Go Goats Really hope this is it!

STIGZ · 06/10/2014 20:13

pregnant thats crap about your oh job situation .. We are sort of the same as my dp is self employed and will not get any paid paternity, so if she decides to come early he will have to work aswell as we will not have enough money to cover bills etc ... Bloody shit but what can you do? Im lucky i will only have two... You have your hands full and plenty more!! Hopefully all will be fine for you and your dp gets manages some time off ? If not hopefully friends/family will be around for you ?

Pregnantagain7 · 06/10/2014 20:21

Thanks stigz yeah fingers crossed hoping maybe he can take a bit more time off later. I remember not being to tired last time until Ds was afew weeks old so I'm hoping this time is the same. I was on living on adrenalin for the first few weeks I remember around ten/ twelve weeks being tough.
Hope your dp manages to be there as much as he can. I feel sorry for my dp he's under so much pressure at the moment and there is nothing I can really do to help.

Me23 · 06/10/2014 20:36

goats sounds like things are happening! You really didn't want that sweep did you Wink I'm rooting for you.

kittyvet · 06/10/2014 20:48

Best Wishes goats!

BadgerInBury · 06/10/2014 20:52

Go Goats!!!!

ohthegoats · 06/10/2014 21:08

Ok, so definitely still every 15 minutes, but pretty gentle. If I'm standing when it happens it's a bend over type job, but sitting down it's more bearable.

Should I try and speed it up, or should I have a bath, take drugs and go to bed? Will warn doula in a bit, just in case it's a middle of the night call for her.

FlipFantasia · 06/10/2014 21:13

I'd go to bed Goats (I imagine that's what your doula will say too!). They will speed up gradually and your chance to rest will disappear! Very exciting times Smile

sazzlehopes · 06/10/2014 21:19

Good luck goats! Excited for you!
I'd get the rest while/if you can.

OP posts:
YellowWellies · 06/10/2014 21:21

If it were me I'd call the doula and head to bed. Smile

Me23 · 06/10/2014 21:23

Agree with flip rest while you can goats your body will thank you for it and be more able to handle active labour.

mum2kiss · 06/10/2014 21:38

Good luck goats! Sounds like this is definitely it!

Pregnant that sucks about your hubby having to work so soon. Hope he does manage t get some extra time.off later on.

Lulu298 · 06/10/2014 21:44

Fingers crossed and good luck goats!

STIGZ · 06/10/2014 21:53

Woo-hoo goats!! Baby goats sounds as if he/she is ready now!! ... So bloody exciting, hope you are ok and manage some rest ? But i know your adreneline will be kicking in which will make it hard to sleep ?

fedupofrainydays · 06/10/2014 21:57

If you can sleep goats I would. I couldn't in either of my labours and left me knackered (first one was 4 days and second 2 days)!

Missus2ndwife · 06/10/2014 22:14

Good luck Goats!! Fingers crossed for you

binkybunny · 06/10/2014 22:32

porcito · 06/10/2014 22:49

Good luck goats ! Hope this is it!

MrsBadCrumble74 · 06/10/2014 22:54

Good Luck goats

I too am having tightenings, regular/pulsing back pain. Smile Excited that this little baby crumble may finally be making a move. Heading off to bed to try and rest and see whether this is all a practice session or the real thing. Baby crumble is very active at the moment!

mrsb87 · 06/10/2014 23:17

pregnant I have a similar issue with my dh , he runs his own business and is worried that he has a large new job to start next week and he seems to be the only one who knows what's what. Hopefully it only means a few hours so he can get his team started. He'll still have to check all his emails and do invoicing etc. The joys of being your own boss!
So so much pain today. I am walking in baby steps and it takes me about 10 minutes to walk from one room to the next! Only a few more days to go...
good luck crumble and *goats! (

Grannyapple · 07/10/2014 07:48

Ooh all go on here! Good luck goats & crumble.

Not much happening here...woke up this morning feeling decidedly un pregnant!

The 2 gremlins are in nursery today so I've booked in a hair appt...will prob just try to tidy up after that & get hosp bag ready as well as sort changing table! Might feel more organised after tomorrow as cleaning lady will be here too!

Pregnantagain7 · 07/10/2014 08:21

Oooh hope things progressed for you goats and you're having lots of lovely contractions or who knows you may even be holding your little baby goat by now.

I had some mild contractions last night which disappeared when I went to bed but feel very heavy and crampy this morn felt like I was loosing something went to the loo and a bit of a show not bloody but stringy (enjoy your cornflakes everyone!!) I'm a bit excited I know it doesn't mean much but at least I feel like something is happening a bit.
I've got dds assembly this morning watch my waters go in the middle of it Blush

Pregnantagain7 · 07/10/2014 08:23

granny enjoy your free time a bit of pampering always makes me feel better! I had stuff done on Saturday and felt like a different person afterwards :)

ohthegoats · 07/10/2014 08:30

Well... carried on the same all night, and is still carrying on the same now. Every time I think 'urgh that hurts a bit' it's 15 minutes since the last time. But not really ramped up, so apart from noticing it when I went for a wee, I slept through it with paracetamol.

Going to carry on as normal today - boyfriend has gone to work, I've got acupuncture at 10 and the consultant at 11.30, then coffee with a mate this afternoon. At least this gives me a good 'leave me alone' argument for that lot!

Already sorted out the jizz input for the day, going to watch mucho ridiculous comedy before I leave this morning, and I'll just make this afternoon's coffee a mile walk away or something. Hope this doesn't just gibber on until the weekend and end up in induction anyway... argh.

Hope your stuff is a little more defined crumble

cabster · 07/10/2014 09:01

pregnant I actually was eating my bran flakes as I read that, you prescient thing you!
