I think in my Feb 12 group there were about 4 or 5 sets of twins... I wouldn't have minded the first time round, but not now!

Siarie · 14/10/2014 09:19

No twins here either, I had that early scan. I wouldn't have liked it, I need just one first time to get my head around everything.

Had a bit of sickness this morning, I hope it's not coming back! Luckily just dry heaving before breakfast.

I've got to brave the weather today, I haven't left my apartment in a long time due to the worry of being sick or just not feeling well.

Lindalove · 14/10/2014 09:45

Just had a flu jab - never had one before. Hoping it doesn't make me feel too bad in the next day or so!

TinyTear · 14/10/2014 09:49

only have mine next week! I never had issues before...

willowave · 14/10/2014 10:11

Hi all, I haven't posted on here for a long, long time but have been trying to keep up. wine I am having my scan this afternoon, thought I heard 2 heartbeats on my Doppler but apparently it is probably just an echo.
from what I 've

TheBooMonster · 14/10/2014 10:15

tiny it's a bounty group, the bounty forums are bloody awful and we all struggled to stay logged in long enough to even ask to join an existing Facebook group, Bounty have really shot themselves in the foot with their new unstable website :/

willowave · 14/10/2014 10:19

Gagh! This is why I never post, it's impossible on my phone ignore last sentence of previous post. mswibble fresh figs got me going.
Lovely scan pics fizzy and lady

willowave · 14/10/2014 10:27

Ok, I'll try again! Phone is a nightmare my first post didn't post at all... this is getting awkward Blush I was trying to say wine that I have my scan this afternoon, I thought I heard 2 heart beats on my Doppler but apparently it may just be an echo. afternoon, and I

Mine is rubbish if I have poor mobile internet signal willowave but is fine with wifi. The mobile site is much better than the app :)

mswibble · 14/10/2014 11:34

lindalove I had mine yesterday and other than it aching a little as I tried to sleep on it, I've been fine! Fingers crossed I dont now come down with lurgy/flu symptoms!

cinnamongreyhound · 14/10/2014 11:59

I feel vaguely more human today but still struggling to breath and intermittent headache :( had a quiet morning as minded little boy was sick yesterday so just me and ds2 for a few hours. Going to attempt a run tomorrow morning and hope it clears me out!! Not as tired today, I'm sure this cold is dampening my glow Wink

JaneyTea · 14/10/2014 12:12

No twins here either. When I went for my scan at nine weeks, the sonographer said "only one" - I hadn't even contemplated that there might be more Confused

Been lurking for the past week as work has been awful and I've been feeling pretty down. However, only this afternoon to get through and then I'm off to Harrogate for for three days with DP, (and my birthday).

12 weeks today according to my dates. Started getting some crampy-jabby pains last night, which are freaking me out a little. I'm telling myself they're just stretching pains, but worried nonetheless. Scan next week.

Sorry your sickness is back Siarie, fingers crossed it goes again soon.

Lauren82000 · 14/10/2014 13:21

I have contracted DHs cold. My nose is runny and my face aches and is burning inside Hmm feeling very sorry for myself this afternoon but at least DD will be joining me in my pity party. It's her pre school jabs this afternoon so we can mope on the sofa together. Feel rather mean I haven't told her she is having them. Going to spring it on her when I pick her up from preschool. Grin Terrible mummy that I am.

TinyTear · 14/10/2014 13:27

i am taking mine to the flu spray this evening, but at least it's just a spray

LadyNovember · 14/10/2014 14:44

Lindalove I've had plenty over the years and never gotten ill from it.

mswibble · 14/10/2014 16:07

Thank you all for your toilet tales ladies! Makes me feel a little better! Though I did do it again this morning ( so twice in two days!) - im going to have to ask the midwife for any tips to stop it I think. Cant be fighting with the u-bend each time I go to the loo!

Told work today! Smile And once OH has told the last few 'significant' people personally I'll be doing a little announcement on FB.

BananaToast · 14/10/2014 16:51

Off for my flu jab after work today.

mswibble how did work take the news? Not sure when I'm going to tell - definitely going to wait for my NIPT results to make sure we have the all-clear first, but considering waiting a while longer. I'm on holiday from 16-18 weeks so might tell my first day back. No real reason not to tell sooner but I just don't really like the idea of everyone knowing just yet. Still getting used to close friends now knowing.

kismac · 14/10/2014 17:29

So I was back at doctors again today as not been coping very well. Onto my third set of anti sickness pills. Woo. Ha ha. Officially been diagnosed with HG so I am not a wimp the sickness is bad. Ha ha. Doctor has also signed me off sick for 2 weeks. I feel so relieved as just felt I was crumbling. Roll on stupid placenta so that we all feel better.

mswibble · 14/10/2014 18:16

That sounds awful kismac. Poor you. Glad you managed to get signed off, hopefully a total rest will help.

They were fine bananatoast, least to my face anyway! Im lucky as I work in a University so I'm pretty protected from any crap from managers, they know HR would haul their arses pretty damn quick. I've already informed HR too but I dont receive any info or paperwork until I submit the MATB1 form. Ive already decided I'll take the full year off, I get 4.5months full pay, 4.5 months stat and the final 3 months with nothing, but with careful number crunching its doable.

cinnamongreyhound · 14/10/2014 18:20

Don't forget accrued leave too for those taking a years maternity, you can return after 11 months but the last month would be paid leave so actually not physically back at work for 12 months, leaving only 2 months unpaid Grin

BrixtonBunny · 14/10/2014 18:32

Cinnamon I'm hopefully using my accrued leave to go back part time but on full pay for a few months!

Sorry to those still feeling sick, I can't imagine how awful it must be - I felt sick for a couple of months and that made me so miserable, thankfully have been feeling less queasy the last few weeks (though still bloody tired, hormone headaches, cold symptoms etc)

14 + 6 x

BananaToast · 14/10/2014 18:51

mswibble I also work at a university with a very similar maternity package! I'm not going to be able to afford any unpaid leave so will go back after statutory and any annual leave runs out.

TheBooMonster · 14/10/2014 19:15

Thought I was doing really well today and finally getting used to the sickness tablets. Turns out I've been so distracted with DD's hospital appointment that I forgot to take them which is why I felt so awake, and I'd skipped lunch because I'd been so busy with everything else. The dinner DH lovingly spent over an hour in the kitchen prepping and cooking ended up in the toil before I'd even finished my plate, now sat on the sofa with a duvet feeling thoroughly sorry for myself waiting for the tablets I took afterwards to kick in so I can eat :(
