Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Oh Juni that's rubbish! Hope you're both getting on the mend ASAP! Ugh hospital is so horribly dull Sad Are you seeing much of baby Juni? Positive vibes coming your way!!

I've just had a text from my manager asking if I want to go to the Xmas Do! Can't decide what to say...
It's always a good do, booze & food covered and much silliness, and it'll be nice to see people, but it's only a month after DS is due - am I being ridiculous to think I could sneak out for a couple of hours? Confused

Juni I am so sorry to hear you and babyJuni are having to deal with all the medications, treatments, etc. Your poor wee girl - may she yell and holler long and loud at such indignities, as Chat says much better they are loud than quiet in such circumstances.

Chat I can only imagine how devastated you must be after 3 losses. FX a specialist clinic is able to sort things out and, as you say, glue the next one in. ;)

freshstart4us · 22/10/2014 11:44

ness are you planning on bfeeding? If yes, I'd say don't bother with the Xmas Do, your milk and his feeding will still be sorting itself out and several hours away would necessitate your DS being given a bottle and you expressing, which is just a lot of faff when you're prob going to be shattered and still not feeling yourself anyway. Can you tell your boss you'll get back to him after DS is born? There really is NO way you can even guess how you'll be feeling a month afterwards at this point!

Nessalina · 22/10/2014 12:04

Yeah, we're hoping to breastfeed. It's horribly unrealistic isn't it? Sad I don't think baby will be welcome at the do, and I'm unlikely to be able to leave him. I hate missing out on a free lunch!!!

juni wishing you both a speedy recovery :)

wilmabedrock · 22/10/2014 12:16

I agree with Fresh if bf. But if not then definitely go as a wee break may do you the world of good. It is pretty impossible to tell at this stage. You may go two weeks overdue in which case DS will be even smaller.

Nessalina · 22/10/2014 14:09

I've reached a new laziness low - not got up yet and DH has just brought me a Happy Meal home for lunch Blush

Grin Ness! I seem to have lots of energy back finally! Going to gut out the house to make room for the impending baby paraphernalia!

teejayem · 22/10/2014 14:34

Oh Ness that sounds like bliss!!! I've taken a 4 day week at work this week with sole intention of sleeping in forever on Friday. Mr Tee is away with work, so it's a guilt free indulge! Then I'm going out with my mum to try and find some larger-but-not-maternity clothes (might get some Mat jeans tho..)

I've totally gone off food :( Unless it's really clean tasting (Like celery or clear soup) fruit juice or fizzy water, it makes me gag :( I absolutely love butter, but the thought of it at the moment is making me retch!

wilmabedrock · 22/10/2014 14:56

I'm so tired. (Surprise). Today is really dragging. Please let the next 3 hours go quickly.

teejayem · 22/10/2014 15:18

Hear hear wilma :(

FurryScoob · 22/10/2014 15:19

What's the toy in the happy meal ness? I miss the days when food came with a toy, had massive fights with my DB as a kid over who got the plastic crap out the cereal!

1 hour wandering round town & I'm knackeredSad have come home with a Valerie patisserie cake for tea tho! Grin

cookielove · 22/10/2014 16:31

Eli is so unsettled from his injections bah!!

Nessalina · 22/10/2014 16:43

Aww poor thing! Injections seem so mean when they're so tiny! Confused

Some sort of weird punching toy in the Happy Meal Grin DH is enjoying playing with it! Still not up, DH just crawled in with me when he got in so I think we'll just vegetate for the rest of the day! Smile

I hear ya Ness! I've had a glorious day off spent on the sofa and must've had five sleeps! I have a horrid fuzzy head though now.

splodge77 · 22/10/2014 17:20

Wah I'm jealous of your lie ins!! I've had a 3 year old to wrangle all day. I've got a weird aching in me fanjo this pm, hoping it's nothing sinister! Can someone else come round and cook dinner please? Need food but can't face prepping it blargh.

laurenamium · 22/10/2014 17:43

Another one jealous of lie ins here! I'm just coming to the end of a 12 hour working day. Feeling much less motivated to gut the house now too funnily enough Hmm

HungryHorace · 22/10/2014 18:17

Cookie, he cried quite a bit but I wouldn't say he was screaming exactly. He'd sometimes let out a high pitched cry / squeak, but that was more to do with tricky wind / poo.

He was gurgling / coughing a fair bites he had silent reflux. He only really puked if he was trying to poo and the bearing down forced milk up.

Chat, I'm really sorry about your loss. I hope you get to the bottom of it very soon.

Juni, sounds like you're having a tough time. Fingers crossed you're in no more than the 5 days.

HungryHorace · 22/10/2014 18:19

Oh, cookie, DS' reflux was shocking overnight after his jabs, so watch out for that. I hope your DS isn't affected like he was though.

cookielove · 22/10/2014 18:33

I'm not sure what Eli has Confused

I think it may just be wind, he makes lots of grunts and this. Awful gasping noise although he doesn't seem bothered by it. He is snotty in his nose. And can be wiggly. He very rarely brings up milk, but has projectile vomited in the past (we think due to colief and comfort) more often he drinks a bit to much and brings up a bit. He does whimper and make a whole range of noises! What do you think that is?

wilmabedrock · 22/10/2014 19:03

Cookie it sounds like it could be silent reflux. MiniWil had it (the puking variety, not silent) and made lots of grunting/squeaking noises in her sleep. We managed it with infant gaviscon. She also ended up being dairy intolerant but we didn't know that at the time. Try propping the head end of the mattress up when he's sleeping and see if that helps at all.

Thank god to be home.

Take-away Splodge?

TheBooMonster · 22/10/2014 19:12

cries DH was sent home from work this morning because he has the bug that FiL has had for the past week, have spent the whole day chasing him back upstairs and away from the kitchen, and disinfecting everything like a woman possessed but in the past hour DD has filled 3 nappies will liquid poo :( So now they both have it, FiL has been basically housebound the past week because of it and if I catch it in time for the weekend and have to call in sick they're going to give me a disciplinary for a third period of sickness in 6 months (though in actuality it's closer to 3 months) exhausted face

cookie speaking of poo how are Eli's nappies, is he struggling to poo, are they explosive, how often are you getting them? could just be general injection luckiness but probably a good idea to keep an eye on it.

cookielove · 22/10/2014 19:21

Well he is having a mix of comfort and normal milk and Monday am I gave him a bit of prune juice and water he has pooped the last two days which is good for him. They were getting quite firm before Monday.

I spoke to the hv and she thought it was not reflux but really who knows!

wilmabedrock · 22/10/2014 19:43

Is she good Cookie? I don't think my HV would have a clue. If there's no improvement go to GP. We ended up in A&E in the night after a puking up blood episode.

Boo that is awful, hope you don't get sick. Your work sound awful.

TheBooMonster · 22/10/2014 20:33

cookie our problems were mostly waved away as us being overly worried first time parents by the midwife, the health visitor and the GP, it was the Paediatrician we were seeing at the hospital who cottoned on and called in the dietician, I have to say my faith in the local provisions has dwindled somewhat, we've got an appointment in place with the dietician for DD for about 3 months after my due date so that if we notice any problems with bump we can bypass the surgery and go straight to the dietician. Perhaps see if you can get a dietician referral from the GP?
