I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

Evening ladies and welcome newbees...Smile

Had a fab time yesterday at my sis hen do.. The sickness and sore boobs decided to give me a break for the day. Went into spa.. Pool, jacuzzi, steam room (only stayed in jacuzzi and steam room for a short while) and then had a pedicure. The meal and dirty dancing entertainment were fab, fell into bed at 2am and up for breaky at 9am... Sickness returned slightly and tiredness peaked at 12 when i got home and said hi to dc's before crashing out in bed until 3pm, waking with dd nxt to me, she must of wanted her nap with me!

On the whole i'm slightly worried that my symptoms seem to be deserting me.. With dc's my boobs killed all the time and sickness was always there, it seems to of died down abit (6-7weeks) ... Can u get used to the symptoms after having afew pregnancies?... I think i will worry until this baby is born!

Think my nose is on overdrive. I can smell cigarette smoke everywhere. We've just moved and previous owner smoked in the conservatory. But I swear I can smell it everywhere.

phryn and sunbathing my DH is so pleased whenever I complain about some pregnancy symptom too. He was devastated by the MC and every little gripe or moan reminds him that I'm still pregnant.

Today in the park there was a baby in a pram and I asked DS "where's the baby?" He started to point at the pram, then stopped and laughed and pointed at my belly. Bit spooky! We haven't mentioned it to him, nor did we last time, and he hasn't been around any pregnant women to understand that that's where a baby would be!

Just as I'm typing, my clock has turned to midnight so 5+2 now yay Grin

I should have said the article focusses on one particular aspect of her research but it does give a good idea of her style, which probably doesn't suit everyone. It is pretty clear what I have been googling! It will be very obvious if I am not drinking, so want to know my options! The GP on friday seemed very relaxed about it actually, also said cold meats were fine which is nice for my lunch options. I had hoped to feel a bit more like this is happening after seeing the GP but not really. It is such a waiting game, it is driving me crazy, good to know everyone else is going through the same thing. Wishing everyone patience!

DS is 3 sunbathing. It really shocked me and I asked him again, and he pointed again and said "baby" then went running off to the swing.

I'm struggling to sleep too, and been having weird dreams and waking up all achey where I've slept funny. Not fun, but I'M PREGNANT so who cares Smile

I haven't bothered to see my GP this time htf2 . When I did last time (after getting pregnant on the pill!) he made me feel stupid and it felt like a pointless trip. Just going to wait til I see the midwife, less than 2 weeks for me Smile

Aghhh! Had horrific and vivid dream that I'd miscarried last night. Totally not the case but feeling quite wobbly now Sad . Stupid dreams - I have so many ridiculous ones I know it doesn't mean anything beyond it's my brain processing a real fear I have but still - not a fun way to wake upEnvy .

fortywinx · 06/10/2014 09:05

Morning everyone! We had a bit of turn up for the books when we went to my OH's brother's birthday meal. He and his wife announced that they are also expecting! And my OH's initial desire to keep it quiet from family until Xmas went out the window. OH's dad looked a bit shellshocked as our due dates are only about 6 weeks apart, so he's getting two grandkids within a very short space of time!
In other news, I have woken up this morning, full of cold, feeling some nausea and knowing that I have to stay at work until 7pm today for a meeting :(

notsoold · 06/10/2014 09:34

Htf I am with you on the waiting game. The time drags on and on and until this first trimester is gone I won't be able to relax....
Weird dreams here as well. And I keep waking up every 2 hours or so!!!
Shattered and ds2 is full of beans!!!

newbie6 · 06/10/2014 10:05

Hello all

Can I join? I'm due no 2 on 15th June so literally just found out! I am type 1 diabetic so not the easiest of pregnancies but as long as I keep a close eye on my blood sugars I'm hoping all will be fine.

I have a DS who is 21 months and a delight so cannot wait to see him as a big brother ??

Wishing us all happy, healthy pregnancies! I've got the dreaded nausea and if I'm anything like last time, it lasts till 15 weeks for me but maybe this bambino will be kinder, ha ha!

X

Oh phryn that's really unpleasant, but like sunbathing says, at least it's a good symptom of pregnancy! It's my OH who's been having the unpleasant dreams (I have fairly vivid dreams most of the time anyway, and nothing nightmarish yet as far as I remember). I've not got insomnia, I'm exhausted and sleeping a fair bit, although I have found myself waking up, wide awake before my alarm goes off which is very unlike me!

I know sunbathing! I didn't say anything though, I was a bit shaky and thinking 'don't give it away!!' and then OH put his arm around me after all the congratulations and went, "Well, not to steal your thunder but..." and that was that. I'm kind of relieved as I find keeping big secrets a bit exhausting, especially one so big and that's constantly on my mind!

Welcome newbie! Congrats on your BFP :)

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/10/2014 12:21

I'm such a disaster zone currently. I'm doing myself huge damage, by walking into things, generally falling over and this mornings extravaganza ended in a superman dive across the kitchen pulling a stomach muscle and whacking both knees, while on the phone to a customer. I also drenched myself in cold ginger tea! At least it was cold though ;-)

Hi! Can I join too? My EDD 3 June 2015, I'm 34 and I have a daughter born in June 2014. I was part of the MN antenatal group last time and it is so good to have some support from people experiencing the same things at the same time (even now). Mainly a MN lurker for the last year or so but know I will be on more now the insomnia has kicked in. It really kept me sane in the depths of the night last night!

Like a few of you I have had an early miscarriage in the past so am quite nervous but trying to enjoy it. Feeling quite excited - kept it a secret from my husband until yesterday as we were having a night away and going to keep quiet from everyone else for a while longer. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone and looking forward to hearing what you are all up to!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/10/2014 13:14

Wow zac! That's wonderful news. I had a 20 month gap between my 2 eldest many moons ago. Honestly it's great and a 12 month gap is fabulous having them grow up together so closely. I found it easier once I'd had number2. Smile

It's nice to know that you think it is a nice age gap Mrs E. This time round I think I will mainly be worrying about how my daughter is going to take it and hoping they will get along. First time around, I was so focussed on getting through the labour that I didn't think too much about actually having a baby in the house!

It's interesting to hear quite a few people are having weird dreams. I didn't know that was a symptom but now I think about it mine have been odd in the last week (when I have managed to be asleep!)

Also - going to order Expecting Better. Sounds like a really interesting read (….actually mainly just sold on the synopsis that seems to suggest I may be able to eat sushi - major pregnancy craving last time and I am sure this time will be the same!!)
