Just Shagging 12th Thread for graduated viroids

FurryScoob · 16/09/2014 16:51

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! smile

I feel ILL today for the first day, had a wave of sickness when I was seeing DD into nursery and it took all I had not to be sick on her Confused I'm working until 6:30 too then have horses to sort as DM is away so I have to struggle through! Moan winge cry

minimooo · 17/09/2014 08:47

Glad scan went well could that must have been very reassuring.

Hope you're having a better day today kato Smile

I've still got constant nausea and sickness. The meds I got from the doctor do help, but I still get sick on them. And they make me really drowsy. Ah well, I'm kind of getting used to it now, so not feeling quite so sorry for myself! Plus it means I get to lie on the couch watching films a lot, so there is a silver lining Grin

Leela5 · 17/09/2014 08:49

min lots of deep breaths and remembering it's not the end of the world if you don't pass. Remember your observation skills. Good luck!

lauren do you have a friend who could help with horses? Are they in at night? How often do you exercise them? I love my boy but I'm so tired in quite relieved he's on loan although I miss cuddles :(

I had bit of a sicky feeling this morning but it's gone and I'm just back to the wind.

minimooo · 17/09/2014 08:57

Oh sorry to hear that lauren, hope it wears off for you in the next few hours. It's a really horrid feeling. Hope it goes ok with the horses later. (Echoing la) is there anyone who could lend a hand with the horses?

RPopz · 17/09/2014 09:07

Good luck Min

Snigger at Zy - My mind was in the gutter too Wink That's certainly a novel way of asking!! .

I don't know if I was more regular at the start La but I did notice that when I had to go I had to go like right that second!! Shock There didn't seem to be much warning haha!! Hmm

Haha Laura WTF?? I think I must be one of those people too cos I would have lost it too... licking cakes? Why!? Lol. And the less said about stuffed badgers the better Grin

I was always terrified telling people in the early days. I felt like every time I told someone I was jinxing myself! Only told a couple of close friends and family before 12 week scan.

Sorry to those feeling poorly. Def embrace the second trimester! x

JuniDD · 17/09/2014 09:50

minion, same as pis. I had to reverse around a corner about 10 mins in, hit the kerb and thought "that's that" but I passed (2nd time around).

I'm off to meet an old colleague who I haven't seen for a year now. Feeling a bit weird about how different I look. At least it's baby and not cake!

Nessalina · 17/09/2014 09:58

Weird things to read first thing in the morning: why would you lick a cake? Why would you buy a dead badger?!
Lol Grin
Yep. The men folk are mental!! I would have got the rage over the cake thing too - cheeky bugger!

Ooh driving test Min - how exciting! Shock I passed on my fourth attempt so not sure I'm the best person to give advice!! The only thing I'd say is, if you know you've done something a bit daft, missed a mirror check, or stalled, don't panic! It's likely to only be a minor, so refocus and don't let it derail you. Also, I highly recommend rush hour for tests - you usually get taken down quieter roads to avoid the traffic! I got a major on the same roundabout (4 lanes, full of knobbers, pure evil) on my first three tests, last test was 8am so we didn't go on it and I passed Grin

My stomach has been hard to predict throughout. Alternately blocked and free flowing! Confused

I loved telling people, but only after the 12 week scan and nifty had come back ok. First time round we told too many people and I'm still avoiding some that I didn't want to tell about the loss (still need a new hairdresser!!). Then we had the horrible time of telling even though we knew it was likely to go wrong because we weren't sure.
This time it was like, all is good!! So I really relished telling people in person as I saw them Smile Then we put the 20 week scan pic on Facebook to catch anyone we hadn't seen already. Smile

Minion · 17/09/2014 10:16

Oh ballsacks, I've booked it for half 11 as roads would be quiet, was that a dick move? I figured they'd only be learners and the people who are on day off on the road at that time.
I was going to do an early slot cause the chances of driving far is minimal...
Ahh well, she lives, she learns.
I've already got it in my mind to treat the first test as a fail so I'm not too het up about it.
The worst thing where I live is bleeding cyclists and pedestrians who cross roads metres from a crossing... Getting the road rage already thinking about it!
Grrrr

laurenamium · 17/09/2014 10:22

La there's no one to help with the horses until Monday. I think I've worn myself out with the move. I moved all 4 and all of their stuff totally on my own on Monday and Tuesday, filling the car with their stuff and just going backwards and forwards. So I think I'm paying for it now! They're all out on a night so it should be low maintenance. Only the smallest one keeps escaping Confused so I'm going to have to bring him in on a night from tonight to make sure he's safe. Need to go buy bed max and haylage at some point today around work!

Me and DP are still not talking Hmm

Mini I hope you feel better soon!!

Leela5 · 17/09/2014 10:57

min you'll be fine don't worry :) just breathe and pause to think before you do anything, don't rush x

lauren that's an awful lot for just you to do. If I were close if give you a hand. Is there any way you could see about a sharer couple of times a week for one of them at least? My boy hated having a sharer but it works so well for some people. Make sure you ask for help lifting bedmax and haylage they are both very heavy. Good that they're mostly out that's helpful. Are they quite good to handle? Mines quite strong sometimes but on ground he's easy so wouldn't pull me over.

FurryScoob · 17/09/2014 11:05

Ooooo cake licking is so wrong, he didn't deserve to go to the party!

minion I did my test at 11.44 & passed first time Shock treated it as a practise, didn't think I'd pass & was totally convinced I'd failed because examiner kept making me pull over & then off again. Shook for hours after he said I'd passed!

Anyone bought a 'Ewan the dream sheep'? I keep stroking them in shops but not decided whether to bother getting 1.

OP posts:
Leela5 · 17/09/2014 11:06

I think you dp needs to get over it lauren can you tell him it's pregnant woman prerogative to scream about anything she wants.

4 horses and moving yards is heavy going - moving one was difficult for me must stop buying him stuff his wardrobe is bigger than mine

Take care of yourself and don't try to do too much x

RPopz · 17/09/2014 11:20

Haha, I'd never heard of this Ewan character til last week and now he's popping up all the time! Grin Is he cute? Wink

Blimey, take it easy Laura. Its easy to think you can carry on as normal in those early days but your body is usually pretty good at convincing you otherwise! Horses sound hard work. I struggle getting my ass of the sofa to walk the dog at the minute... poor boy Confused

Nessalina · 17/09/2014 11:38

I've got the sheep on my 'pie in the sky stuff I don't need but want' Amazon list! Grin

Min - it really depends on the area, if you've gone with your gut you're probably right! When's the big day?

minimooo · 17/09/2014 11:49

Wow lauren that's a lot to do on your own. Hope you can take it easy for a few days after today!

min I also did my test at 11ish on a weekday and passed first time. I found it so much easier it being quiet on the roads. You'll be fine I'm sure!

Leela5 · 17/09/2014 11:49

Googling Ewan the sheep

littleluna89 · 17/09/2014 12:06

Ewan is a gift from the gods!!! You need him in your life!! I love and cherish ours, and am in the process of trying to sneak him off DD. We couldn't get her to sleep at night at all and then we started playing you tube clips of Ewan and she slept like the dead, we went all over the city on a Ewan hunt the next day and he's been a part of our life ever since!

ZylaB · 17/09/2014 12:28

lauren do you have anyone nearby who can help? Where abouts are you??

min it'll be fine! just relax about it. I was too tense first time so didn't drive properly, second I was more relaxed and passed, so just chill, what will be will be :)

With regards to my gutter mind I showed DH my tip of the day from my app, it's about pg women often wanting more sex. And we've only DTD once in 15 weeks, think I need to 'get back on the horse' now I don't feel so sick!! ;)

wilmabedrock · 17/09/2014 12:34

I have still never seen Ewen the dream sheep. My view would be that the less you use to get them to sleep the better as then they aren't reliant on anything. Obviously if they aren't sleeping once they're here and you need help, go for it, but you might not need anything.

A dead badger, are you serious? That would not make me want to drink in their bar.

Min I haven't done it myself but have a friend who swears by visualisation. Just imagine yourself doing all the manouveres successfully and passing the test. I thought I had failed mine when reversing round a corner as thought I hit the kerb. Then I made lots of minor mistakes as it put me off. But turns out it was just a drain so I managed to pass.

Minion · 17/09/2014 13:10

Well girls, it turns out that for me, listening to the music helps me drive better! It must put me off the fear or something.
All manoeuvres completed excellently and I truly believe I can actually drive now! (Which is good seeing as though I've got a month before the big T).
Soo chuffed with myself really.

Yes yes to Ewan, everyone I know, loves him something chronic.
I'll be purchasing hopefully, or put it on the Chrimbo list.. X

Girls, thanks for the good words and PMA! It means a lot x

laurenamium · 17/09/2014 13:21

Aw thanks for the concern Thanks it does mean a lot when DP is ignoring me!

Ill get the men in the shop to put heavy stuff in the car la Smile I'm in the north east. I have managed to finish work an hour early later which means that I won't be in the dark at the stables later and also means I can go to the horse shop after work as long as it doesn't close early! My friend (also a childminder) came round with her tribe for a party lunch for a birthday of one of my mindees so it was nice to have some adult conversation. I've managed to keep dinner down too so I've perked up!

Min when is the test date or are you not telling us until after!

Minion · 17/09/2014 14:42

I'm gonna keep it on the DL till then as I'll add too much pressure to myself, I've even got a mock test set up but I don't know when it will be till the day.
I figured if I don't know there's no time to stress myself out over it... But the real thing is roughly in a months or so.

I wish I had a horse, so jealous of all you pony owning folk

ZylaB · 17/09/2014 14:47

Not had a horse for a few years, I miss it! I've already told DH I hope this little one wants to ride so I can go with her hehe.

Leela5 · 17/09/2014 15:19

I'm hoping to get my boy back when we return to Scotland. Can't afford him down south as everyone insists on them being in at night. Hoping to get a companion Shetland to keep him company that my little ones can ride

wilmabedrock · 17/09/2014 15:37

Why do they have to be in at night La? Are they soft southern ponies?! Wink

I could fall asleep standing up right now. Roll on 6 o'clock.
