Oh rainy thinking of you, I am sure all will be good. X

mum2kiss · 14/09/2014 13:17

When I spoke to the doc on the phone she seemed to think a pharmacist would just direct me to my gp because I'm preggers. Anusol has made no difference to them whatsoever!

Glad you've got your own room fedup. Would not be pleasant to have to labour on a ward!

JellyBeansHaveNoAgeLimit · 14/09/2014 13:23

Good luck Alfie and Fedup, will be thinking of you. Hope you are doing ok too Slide.

I think baby has dropped into my pelvis some more as feeling a lot of pressure whilst walking around now. Fun fun!

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 14/09/2014 13:26

Glad you're being looked after stigz and fedup.

Dr has now changed his mind. He was very confused as to why I couldn't feel the contractions so has decided to keep me in over night again for more wait and see. Grr. At least I got lunch though.

stigz DS was born at 34+5 and had no ill effects. He was straight with me on the ward and we were home 3 days later. Please try nit to worry.

SlideIn · 14/09/2014 13:32

Ooh! Wifi! Shock
Still here... started with pessary, got up to 3cm then stalled - influx of ladies in more need here & was left for almost 5hrs with just obs hurriedly happening. Pessary was in for 27hrs & contractions just tailed off. Things calmed down and they broke my waters at 4am today; this didn't start labour so now on syntocinon drip - with epidural as I was utterly exhausted & not in a good position to attempt without. Now having strong regular contractions, but if takes too long the consultant wants me to consider a CS. All the interventions I didn't want. But baby is ok for the moment, which is main thing.

Good luck Fedup, and Alfie! Smile

ExcitedCJ · 14/09/2014 13:49

Slide you are going to have a lovely wee healthy baby today or latest tomorrow. Good luck & try & rest. :)

ohthegoats · 14/09/2014 13:52

Oh my god, I missed a page! Good luck fed up and alfie.

All this early stuff is making me panic about not really being ready.. must check hospital bag this evening.

Pregnantagain7 · 14/09/2014 14:47

Wow slide nearly there now how exciting
mum2 I really suffer with piles they are evil def go to the docs in the morn but try vagasil (itchy fanjo cream) on them I know it sounds crazy but it has lidocaine in which numbs them I use it and it really really helps can't recommend it enough. You can get it in boots or supermarkets.

Pregnantagain7 · 14/09/2014 14:48

Sorry hadn't quite finished! My gp prescribed it for me last time I was pregnant so it's totally safe to use.

cabster · 14/09/2014 14:52

Go slide! Go slide!

fedupofrainydays · 14/09/2014 15:07

Hope all ok alfie and slide

Ds is vomiting again at home - it's a nightmare. Builders due back in tomorrow so we are packing off ds to my grandparents as we don't really know if DH will be around to look after him. And DH had to go to work tomorrow to handover (unless I give birth of course). Just burst in to tears on the mw as it's all too much and worried so much about the baby. It's not moving much but just listened to heart best and all ok bit going to put me on the monitor again to check

Lily31 · 14/09/2014 15:08

Wishing the best to everyone in hospital.

I have had a v busy but lovely weekend. My cousin has been staying and my friends threw me a lovely afternoon tea baby shower yesterday. I was so emotional as it was more than I ever expected. It's just what was needed after some really tough times work-wise.

My lo is also pushing into my ribs and down into my fanj. It does make me wonder where else it will grow for the next 6 weeks! No space left...

I've used witch hazel for piles but have also found they've eased by drinking shed loads of water and eating an almost intolerable amount of prunes. Someone mentioned resorting to going into the bath to poo. My mum did the same after giving birth due to the stitches and sensitivity. Might be worth a go.

Me23 · 14/09/2014 15:21

slide how exciting! Baby for you soon, make the most of the epidural and get some sleep while you can.

mum2 sorry to hear of you pile pain, I saw on another forum a woman in your situation who said cotton balls soaked in witch hazel and left in situ! Soothed and shrunk her piles away.

Good luck fedup and alfiebear and stigz sorry if I have forgotten anyone.

Also whoever asked about 38 week appt it's usually just a routine antenatal appt Bp,urine, check baby position etc.

STIGZ · 14/09/2014 15:28

fedup that is shit you are so stressed ... All of this will be a distant memory in a few weeks, but it cant be easy at all with all that on your mind ...Thanks for you xx

Me is it normal to have browny discharge after cervix check? .. Had a bit of bloody mucous last nite now its browny yellowish ? Paranoid i am now losing my mucous plugConfused

Me23 · 14/09/2014 15:44

stigz that sounds normal after an examination. However if any pain, bright red bleeding or you are worried don't hesitate to call triage. Hope things have settled for you now.

Captainmcgraw · 14/09/2014 16:03

Good luck all those with imminent babies! Thinking of you all and sending positive vibes.

binkybunny · 14/09/2014 16:19

Wow, could be quite an influx of babies soon, fedup try not to worry, easy said sat here but I'm sure everything will be ok!

I feel like I have lost an entire day today. Went to church this morning, ate lunch and have slept on the sofa all afternoon! it does mean I'll def not sleep tonight though. DH has spent the afternoon cutting out bunnies and mushrooms which I will paint and stick on the toy box. Can't wait to finish all the bits now, the nursery is getting there!

STIGZ · 14/09/2014 16:30

Thanks very much me .. Still getting quite alot of braxton hicks but they are not getting stronger, will be calling asap about any slight change.

JellyBeansHaveNoAgeLimit · 14/09/2014 18:09

You are in the best place fedup, as others have said 34+ weeks is practically done! You know your DS is safe at his grandparents, away from all the building rubbish. At least now your in hospital you don't have to deal with the building work. With any luck they will get their arses in gear and you can come home with baby and an almost finished house! Sending lots of positive vibes your way Smile

Hope you manage to get some rest slide, it must be overwhelming going down a route you weren't wanting or prepared for but you'll get a pretty awesome present at the end of it Smile. Make sure you get all the support you need after the birth if you are still feeling overwhelmed by it, you don't need to leave the hospital feeling like it all went wrong. The NHS provide an post natal counselling service to discuss exactly what happened & why it was necessary.

MundayCakes85 · 14/09/2014 18:28

Any babies yet?!?
Went and picked up my eBay baby bath and the bloke asked if I was having a baby then? Er no, I'm just massively fat and buying baby stuff Hmm
Busy day here- cooked some choc chip cookies for the freezer and now looking at my lovely pram sat in the corner of the room Grin

mum2kiss · 14/09/2014 18:53

Lol munday a mum at school pick up asked me if I'm expecting the other day...I said no lol!

binkybunny · 14/09/2014 19:13

I've had a few people asking when I'm due, been so tempted to say 'oh I'm not pregnant'. Only done it once earlier in pregnancy and the guy was so mortified I put him straight out of his misery Grin

ohthegoats · 14/09/2014 19:39

Boyfriend has just walked in with a beer in his hand. When do you think he's actually going to fucking get it? I can't say anything right this minute because it'll come out shouty and probably result in tears, but at this rate I'll end up kicking him out at delivery because he stinks of stale booze. Wonder if he'll get it then? Probably asked him 5 times to stop drinking and explained why. Selfish. Raaaaaah.

Lily31 · 14/09/2014 19:41

I love the variations between 'you're huge, that must be a big baby' to 'you look svelte foe 34 weeks'... No idea where I am on the bump scale!
