bump I too am stumped! I'm the same as you, dilating but nothing! Wtf!?
If I was going by lmp I would have been due yesterday. This lo's time keeping is like his/he's father. Never on time for anything and will always be with you "shortly". Shortly is one of my pet hates, it means NOTHING! Lol.

So frustrating! They'll be here soon I guess...

Totally agree with shires post about winging parenting! I don't think it matters how many times you do it you never have the answers for everything. She very right about turning round one day and realising things have got easier but I usually bugger this bit up by getting pregnant again
I was talking to a close friend about me having four children the other day and she said " well out of any of us you are the right person to have four you're so organised and know what you're doing" I was gob smacked as that's not how I feel at all and was amazed that I came across like that (and that's really not a stealth boast!)

My daft fil has told all his side of the family I'm being induced on Monday
Dp had a call from his brother this morning to wish me luck! I told him to tell everyone I was just being fingered by a stranger but he thought his dad might have a heart attack

Yes to the OVERDUE ladies! It certainly is a test in patience for later on!

I'm off to the hospital in an hour to see what they say about me being overdue and attempting a vbac...I'm sure the magic word induction will be mentioned, but that is last on my list of things I want. In fact I'd rather have a calm controlled elcs over induction I think.
Will let you know what they say.

Going by my lmp my 'due date' is today, so really i don't feel overdue as such. I've had this date in my head over the sept one I was given at the scan which is why I joined the OCTOBER thread!! Hahaha we shall see!

munday read your mind!! Someone else's turn next though...phew! Had some time before hospital...so sorry now to anyone I've missed off, or got wrong. There are so many of us it's hard to keep up!

In doing it though I noticed alfiebear should have had a csection yesterday so very much hope all went well there if you find time to read this.

Heading to maternity assessment in a couple of hours, I may be ever so slightly dribbling waters but not sure so I'm going in to stop second guessing myself! If by some miracle the baby came today, my LMP-due date I'd be highly impressed and would assume baby must take after it's drummer dad as my timekeeping is rotten

Seeing the MW in a couple of hours and hoping she'll say baba is fully engaged. I've been up the last three nights with sharp pains every time she moves - feels like she's trying to headbutt her way out.

Feeling for all you overdue ladies. Last night I heard another of my NCT group had their baby and I burst into tears because I want our baby now. I'm not even officially due til tomorrow! Poor DP tried to cheer me up with talk of soufflés rising in the oven, bless his cheffy heart...

Well done Sazzle good effort. And good luck at your appointment, hope you get good news/ advice.

munday I had the urge to cook today! For the first time in months so we are having sausage casserole (hardly nigella I know!) I've only cooked for the kids really and I've just been picking but I need comfort food it's cold and I'm tired having apple pie for pudding too.

Wow when you see the list we have had a lot of babies already not bad considering it's only the 3rd of oct.

At least you'll know one way or the other Kirsti. I feel a dribbling sensation at night and yet there's never any wet to even assess! It's so odd. Starting to wonder if I have gone hysterical like you said?!

Grr. Had my midwife appointment this morning. 4 days overdue, head still only 1/5 engaged and cervix closed so she couldn't do the sweep. I'm booked in for another sweep on Tuesday. I was really hoping today's sweep would get things going, I'm getting so impatient now! My LMP due date is 5th Oct, so fingers crossed the baby is working to that timetable and will arrive at the weekend.

Cooking update! One lasagne in the freezer, today it's moussaka and cheese & bacon pasta bake. Maybe chilli as well if I get a wriggle on. I am however waiting for my mum to deliver some kidney beans and an aubergine before I can get started!

Grrr hefner how frustrating for you! Time to get swimming, walking and bouncing.

My due date is tomorrow and our first NCT baby due today came this morning..I saw her yesterday and she hadn't had any signs so fingers well crossed he will arrive over the weekend! Last time I saw the midwife she said his head was very much engaged but the only signs I've had is a few mild period pain type cramps that go away when I lie down.I really hope I'm not going to be pregnant for another 2 weeks.Really really had enough now,the 24/7 bad taste/reflux/excess saliva is driving me crazy,my back hurts and I want to meet our baba!!!

hefner don't worry re engagement as subsequent babies often don engage until labour starts.

pinkfizz congratulations would love to hear your birth story when and if you want to share.
stigz shire and pregnant agree with you on your parenting thoughts. I had wa finally in a good place with dc2 finally sleeping and things were flowig well and now everything will be chaos again. I fully admit I am not excited but worried/terrified of having a 3rd and all the stress it will bring. This makes me feel that my body is holding on to her as on not mentally ready or her to come but will I ever be? Obv I will be overcome with love for her when she is here but it still feels quite abstract now.

Just made the cookies posted on here and my days they are amaaaaazing! I added hazlenuts with the choc chips and would def recommend. The recipe made 18 of a similar size to those you get from the supermarket bakery and I've already had one...how am i going to get through the rest of the day without more??!

Official due date was yesterday and now already feeling impatient, refused sweep and hoping making OH DTD before work will help! BHs have definitely upped in intensity over last few days but not sure if that really means anything! Seems a lot of ppl are working from their last period due date instead of scan date and it's looking to be more accurate? is that the case for people? my original date was 12 October so I've got ages to wait now if he hangs in there until then!

Congratulations to everyone who already has their little ones with them, us overdue lot will hopefully be joining you soon!

I did warn you all those cookies were soooo moreish! We have a few left, we do have to ration them to no more than 2/day! I used a mixture of choc chips in the last lot.

Oo Hefner frustrating!

I had to buy more Pregnacare today, although I thought about not bothering at this stage. Is anyone going to get the new mum or breastfeeding versions of multi-vitamins? When I first got pregnant I wouldn't have considered it, never been one for vitamins, but I do wonder now if they might be worthwhile.
