Hey Misty, I'm in the April thread too, recognised your name! I'm the opposite, thought we were march but we are April now, but ive stuck here because these guys are awesome.

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 25/09/2014 22:14

Hey everyone

I finally did a Facebook announcement this week as it was the easiest way to tell all my close friends & family , They are all so happy as they know I have been trying for 8 years Smile

My Dm on the other hand is insistent that I will fail miserably at been a parent & she will have to pick up all the pieces , so I'm loving the vote of confidence from her Sad
It's not like I haven't raised a child before as I have my adopted Ds that I have raised since the day he was born ffs & he is still in one piece Angry

I'm still not completely convinced I'm pregnant it just doesn't seem real at all , I even bought a few outfit to see if that helped but I keep looking at them thinking who are they for Confused

Sorry for the mini rant just feel about ready to explode Blush.

fishfingerSarnies · 25/09/2014 22:53

Oh panda don't listen to you're dm, why would you fail 2nd time round? People, especially close family do come out with some shit to make you feel bad, I like to think they don't mean it...
My dgranmother is spectacularly good at making me feel like a twat and a useless parent and I know for a fact I'm a better mum than she ever was.
Are you showing at all panda, it will get more real as you get bigger and when you start to feel proper kicks.
I'm still struggling to feel happy about it, even feeling a couple of Flutters hasn't moved me to any emotion. Feel so guilty for feeling negative about this baby. It was so wanted.
I'm currently on the sofa trying to get the energy to go to bed! How can the idea of going to bed seem so exhausting.

Butterpuff · 26/09/2014 07:40

My movement feels like Queef to the left around belly button level. No butterflies more like little soft pokes or the bubbles and pops that people talk about.....maybe I should eat less rice crispies!

Butterpuff · 26/09/2014 07:43

Panda family seem to be the worst at saying the wrong things, or maybe we just care what they say more. She is obviously wrong, you have already proved that. Maybe she is just hoping she has to pick up the pieces, a little bit of jealousy?

M27J5M · 26/09/2014 08:10

You can pm me your email address for fb invite Smile sorry don't know who asked but I'm here!

1 day till the big move and I feel dead :( backs in agony, shattered and just wanna curl up in a wee ball and sleep till it's all over and done eith xx

m33r · 26/09/2014 09:09

butter and queef same for me - to the left and low of belly button and more like little stabs than 'flutters'. 15+1 and waiting to see mw hopefully to hear heart beat but have been warned I might be a bit early (so why book me in this early!?!). Anyway, really going to hear it as if not, even though they've told me I might not, I'll be beside myself!! Wish me luck.

ZebraZeebra · 26/09/2014 10:02

fishfinger sorry but your description of your daughter needing a poo that required lots of handholding and cuddling really made me laugh. Sometimes DS (still in nappies) has a poo that really makes him sweat. He goes onto all fours and rocks back and forth...sometimes over his ball and it looks like he's giving birth over a birthing ball Grin

panda your mum is so horrid! Even if you hadn't been successfully raising your adopted son for years now, that's no thing to say to any pregnant woman!

17 weeks today, terrible insomnia whilst DS sleeps 13 hours a night. Oh sweet irony...

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 26/09/2014 10:36

I just try my best to ignore her tbh Smile

Yeah I'm showing now it just doesn't feel real at all Confused

Gudgyx · 26/09/2014 11:03

m33r, I dont think you are too early to hear the heartbeat. Well I'm 16+6, have been listening to my boys heart beat since I got my doppler about a week and a half ago.

Good luck at mw

m33r · 26/09/2014 15:57

Thanks gudgy. Heard heartbeat no problem as you said!!! Was great. Recorded it too (mw not thrilled with this request!). So pleased. Sure I can feel even more today now too... Grin

persepolis123 · 26/09/2014 16:12

Welcome misty

Glad you got to hear the heartbeat m33r. Amazing isn’t it?

panda that is absolutely awful what your mum said. Ignore ignore ignore.

I have my next midwife appointment on Tuesday and have just booked a gender scan for Wednesday. So excited now. It will seem so much more real when we know if it’s a girl or boy. Will be good to be able to tell DS whether he’s having a little brother or sister too, even though when you ask him if he wants one his reply is a stern ‘Nooooo’ Grin

lotsoftoast · 26/09/2014 16:31

Gender scan tomorrow for us!
DS (22 months) has started kissing my tummy....it is beyond cute!

m33r · 26/09/2014 16:46

It was amazing perse. Made me seriously consider a Doppler but pretty sure I'd never get anything done and if I ever couldn't find the hb...

So jealous of people getting gender scans BUT it does make me think time is passing if others in the thread are at that point!! So exciting! Any feelings or preference perse or lots (sorry I know we covered this a whole ago but I forget!) x

The general consensus is a wee girl. Will update tomorrow afternoon, around 3ish

persepolis123 · 26/09/2014 20:42

Nearly everyone seems to want it to be a girl. I keep changing my mind. I would like a little girl but a boy would be better for practical reasons (we still have all of DS's clothes so wouldn't need to buy much, and they will have to share a room). Plus DS is absolutely amazing so another little boy like him would be great too. Trying not to set my heart on one or the other because I don't want to be disappointed. They are all little miracles.

3isthemajicnumber · 26/09/2014 21:03

Reading all your posts makes me wobble about not finding out again. Nearly.
Haven't known sex of either of my dc's. I have to say it was massively worth it with my ds that moment was gold. Had awful delivery with dd and wasn't told sex of baby for about 30mins though.
Dh would like to find out. Hmm.

kittenmamma · 26/09/2014 21:03

I could not care less, a girl would be lovely because all my friends are having boys, and we could steal all the stuff from family as they all have girls, and the exact opposite the other way, a boy would be lovely because all the family have girls answe ccould steal stuff from friends as they all have boys! Personal preference I really have none, though I have a girly feeling. I'm miles off all this though, still over a week till my 12 week scan!

Treadlightly · 26/09/2014 21:16

Hello all! Can I join you
I think I'm 15 weeks tomorrow but my dates keep changing so I'm not sure. Edd is 18/03/15 or maybe 26/03 :)

I have a 4 year old dd and was ttc for 2 1/2 years which was hell. Clomid worked in the end for us.

Still don't really believe I'm finally pregnant it even though I deffo have a little bump!

Pinksun12 · 27/09/2014 06:27

Welcome treadlightly

3isthemagic we didn't find out either with both children and like you I absolutely loved the moment when dh told me it was a boy. Especially with ds2 because he was an ELCS, so I already knew time, place, the setting etc.

I'm pretty sure (and hoping!) it will be another boy. My two boys fight like hell but they are a little gang as well so I think a third would be a great addition. And for practical reasons I don't really care as I have no problems dressing a little girl in boys clothes in the beginning (to be honest my boys have quite a bit of purple and pink anyway....)
But girls names could be a problem, there's nothing we both like...

PickledPorcupine · 27/09/2014 07:26

Good morning everyone. Hope you all have a good weekend Smile

fishfingerSarnies · 27/09/2014 07:45

Morning, god what a night.
Went to bed to discover a massive spider on my wall near the bed cue crying, heart palpations, difficulties breathing, I'm so bloody scared of them it's ridiculous any way an hour later I managed to get up the courage to hoover it up. I'm usually too scared to get close enough to kill them or throw them out.
Then my dd was up multiple times in the night with a stinking cold and temperature I'm feeling exhausted and sick this morning.
Dd and I are on the sofa under a duvet watching lady and the tramp!
How's everyone this morning.

smokeandglitter · 27/09/2014 10:10

Oh fish finger, that sounds awful!

I've got and had since beginning all the cold symptoms like blocked nose, sneezing etc. anyone else? And any ideas what helps?

I can feel potential movement under belly button above groin in more middle than left. Feeling better than I was, had awful sickness at 12 weeks but now 15 (today) starting to feel much more alive than I have for the past 10 or so weeks! I'm not as exhausted all the time - touch wood - either.

Names wise we are now looking for something more unusual. So pissed off Sebastian which I chose at 14 is now in top 20 but fingers crossed we'll find a lesser used name we like just as much! Also for girls, got one name in mind but again we'll see. Started saving for baby stuff but not buying yet, excited to start soon!

Guntons · 27/09/2014 10:30

Treadlightly hi! Our stories sound almost identical! I too have a 4 yo DS, would have liked another a bit sooner (suffered m/c a year ago) but now 16wks & having elective c/s around 14/3/15.
