I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

Glad it's helping sunbathing Smile I think it is normal, I mean there's things happening down there, but I did proper freak myself out very briefly I have to say. Emotional rollercoaster to say the least!
I also don't know how I'm going to keep quiet from family but OH wants to wait to tell his family until we've had the 12 week scan. I've told my sister and a couple close friends for support anyway though.

I've just had a really lazy nap! Think I could quite happily spend the next 8 months asleep. Grin

I completely understand that sunbathing. I on the other hand don't feel sick at all Grin in fact I don't feel pregnant at all. I keep checking the tests back. The only thin I've had is exhaustion, insomnia and a bubbly tummy. Few shooting sharp pains and a bit of cramping. I polished off s plate of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for lunch and having roast for tea, absolutely starving. Not me at all pregnant!

notsoold · 05/10/2014 13:57

haribo lovely to see you here!! I got your message but had to delete it straight away as I haven't told dh yet and we share the account!!! That is the reason why I haven't shared on the fb board. How can I share without him knowing?
To all thanks for the welcome. Haribo and I both had dcs and we are part of the same post natal club.....
perpetual the same here. I was at a party and choosing carecully what to eat as ppl don't know yet.
forty I had 3 episodes of very sharp pain and now he is having a nap after a feed!!! Is there an epu you could go? I went and they were very helpful!!!

Haven't even told dh. Really hard because we talk a lot but waiting a bit longer....

I am tentatively joining too. Got a BFP on Monday in John lewis loos after buying cheap test after AF was late, rather shocked, tested again at home, still shocked.. took digital one.. DH shocked! We have been kind of trying for over two years but I am nearly 40 and have 2 boys 5 and 7 so was more hoping than anything else as DS1 took a while to conceive too. This month we dtd and then DH went away with work hence the bigger shock...... I must ovulate early... Tentative due to my age and a little scared tbh. Due date of 3rd June so am 5w+ 4? . I am not telling friends or family yet until after 3 month scan due to age risk and am looking into various scan options at the moment as seems more complex than when DS's were born.

Handling the non drinking with a not so alert wingman (DH) hasn't helped my SIL from probing on Friday night during dinner when my wine glass wasn't poured. ( we had a failed strategy of swapping glasses to appear like I was drinking). I really don;t want to tell anyone until scans.. so I didn't and just said I was finishing my glass of G&T (well tonic). Anyhow, some cramping at odd times during the day, no sickness yet, but am expecting it to start soon as was bad with both DS's but I think it started at 6-7 weeks.
Oh please could someone add me to stats - 39, 2DS's (5 and 7), no appointments booked (still in shock!).

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 05/10/2014 14:53

Hi, I'd love to join as have poas last night and unexpected BFP! Slightly older mum at 34, #4 for me dd13, ds10,dd4 and first baby for dp and I. Totally unplanned too, I'm still in shock!

ots · 05/10/2014 14:57

Welcome and congratulations newbies :) .

I'm feeling really pregnant now. Despite feeling rough, I'm loving the fact that I feel just like I did in my pregnancy with DS, and not at all how I felt with the baby we lost. I'm taking that as a good sign Grin

I had a coffee this morning after a restless night, and it made me feel awful. I think my body is starting to get used to no caffeine so was a bit of a shock. Will be avoiding it altogether from now on. Does anyone have any good natural ways of managing a rubbish night's sleep?

5+1 today :)

Ots power naps might get you through. If not proper food like bananas or eggs.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/10/2014 16:26

Welcome smug, what do you mean slightly older? I'm 34! Grin With no6. How exciting congratulations Thanks

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/10/2014 16:29

And welcome chaos! Wow what a lovely surprise to find in John Lewis. Grin I'm not sure where to start the ball rolling either. Wink

cuphat · 05/10/2014 16:56

Exactly, Mrs and smug - I'm 34 too (will be 35 when I have baby) and it's only my second Grin

Congratulations to all the newbies.

I am having to have a nap every afternoon to keep going, and I'm not normally a nap person. Easier for me as I'm at home with DD. But when I was at work last year I'd come home and have a power nap.

Congratulations notsoold, chaos and smug. A happy and healthy 9 months to you all xx

cuphat I'm in Lancs. We have a dubious system where I live in a little town, but the nearest hospital is in a big town. So we share all the same facilities, but have a lot less funding so do not get the same care (no NT scans, very limited breastfeeding support etc despite it all being on site... completely ridiculous and frustrating)
perpetual 11 weeks does sound late for booking in. We don't have ours until 9 weeks here and I thought that was late. With regards to telling people my advice would be that if your friend is a good friend who you would tell whatever the outcome then I wouldn't wait to tell her.
buba I didn't use hypnobirthing but did read a hypnobirthing book whilst pregnant which I found really useful.
sunbathing I have a cough and cold and have found if I do a big cough or sneeze I get a shooting pain in lower abdomen. Literally lasts half a second. I pretty sure I remember having the same with my DD as I got a cold straight away then too. Glad your tests are getting darker and you've got a bit of reassuring sickness.
forty some cramping is usual in early pregnancy, there is lots going on down there. Fingers crossed it doesn't get worse. Awww hope you've enjoyed little baby snuggles today with your friend.
ots glad you're feeling positive with the sickness. It is nice to have some sort of reassurance isnt it?

I think my sickness is definitely pregnancy related. I'm finding that it goes away for a bit when I eat. This morning I had to get back in bed until my hubs brought me toast as standing upright was making me very nauseous. I don't really want morning sickness!
I've gone off tea and coffee. Drinking lots of warm blackcurrant for my cold!

MrsBeeBeeBee · 05/10/2014 17:19

Also, I had Gas and Air last time... but has it confiscated by the midwife! How rude! I think I was more concerned about the G&A than having a baby Grin

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 05/10/2014 17:27

Thanks ladies, you're making me feel more youthful already! Although it's still sinking in here, and unplanned, it's amazing how quickly the worry of something going wrong sets it. It will feel a long 12 weeks, I'm already thinking of a private scan at 8 weeks!

cuphat · 05/10/2014 17:31

You're not near me then, MrsBee. It seems unfair that you don't have as much funding. I think the lack of NT scans here is just policy.

I was lucky that breastfeeding support was brilliant here, I had a tough time but there was lots of support (still going and DD is 16 months - about to stop now though so I get a bit of a break!).

I would also have nausea if I didn't eat regularly, but I make sure that I eat (protein especially) regularly. I'm not eating much, just little and often. I've always felt sick first thing in the morning if I don't eat pretty soon after waking up (not just during pregnancy).

Why on earth was your gas and air confiscated?! DD was discovered to be breech at 38 weeks so I had an elective c-section. Turned out well as she was massive (and they had predicted an average size baby for me as my bump was average). An amazing experience, which I'm hoping to repeat again.

Phryn · 05/10/2014 18:42

Hey ladies - hope those who are feeling ropey have had good weekends and any with worrying symptoms are feeling better.

Think I might be starting to get a bit nauseous. Definately noticing everything smells, and some smells I usually like (like the bakery section in Aldi) nearly made me wretch earlier today. DH was delighted though as he knows it's a good pregnancy symptom Shock Envy

notsoold · 05/10/2014 18:42

smug feel young....I am 43 and had a dc at 42!!

Phryn · 05/10/2014 18:43

Should probably add he's normal very sympathetic but the mc hit him hard and he's so pleased at anything that indicates that I'm really pregnant again Smile

notsoold · 05/10/2014 18:43

Although I wrote 44 on my initial post....going mental already...
