Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

That's a good idea Luna - I'll look into some things like that. I saw that automatic machine in Mothercare recently. I didn't take a close enough look to see how it works - does it dispense the powder then the water? How do you keep it all sterile? Is there a fake forearm for testing the temperature? I breastfed for four months but DS was lazy and stopped putting weight on despite developing normally otherwise and I got railroaded into giving him formula top ups at which point he started refusing the breast. Making up bottles after the simplicity of breast feeding was a hideous task. Me and his dad had rock, paper, scissor tournaments to decide whose job it was that day.

Nessalina · 09/10/2014 11:02

Morning all Smile Big lazy lie in for me today!
Don't think the little guy has made any big switcheroos overnight (though it's quite hard to tell!!) but I'm going to bury my head in the sand today and ignore it all!

Bury head in sand = arse in the air. Good plan Grin

wilmabedrock · 09/10/2014 11:28

Haha Pis.

Tee I was in London a few weeks ago. No bugger gave me a seat on the tube despite being visibly pregnant. I felt like shit too. Arsewipes.

JuniDD · 09/10/2014 11:36

Good for the lie in ness.

Sorry for the rough nights with little ones, I didn't sleep well but that was just me!

Awful moment at the midwife today - I had a student and she couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler! She was like "have you felt it move today?". Made even worse as we'd just been talking about when the molar pregnancy was diagnosed. Sad. She found it in the end, racing away because I was panicking! 38 weeks now so have to read my "late pregnancy" leaflets ahead of 40 week appt.

I'm arse in the air all day today too as baby is still back to back. Grrr.

laurenamium · 09/10/2014 12:16

Oh no juni! The last thing you need is a panic! I'm glad they found it in the end though! I suppose students have to learn but it's still not nice when they get it wrong. I remember when I was in A and E for a suspected elbow fracture and the student grabbed me to strap it up before x rays...by my elbow Confused never felt pain like it!

I've stopped bleeding Grin but (tmi) now my mucus is like a weird beige/ grey colour. Don't know whether I should be worried or not!

Nessalina · 09/10/2014 12:34

Oh bloody hell Juni, how awful!! Don't they know stress is bad for pregnant ladies?? Shock

Ha! Bum in the air for a wee bit this morning... I'm actually feeling unsure as to where he is now, he's been moving around loads, so now I'm worrying that he might have turned and I'll have turned him back by doing exercises Confused Not likely I guess, but how will I know?! Driving myself a bit mad.

Dreadful day. Just found a half dead rat and my posh friend is due round. Cat staring at me gormlessly. Arrrgh!!!

Nessalina · 09/10/2014 12:41

Half dead as in 'a bit alive', or as in tail end or head end?! Grin

wilmabedrock · 09/10/2014 12:49

Oh Juni you need some TLC today. Hope that baby turns for you. If not, get Mr Juni ready for back massages during labour.

Pisghetti · 09/10/2014 12:53

I wouldn't worry Ness The exercises are designed to get them in the right position rather than just to turn them. Hope it's worked!

Oh bloody hell Juni that must have been a fright! When I was expecting DS a uni friend was training to be a midwife. She sent a woman home with a kick chart and a comment to give them a call if she didn't get ten kicks an hour. Cue very frightened lady a couple of hours later....

I have my first proper antenatal appointment today. Just remembered I might need to pee in a pot so swigging some water down quickly....

splodge77 · 09/10/2014 13:09

god I'm the queen of farting today, bloody lucky I work at home. Been reading back through Fred - exciting that people are at stage of packing hospital bags! I would add spare nighties/bras to the list. I packed lots of spare babygros for baby but didn't pack a spare nightie for me & ended up with leakiest boobs ever once my milk came in - not v pleasant sitting round in a soggy bra/top all night and day. Hope my boobs won't be quite so over-enthusiastic this time round. Good luck with wiggling that baby into the right position Ness.

HungryHorace · 09/10/2014 13:38

Not read everything...stop bloody talking!

DS is 11 weeks' old today! Yes, bonkers, I know. :-) If you want to update, Ness?

HungryHorace · 09/10/2014 13:40

Ness, DS was unstable breech which is why I was in hospital for a week before he was born. And you don't want that.

Fx he turns for you. :-)

JuniDD · 09/10/2014 13:58

hi again, hi horace that 11 weeks has flown by!

It's a rat that keeps twitching. Sad. I hid it behind a massive piece of cardboard and the baby seems to love my friend so lots of movements while she was here. Phew! Going to eat some lunch, start watching the Princess Bride then lie down and do my hypnotherapy CD. Cats are firmly locked OUT the bastards!

ness I've been crawling around the floor and leaning over things most of the morning/afternoon. Knackering!

freshstart4us · 09/10/2014 14:53

Loving the very pregnant chat ladies!

Students. Don't talk to me about students and heartbeat monitors. I in the spirit of "they have to learn somehow" allowed a student doctor to monitor my DDs heartbeat during the pushing phase, the silly cow lost it at a fairly critical (and to be expected point when DD descended into the final turn) and DD was removed forcibly by failed ventouse and forceps administered by the Registrar. My undercarriage ended up completely shredded, it took me almost 2 years to resurrect my urinary continence and as a result I will never EVER allow a student anything near or a loved one again!!!

Keep rockin' Ness.

Juni your rat is turning my stomach. Can't you get the damn cats to finish the poor thing off??? (LUUUVVV the Princess Bride btw!!! LOL)

wilmabedrock · 09/10/2014 15:18

Fresh that's awful. I also had a failed ventouse and forceps. Thankfully no major incontinence issues except when I cough or sneeze.

Pisghetti · 09/10/2014 15:29

I'm sooo glad now I don't have a cat Confused

Pretty uneventful MW appointment. She clearly knew what she was doing and found HB straight away so that was nice. Just waiting for flu jab now - I'm a wuss so look a bit like this Sad

ZylaB · 09/10/2014 16:02

DH has informed me there's half a vole on our doorstep, the back half...... So my youngest brought me a present, bless...

I've got flu jab in mon so will join you in achyness pis

littleluna89 · 09/10/2014 16:33

Yikes juni bit of a scare! I had a couple of student doctors working with the surgery last time I was pregnant, so they saw me a few times during the pregnancy, they tried to use one of the listening horn things but couldn't agree between then what way up it went!! In the end I pulled out my grey's anatomy knowledge and told them what to do! Had a student midwife during my labour and she actually delivered Alex in the end from what I recall, she was lovely, and listened to me far better than the qualified midwife!

pos I think you measure the powder, then it puts in some boiling water to sterilise the powder then fills it the rest of the way with cooler water to make it the desired temp, I assume you can manually change the temperature you want it to end up at...

The more I think about my labour the more I really want a section... Is there a way to elect for a c-section without my family (my husband and his mum specifically) finding out do people recon?

cookielove · 09/10/2014 16:50

min I have the chicco next to me! Although ds is currently I his moses basket which sits in that! Although he will occasionally sleep just in the crib, I basically try lots of different things to get him to sleep Wink

luna pis it's called the perfect prep machine (I have one) it is brilliant! You put the bottle onto a shelf and then push the button, the machine gives the bottle a hot shot which you then add your powder too and shake. You then put it back on the shelf and push the button and water is added to make it up to the correct oz. You can make between 4 and 11oz! And it takes less than 2 minutes and the bottle is perfect temp for your lo. Also you don't have to sterilise the water as it goes through a special filter. The only annoying thing is, that it beeps really loudly.

RPopz · 09/10/2014 17:41

Bloody students! Glad all is well Juni!

Lol at your head in the sand, arse in the air Ness Grin

Good news on the bleeding stopping Lauren Smile

Hi Horace!!

You're all too chatty Shock Some of us have to work for a living Wink

Nessalina · 09/10/2014 17:49

Ooh what makes a breech 'unstable' Horace? Threatening to be born in bad position, or flipping positions??
Ugh, really hoping that he decides on the right way soon...
Sympathies on the flu jabs viroids - I need to have mine done... I hate injections!
