Reflexology was AMAZING. She didn't just do feet malarkey, but all body stuff in terms of bump 'massage' and everything. Then did a load of the moves from spinningbabies for positioning. Came out feeling ace - which is good because I went in in tears about nothing at all. Actually feel relaxed about having an afternoon on the sofa, whereas up to now I've just been stressed out by it all.

Have a weird jittery feeling - the same as I had at the beginning of being pregnant, and had BH all the way home in the car. Fingers crossed it's moved the baby a bit more into being engaged.

Mum phoned this morning because she had a sleepless night and felt SURE it was empathy for me being in labour. Then dad called and said 'it's going to be tonight, I can feel it in my waters'. Haha.

Good luck kirsti...

I haven't taken any vitamins really. I ran out of folic acid a few days ago, and am not going to buy any more. For me vitamins seem to add to the constipation or nausea issues. I also just remembered that I didn't get around to the whooping cough injection. Or the yoga, or pilates, or doing natal hypnotherapy every day.

I'm a crap pregnant person!!

MundayCakes85 · 03/10/2014 14:21

I gave up on folic acid after 12 week mark. Got a couple of packs of pregnancy vitamins but never took them regularly as I think my diet has been pretty good on the fruit/ veg: chocolate/ crap ratio. Had homemade roast root veg pie with my mum this afternoon, was lovely. Ready for a nap and a chip supper later Grin

YellowWellies · 03/10/2014 14:23

mrsb can you post that cookies recipe again please (sorry I missed it first time) am wondering if I can make them dairy free friendly. I need decent goodies!

Kirsti and pink whoop!!!!

kittyvet · 03/10/2014 14:39

Congratulations pink and good luck kirsti!
Had my haircut today otherwise it's been sofa! My PGP bad today. Midwife said baby was 1/5 engaged yesterday so wonder if it's the pressure of the head giving me the fanny daggers today!

mrsb87 · 03/10/2014 14:44

yellow I've tagged you on Facebook with a link to the recipe. I think it's you anyway!

mrsb87 · 03/10/2014 14:48

I've not taken any vitamins since about 5 weeks because of the HG, the vitamins made not 10X worse Confused I've been put off ever since but baby seems to be perfectly healthy despite me barely not eating for the first 5 months and when I did it was McDonald's double cheese burgers, post mix coke and crisps!

Kirstipops · 03/10/2014 15:00

Chucks toys out of the pram and folds arms huffily, opens door and slams it, blows raspberries, stomps up and down stairs, flounces onto settee melodramatically

No waters, just an increase in watery discharge AND baby is still on the brim. Pahhh!!!

Kirstipops · 03/10/2014 15:00

(But thank you for the good lucks :) )

YellowWellies · 03/10/2014 15:01

Mrsb I luffs you!

Kirsti yah boo hiss!

Fanny daggers, snigger.

binkybunny · 03/10/2014 15:35

Missed so much today! Congrats PinkFizz and boo kirsti how annoying and everyone else who's dilating and not getting anywhere!,

I'm 3/5 engaged and mw has told me this morning it's as far as I'll get till I go into labour, 1 week til due date but hoping she arrives this weekend while parents are here. Had painful contractions last night dh and parents thought I'd be going in during the night but nothing but cramps and the dreaded fanny daggers this morning.

Been finishing the last bits of nursery furniture painting this morning and our new cotbed arrived this afternoon. I'm dying to get everything set up but I've been made to lie on the sofa for an hour because I'm just so flipping knackered- how frustrating Hmm

madamweasel · 03/10/2014 15:42

I went for an hour and a half walk before lunch in an attempt to encourage baby out and then had an hour of fanny daggers for my troubles Hmm

Kirstipops · 03/10/2014 15:43

I'm 3/5 engaged and mw has told me this morning it's as far as I'll get till I go into labour, 1 week til due date

How so, Binky? Why does she not think you'd engage any more?

Lily31 · 03/10/2014 15:53

Congratulations pinkfizz! Enjoy your baby girl.

Had a gentle paddle and walk in the pool this morning, whilst entertaining my friends 3 yr old. Feel like it's nap time now.

I've had a letter saying I am entitled to the flu jab. Has anyone else gone for this?

SweetPeaPods · 03/10/2014 15:55

One of my friends has just invited me to like a page on Facebook. About raising awareness of still born, and the story of a little boy called William.
I don't know whether she just didn't think, or invited all of her FB friends, but timings not exactly great is it?! I'm prob over reacting too but just seems a little insensitive.

SweetPeaPods · 03/10/2014 15:57

Kirst how annoying! Hopefully means you avoid induction though? Hope things start naturally soon.
I'm hoping but not expecting ds to have an afternoon nap. I could really do with a nap myself.

BingoBango85 · 03/10/2014 16:05

Had my flu jab a few weeks back. No issue

binkybunny · 03/10/2014 16:06

kirsti she told me you don't fully engage until you go into labour. I don't know so I'm taking her word for it... Confused

hefner · 03/10/2014 16:12

How annoying Kirsti. I'll join you in flouncing. I've spent the afternoon chasing dd up and down steps at the playground in the hope it would move the baby down, but I don't feel any different, just knackered. Dd is parked in front of peppa pig now so I'm going to do some bouncing on my ball. Determined to get this baby out!

LondonJen · 03/10/2014 16:13

Goats that sounds awesome.

Bah Kirsti!

This baby is trying to escape out of my pelvis without the aid of any contractions! It's head must be grinding aginst my bones or something the pains I'm getting. If it's already engaged, where is it going?!

So who is going to desperately DTD this weekend? Since the mw told me too I feel all eek! about being a mum.

LondonJen · 03/10/2014 16:17

Agree Sweet, I would find that difficult to receive right now if I'm honest.

I had flu jab before I got pregnant. Unhelpful sorry!

sazzlehopes · 03/10/2014 16:24

Oh kirstie grrrrr on your behalf.
Yes sweet probably a bad combo of it not being good timing on her part not realising how close you are, and you understandably being more sensitive...

madamweasel · 03/10/2014 16:25

Flu jabs are fine. I've had 7 in the last 7 years and no flu but I know some people don't think they make a difference. I kinda just think I may as well keep it up just in case it's not a coincidence. I never feel unwell after mine but some people say they get a headache for a couple of hours. If you have it when pregnant then the baby gets the benefit too, if you believe in the benefit. I'll be getting one when our surgery has them in.

Georgebythesea · 03/10/2014 16:26

MrsB I also haven't taken any vitamins since about week 7 as they made the sickness worse and haven't been able to face them since as last time I took one was SO bad.I've been having floradix instead when I remember and sitting in the sun lots to get vitamin D and eating the best I can manage.I feel a bit like you Goats had all these great plans..yoga,hypnobirth cd etc and although I have managed them now and again no way as much as I thought I would! You do the best you can!

SweetPeaPods · 03/10/2014 16:31

I might wait till after having ds for flu jab. Immunity will be passed through breast milk anyway.
I'm taking vitamins when I remember, and iron.
