binkybunny · 25/09/2014 06:16

Sorry to hear it's all slowed down ldt but it's better to have dp there just in case!

Wonder how Yellow is getting on?

puppythedog · 25/09/2014 06:43

Congratulations Porcito! Grin

Good luck Wellies.

BadgerInBury · 25/09/2014 06:46

Congratulations Portico! And good luck, Yellow... exciting times!

binkybunny · 25/09/2014 06:56

Woken up with a swollen gum that's giving me ear ache, can anyone recommend something to put on it? Would normally use bonjela and ibuprofen, but obv not when pregnant Sad

MundayCakes85 · 25/09/2014 07:10

Congratulations Portico looking forward to a proper update.
Good luck Yellow hope things are going ok for you.
Ldt sorry things have slowed down, but best keep DH close now Smile
Binky something cold or hot on your gum might take away the pain, maybe a cup of tea, with a couple of paracetamol. Poor you Sad

fedupofrainydays · 25/09/2014 07:12

ltd both my labours have done somethjng like that... Had contractions for a night then stop or slow for a day then come back with a vengeance!! Try lots of walking / gravity assisting stuff today and sit on a ball to tilt pelvis forward and move side to side to get baby to wriggle down through pelvis. Think about trying to open up pelvis and move baby through. Helps with the psychology of it all.

It's very frustrating but reckon your baby is only a day or two away!

fedupofrainydays · 25/09/2014 07:13

binky sorry about the gum. Maybe try ice cube to numb it and paracetamol?

binkybunny · 25/09/2014 07:33

Had a coffee which seems to have helped ease it but no paracetamol in the house, they are in my hospital bag which is in dh's car, I think a trip to Boots I'd called for. I hate tooth ache type pain, keep poking at it!

ohthegoats · 25/09/2014 07:49

Oops, I've used bonjela since being pregnant.

Me23 · 25/09/2014 07:50

portico congratulations Smile looking forward to your birth story how many weeks were you?

yellow best of luck no going back now.

mum2kiss · 25/09/2014 07:51

Oooh Sorry about the tooth pain binky. Could it be an abscess?

Dd has decided that she has no need to listen to me this morning...makes for a nice stress free start to the day!

mum2kiss · 25/09/2014 07:53

Just had a thought...those of you waiting on the arrival of your babes can take me dd if you like? Just until its born to get yourself prepared lol!

ohthegoats · 25/09/2014 07:59

I think I'm pretty much on for one good day, with energy and not feeling frap, followed by one bad day with anger and aching. Today is a bad one already. Might just give up on all house stuff and go to my mums.

binkybunny · 25/09/2014 08:00

Thanks for the offer mum but think I'll give it a miss, might realise what I've let myself in for and its too late now!

SweetPeaPods · 25/09/2014 08:11

Mum2kiss that's a great idea. Anyone near the East Mids are welcome to my ds for a few hours. He's walking and everything so great for keeping active to get baby in position Wink

YellowWellies · 25/09/2014 08:13

Well my waters broke at 11pm, got to hospital by 12.30 (we did lots of faffing sorting out childcare and making sure my sister knew where everything was), got monitored and scanned and the beloved wee feck has gone breech. Everytime they are scanned s/he goes breech! Think they've gone transverse over night. This meant the quietest night in AGES for me in terms of contractions as the pressure in my belly has eased.

If s/he hasn't turned by 9am we'll be having a section. I thought I'd be gutted but last night after my waters went I realised I didn't care how they decide to come out and that labouring at the end of a long day without sleep wasn't something I was relishing. I got about 4 hours last night. I could probably handle labour now, but I've got my head around a CS so might be a bit Shock if baby has turned again.

My uterus must have OCD - it runs to a strict timeline my waters went with j at 35+6 and this time at 35+4!

SweetPeaPods · 25/09/2014 08:13

Porcito congratulations! Thanks
Good luck to those today.

SweetPeaPods · 25/09/2014 08:14

Yellow what a little monkey you have there! Hope everything goes well today.

Kirstipops · 25/09/2014 08:48

Aww congratulations Porcito! Looking g forward to hearing the name you agreed on!
Yellow good luck with however Little Wellies decides to make it's way into the world today.
What a grim and grey day it is here, meeting a friend for lunch and can't be bothered trying to squidge into maternity clothes that aren't fitting me anymore, ruddy low bump!
Ldt how are you feeling this morning?

hefner · 25/09/2014 08:55

Congratulations porcito and good luck to yellow and ldt.

Today might be my last chance to get things done, as I've got dd at home tomorrow and the baby is due on Monday. I'm determined to get a work related thing finished so I can relax over the weekend, but I'm currently sulking because I don't want to do it!

ldt87 · 25/09/2014 09:06

I'm feeling OK, exhausted from being up all night and a bit disheartened that it's not started. Just need to wait and see I guess. After accepting that I may go over, being teased with the possibility of having him now is a killer!

STIGZ · 25/09/2014 09:09

Flowers for you porcito, so happy for you!

Wow yellow good luck for today and cant wait to see your wee impatient baba" Grin

Cant beleive baby's are coming so quick .., i think im still in denial as i still have so much i want to do before she is here but i know everything will be irrelevant once she does come .., im thinking im maybe nesting ? Wish OH would get the nesting instict .,, he is absolutly shattered from work and i have a "list" of things he needs to do but its not getting done at a fast enough pace for me, trying my hardest to patient and understanding Hmm we have three weeks max until c/section but i deffo think i will go into labour before then .., so i just want everything done by the end of next week just incase, it will deffo not get done once baby is here so the countdown is on !!!

CellyD · 25/09/2014 09:53

Congratulations Porcito! Good luck Ldt, it doesn't sound like you've got long to wait... Yellow however you're little one arrives, you'll be having cuddles before the weekend, how exciting.

Mrsthedog sorry I've never had the starburst cold sensation before, maybe other have?

Finally getting organised with 10 days to go (probably much longer as DD was over a week late), I packed my hospital bag and baby's. Only a bag for DD to do and that will only take 5 mins. All the real babies on the thread have given me the necessary kick up the bum I needed.

ohthegoats · 25/09/2014 10:02

Congratulations Porcito - I'm dying to hear what name you managed to convince your partner to use after all his 'interesting' suggestions!

And good luck Yellow - I suppose if it was CS, then you're a mummy again already!

Can't escape to mum's: one builder, two plumbers and a tiler have all arrived today, I need to be here for question answering. Aagh. The sewing machine is going to have to come out as a stress relief measure. THE NOISE... (they are currently smashing up the cast iron waste pipe from the upstairs bathroom - so no toilet can be used today, nice.. I'm going to be back and forth from Sainsburys toilets all day).

fedupofrainydays · 25/09/2014 10:15

Similar here goats
I've no water and the NOISE! Newborns sleep through it all but not me. And he wouldn't settle last night so was on and off the boob for two hours between 10 and 12 last night so am feeling particularly special.
We too have builder, plumbers, carpenter, painter, and tilers in. Just want them to get the F out my house now. DH is livid as they seem to have 'lost' some shower parts that were delivered weeks ago.

I'm just in a haze of tiredness and no water so I can't flush the loo or shower! Thank god DH filled up the kettle before they turned it all off!!
