflamed more than usual. I'm informed by 'What to expect' that there's a hormone released to tell the womb to get spongy which also affects all mucous membranes, including gums and sinuses - so what normally would be a bit of a blocked nose turns into a headache. Sleeping with the window open and drinking lots of water seem to be helping, so I'll go with that and hope that once whatever mild infection it is has gone everything will go back to normal.

Horseyone · 25/10/2014 15:46

Hello everyone,

Just read 8 pages of posts! Great to start seeing some ideas of prams, pushchairs etc

Was worried as feeling so normal recently but then was sick this morning which weirdly puts my mind at rest.

Quite funny to hear all of your bed sharing and sex stories, my DH left early sept and isn't back till end of dec so plus side is I get whole bed to myself and no pestering! Down side is he will miss both scans and I have no one to look after me. Boooo.

Yes to the headaches, been getting them every day, been able to resist paracetamol so far. Still got sore stich like pain in my side and in uterus, don't know whether to bother anyone about it?

Also, stretch cream, apparently this is the dong bing "trofolastin cream", it's very expensive but apparently it works.

Been feeling really moody and fed up the last couple of days. Getting really peed off when family just FIRE questions at me, have you thought of names, what's your both plan, what are you going to do about work, blablabla! I don't know!!

Aaaah sorry for rant Blush

LadyNovember · 25/10/2014 19:41

Ugh I hate the names question. At this stage people apparently feel like they can make horrible remarks about your choices..like it's going to make a difference!

Also getting headaches every few days. Feel tension-type..if that makes sense. Also resisted paracetamol so far, horsey..high five!

Hope you're feeling better soon, squatting xx

I agree Misty414, we told people our few final choices with ds2 and some peoples faces dropped which upset me. People are less likely to say mean things when it's your child's actual name!!

I bet you'll look so different when he's back Horseyone. I'm the opposite with family, I feel like no one mentions my pregnancy unless I do :(

Lauren82000 · 25/10/2014 20:35

Half of my family don't know I'm pregnant yet. I kind of left it up to my mum to tell them as I don't really speak to them much. I met my mum at my grandpas today and my aunty was there too but no one mentioned anything so kept my gob shut. (Grandpa is 85 and has dementia so wouldn't really get that I was pregnant again anyway) when I got outside I asked my mum what was up and she said she didn't want my grandpas lady friend on the phone to my cousins telling them the news. I can't quite get my head round why it's such an issue. But she won't really explain. She then went on to say she might text my cousins herself. So whether or not it's to do with issues she has with grandpas lady friend I have no idea. She then went on to say she told my aunty and it's not her news to tell in the first place! I told her last week she can tell them so I don't get the issue at all.

I don't think DH has told his friends or the rest if his family yet either. I know his brothers and grandma know (mainly because his mum can't keep her mouth shut) but that's it his uncles and cousins don't know either except his cousin that is also my best friend she knew before my mum.

Has anyone still not spilt the beans fully or is it just me now? I am excited but with all the bleeding issues I've had I'm still keeping it pretty subdued plus it avoids all the silly questions from everyone.

dancestomyowntune · 25/10/2014 20:48

My grandparents don't know yet Lauren. My mum doesn't want me to tell them until after my 20week scan. God knows why! She doesn't think y will be pleased (grandparents have strange ideas about everyone having two children, no more no less. As this is dc5 for us mum may have a point!)

AnniaFausta · 25/10/2014 21:54

Lauren, we're in the middle of telling everybody - various permutations of close family know and I'm doing an e-mail this evening to close family who we don't see very often (they live abroad). We're also telling friends as and when we see them. I'm wavering over whether to go for the big Facebook announcement, not least because I have a lot of professional colleagues on there - I'm thinking I might leave it until after Christmas when I can post a proper bump photo and let that do the talking. After all, they don't really need to know before that, right? I need to do a formal announcement e-mail on Monday to work colleagues too, now I've told my line manager, so that'll be another step out of the way.

All of DH's family know by now because as soon as we told his grandmother, she was on the phone to his auntie and the cat was basically out of the bag. Which is fine by me, and part of why we didn't tell his grandmother until after the scan.

Lauren82000 · 25/10/2014 22:23

It's odd how the people you want to keep their mouths shut don't and the people you want to blab it won't. Very annoying.

It's kind of like I can't be bothered telling people. We've known for so long that I'm not really bothered. I won't do the Facebook thing as the only people on there are old school friends that I don't speak to just like to be nosey about their lives and I really don't think I'll share this titbit of my life.
