Pack your giant pants in your satchel and maternity pads in your pencil case, it's the antenatal thread for BESH graduates

In laws are here again and have done a bit of shopping for me (and continue to fill my house with tat). I've decamped with R to the spare room to let GHJ try and get uninterrupted sleep.

FrankelandFilly · 11/09/2014 19:52

Glad to hear GHJ is home, fingers crossed for answers soon.

I'm not bothering going back on the Pill, even if we weren't going to think about a second child straight away like Sinks I can't face screwing things around again with the artificial hormones.

TheOriginalWinkly · 11/09/2014 20:42

I put on a ton of weight on the implant, and was borderline suicidal when it first went in, so I'm not keen on the idea of hormonal contraception.

Can I share something a bit woo? Night before last I had an incredibly vivid dream. MIL was insistent that I get MiniWink started on bottles because she was going to have her for a sleepover. I said she wasn't spending the night away from me for a long time and DreamMIL was all 'she is so get ready.' Its pure coincidence like my subconscious knew.

Glad to hear he's home sinks. I hope they work out what the lump is soon. I hope you get some rest.

katandkits · 11/09/2014 23:11

No pill for me either. Mr kat has had the snip already. Not much sechsing going on anyway have only managed once.

Sinks pleased to hear he is back home. Hope you are both getting rest and good support from family

FriendofDorothy · 12/09/2014 00:04

No pill for mr either. Currently looking at the copper coil.

Glad he's home, sinks - and that you're getting some support, even in the form of your ILs.

I will never take artificial hormones ever again except for TTCing. I think after we have another child HOTB will have the snip, though we might hold out for a third if it's a possibility.

FrankelandFilly · 12/09/2014 09:39

Happy birthday Bugs, hope the midwife appt goes well.

Men have no sense of urgency you're but a slip of a thing! Happy birthday!

Returned from holiday- had lovely relaxing time but both MG and I have come down with a cold.

Pleased to see that GHJ is home Sinks. Keeping everything crossed that the results are not as bad as feared.

Interesting reading the chat on contraception and ttc #2. I've thought about it a bit already and as I'll be 35 and 3/4 by the time Fanklet arrives, I think I'll have to crack on. You just never know and I can't bear the thought of another 3 years of torturous ttc. I wouldn't mind a small age gap...say 18 months. Alhough I know it would be tough going. But alas that prob won't happen anyway.

SinkyMalinks · 12/09/2014 18:40

Bad day. Lots of pain. Managed to get GHJ upstairs to watch bathtime. He had to leave as it made him cry.

This is too hard.

Thanks bugs. I know. I can cope with illness. Post op recovery is a piece of piss (in the grand scheme of things). It's the fact that this really might be it.

Told some nct types to try and get some more local support. I've had a couple of jolly "get well soon hon!!!!"s. Yeah.

I was just going to say the same as Bugs, it might be good for you to talk to a third party. You need support too.

SinkyMalinks · 12/09/2014 19:51

Hum. Went to the Macmillan suite at the hospital. The doors were locked and I'm damned if I'm knocking on the door of fucking cancer support. Will wait for the diagnosis. Undoubtably will be some nurse specialist sitting in with tissues.

FrankelandFilly · 12/09/2014 19:55

Do you know when you can expect the results yet?

SinkyMalinks · 12/09/2014 19:58

Scan next week. Clinic week after. But we already know it's weird and has needed more tests/opinions so no guarantee we'll get answers then.

TheOriginalWinkly · 12/09/2014 19:59

Fucking hell sinky, you didn't slap them? Fair play. I agree with frank and bugs about seeing if you can get some support. This is so much for you to go through.

MiniWink keeps punching and kicking me in the Boob Of Pain.

My in laws have brought me rhubarb. Am I supposed to make a fucking crumble?

TheOriginalWinkly · 12/09/2014 20:00

Sorry sinks, cross posts there

SinkyMalinks · 12/09/2014 20:01

The minis can always find the sweet spot. When I had mastitis, R could always aim a firm punch.

TheOriginalWinkly · 12/09/2014 20:08

They're clever at inflicting pain. You could roast the rhubarb with sugar for half an hour and feed it to R, or take it to the next NCT meet and shove it up the arses of the twats.
