Safely back in the UK. Got travel sick during landing though (I normally fly well). Luckily I managed to blag my way through border control (I think I looked that awful!!) and find a loo before pukes-ville.

Now tucked up in my own bed, phew. I'm so tired... Why am I even on here?

Loving the bump videos. My kicks are only visible when I'm in the bath.. Could turn into a slightly indecent video!

Roonerspism · 27/08/2014 22:51

Ah I have found you all. I haven't logged in for a while and there is a new thread and apt new name!

I am shattered. Decided it would be a good idea to swim 1km at lunchtime. Felt great and now feel exhausted!!

Just got back from having an indian, in bed now feeling kicks from my little lady!
Night all

PolytheneGirl · 27/08/2014 23:10

BHLS I hope you've survived the 'wind' and rain this week. You've made me really chuckle with you "Black Country Bear Grylls" comment Grin

SassehMonsta · 28/08/2014 07:55

Ahh Roon, I love swimming and ar end of first/start of second tri managed a.couple of 1km swims. Now I only go swimming to go to Aquanatal, which is basically bouncing and floating. Oops.

Baby loves a good wriggle after a banana, or some orange juice. Think its the sugars! Total sugar addict like its mother....

Hurrah I'm working from home today. Commutes are so much easier when just bed to sofa. Also am a lot nearer to the fridgeSmile

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/08/2014 09:41

I'm bored of work already and it's only 9:40am.

CatFaceCrayola · 28/08/2014 09:41

Totally enjoyed my holiday, but I feel absolutely broken today!

Really want to make the most of my last week of summer holidays. I fear today may be a right/write off (can't decide which is the correct spelling) though. Still in bed

SassehMonsta · 28/08/2014 09:59

Catface, I would go for write off - as in, being written off :)

Peace, totally with you there, Its 9:58, I have been here since 9:45, and I want to go home already (despite not being in since last Thursday - Oops!). Hoping things pick up once the other staff get in.... Yeah right! Then I have to find not only things for me to do, but things for her to do as well, and supervise. Uuurgh.

CatFaceCrayola · 28/08/2014 10:12

Eyeing up Bed-nests AGAIN!

We got a cheap 2nd hand moses basket, so don't really need anything else. I still keep hovering though.

I know renting one for 6 months is cheaper but I'm not sure I want to rent... What if after 6 months we still aren't ready for separate rooms?

Missjasper · 28/08/2014 10:16

@cat we are going to get a Chico next2me cosleeper. It has some excellent reviews and I just love it! And it's only £149 new, not sure how much the other is to rent but this way I figure we get to keep it and cosleep for as long as we and bubba want to, and it's there if/when we have another (another 3 if hubby get his way haha yeah right!!)

CatFaceCrayola · 28/08/2014 11:45

Aye, I've been looking at the chicco one. Thinking I might go to mamas n papas and have a look at it on real life.

£150 isn't bad really, especially since we plan to have at least one more DC. Is that £149 with matress and sheets and wotnot?

The bed nest is £99 for 6 months!

Missjasper · 28/08/2014 12:18

I know what you mean about seeing it in real life, I've let my hubby review and research everything online then make him visit it in real life just so I can be sure I'm happy.
Think it comes with the mattress and hand washable cover but obviously sheets etc are separate. Think they aren't the usually size but we've ended up getting the Boori range nursery furniture and that's not standard sizes either so I'm thinking that's another good excuse to shop more! :-) x

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 28/08/2014 12:29

I have the troll cosleeper. It seems fine and looks good and is the right height for our bed which I was worried about as our mattress is higher than a normal one, but it was the biggest pain to put up. Dh and I nearly divorced over it!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/08/2014 12:47

My friend picked me up a Moses basket and rocking base for £4, so I feel like the pressure is off me for a bit to get a cot!

SassehMonsta · 28/08/2014 13:11

yeah think it includes mattress at least - Toys R Us sell it, as do Mothercare and Mama and Papas as well, all at the same price AFAIK.

Work got better - had an email reminding me there was a "mingle morning" on, where all tenants on site are invited for free cake and tea/coffee and can chat for an hour or so! So we went to that, then it was almost lunchtime.... and now I only have 4 hours left! XD

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/08/2014 14:01

I've spent the last hour in a coffee shop knitting and nursing a pot of tea. Thumbs up! My volunteers are being such sweeties, letting me get away with doing very little and lifting everything for me Grin I wish I'd told them all sooner, now!
Three hours left for me Smile

CatFaceCrayola · 28/08/2014 14:17

Putting it down to a combination of post holiday blues/rainy weather/house being a shambles/unpacking/washing marathon/so many other things to do. But I feel like crap today. Stupid hormones too. Feeling proper mopey and am constantly at risk of bursting into tears :(

LisaC2611 · 28/08/2014 15:51

Gaaaahhhh I hate month end and I hate our international offices!! Why can people not listen and follow simple instructions????

Hugmonster82 · 28/08/2014 16:29

I agree Lisa. I have reporting deadlines and invoices to do by the end of tomorrow and can feel my stress levels rising. I'm usually good at working under pressure but just feel like crying/having a tantrum today. Damn hormones! Hope my blood pressure has returned to normal by my next midwife appointment!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/08/2014 16:42

Aw sorry you're feeling pants, Catface. Have some of my tea.

CatFaceCrayola · 28/08/2014 17:08

Tea greatly appreciated. Can't summon up the energy /motivation to get up and make my own.

Lucy90 · 28/08/2014 17:27

Having a very emotional afternoon :( anyone else still find themselves set off by the littlest thing?

SassehMonsta · 28/08/2014 18:05

So far I have been really lucky and only had one day where I have been a hormonal wreck (which is great, as usually its weekly pre-pregnancy!!!!). It was bad enough that my best friend cancelled her plans for the weekend to drive 2 hours to see me - oops!

Massive hugs to all those feeling pants today ({>) hug (

DH is taking me to the Harvester for dinner, hurray! Just had a very cute encounter with a toddler in a coffee shop who was utterly fascinated by my knitting!
One more day to to!!
(77 days to go until maternity leave Wink)
