sinks please do carry on posting here. There might be the odd unmumsnetty hug, but we all know and "get" one another. I'm sorry to hear that GHJ is still struggling. It's early days though, and he is dealing with a lot physically and emotionally. Time does marvellous things in terms of healing, so I am sure that things will get better day by day.

draf but of course. Grin

bugs so many things about pregnancy are not fun, but you don't have long to go now. And you look fab. Don't worry about the post-pg weightloss. My view is that if you prioritise it, you will lose it. I'm 8 weeks pp, and a stone over my pre-preg weight. The rest (another stone and a half) came off without me doing anything at all, and remember I only had a 3lb baby and a small placenta, so not much of it was down to that. It somehow just melted away in the first 2-3 weeks. I'm ok with the last stone coming off slowly. I started going for brisk walks last week once I was signed off by the consultant to exercise after my CS and am going to ramp up to more exercise soon. My goal is to be back in my tailored work stuff when I go back in the New Year. Until then I'm going to keep stuffing the cake so loads of calories make their way through to centime, and just try to tone up what is there through exercise.

TheOriginalWinkly · 15/09/2014 18:05

Echoing the others about the weight. Granted I was fat to start with, but I'm back in my pre-pregnancy jeans comfortably now and I've been eating like a pig :) I've just started weight watchers now to start shifting the last of it (and MiniWink is only 10 weeks) and have really only been fit for long walks the last 2 weeks so I'm hoping to shift about a stone and a half by Christmas.

I haven't woken feeling refreshed since stimming. The trigger shot hcg always gives me insomnia and it only got worse since then!

Ginge it seems like we have followed almost identical patterns weight-wise. How are you feeling?

GingerScouse · 15/09/2014 22:02

I'm not too bad. Healing nicely and just about getting over the birth now. How are you recovering from the c-section?

eurochick · 16/09/2014 04:01

Glad to hear it. I'm healing pretty well. The scar is neat and the pain from the internal stitches is fading. I can't bear to touch the scar though. It feels really odd.

FrankelandFilly · 16/09/2014 07:39

For those of you struggling with sleep, I've recently been drinking this tea and am certainly feeling more rested when I wake up in the mornings. I'm not sure about it's use with breastfeeding/ pregnancy though, but I feel it's been helping me.

Bugs can you get a Drs appointment for your boil? Pregnant ladies/women who have recently given birth are supposed to be treated as high priority so you should be able to ask for a same day appointment.

I get mine in Tesco and I think Holland And Barrett sell them too. For me the nighttime tea doesn't work immediately, it takes a few days to build up in the system, IFYSWIM.

Fankletastic · 16/09/2014 11:42

Poor you Bugs. Can't say I'm looking forward to the last few weeks myself but it means you are that much closer to meeting buglet.

My left nipple leaked in the night! I woke up to a wet stain on my top which had gone crusty . Isn't this a bit early at 24 weeks? I took my bra out of the washing basket to have a look at the cups and yep, it was in there too! What to do hags??

bugs despite the whole newborn screaming for attention thing I honestly slept better after I had Faithlet! I loved lying back on my right side! You're so close now. Just keep focusing on the baby coming.

Sinks I'm thinking of you. I agree you should off load here because we know you, the ins and outs, better than Non-MNetty hugging folks. Let us know if there's anything practical we can do.

eurochick · 16/09/2014 18:51

frank am I supposed to put the tea in c's bottle to stop the little terror waking me up every hour? Wink

fankle I didn't leak at all before birth, but lots of my August AN group did, so it seems it is very common. Now, however, I am like a dripping tap...

GingerScouse · 16/09/2014 21:53

I didn't leak either, but if E pulls off due to my overactive let down she gets sprayed in the face by my boob fountain. Almost every time.

FrankelandFilly · 16/09/2014 21:58

Worth a try euro Wink

I didn't leak whilst pregnant, though I did manage to get a bit if colostrum out by giving my boobs a squeeze in the shower. After the birth was a different matter, I leaked all the time. It was more than a bit gross at times, nipples dripping while I tried to dry myself after a shower, soaking through countless breast pads every day.

FriendofDorothy · 16/09/2014 22:06

I woke The Mister up the other day when The Little Miss pulled off the boob and he was showered in warm boob juice. Lovely.

eurochick · 16/09/2014 23:02

I have to have a bra ready with pads already in place for after a shower or I cover my clean self in sticky milk. In the first weeks after the birth I also had knickers with a maternity pad lined up and had to race to get it all on before I leaked everywhere. Post partum life is pretty grim.

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/09/2014 08:37

Hey all! I've been AWOL for AGES. Hope bumps and baybees are all well. Will have a scroll back and a catch up as best as poss

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/09/2014 08:57

Congrats for baybees born in my absence...euro I think on last lurk you had just laid so glad to hear all is well
Sinks I'm so sorry to hear of your shitty shitty shitty news

TheOriginalWinkly · 17/09/2014 19:44

Grrrr. My friend has a new baby who hasn't regained her birthweight, and bf'ing is really painful. Her doctor had diagnosed her baby's tongue tie but told her they don't snip them and it wasn't even a problem!
