Massive melt down today. Hubby works away, currently 12 hrs off Coast of Singapore. Miss him like crazy, he's been away 4 weeks and another 2 and a bit to go. Yet when I got to speak to him all I could do was snap and ended up in a snivelling mess on the end of the phone! He didn't even do anything wrong, just didn't wasn't as emotional as I would have wanted but honestly what can I expect he's a man! And a military man for that! He's been bought up thinking real men don't show emotions only girls and poofs do that, and his idea of romance is groping my arse on the stairs! So seriously what did I expect?? And I love him just the way he is but just because he didn't say exactly the right words in the right order at the right time, I completely exploded at him!
Think I scared him as I'm normally very laid back and have the occasional contradicting opinion approx once a month during a certain time! But poor bloke didn't know what to say or do as I was snorting and sobbing down the phone, just what every man want to hear from their wife when thousands of miles away! Then of course he started being defensive which made matters worse, leading me to sob 'all I want is a cuddle!!' In very broken snotty words! Poor bloke!
Have now shut myself away from the rest of the world, had a good cry and eaten a large packet of giant buttons and contemplating a dominoes for dinner ..........

Hi all

Booked a 3d scan last night. There was a deal on groupon for it and I had an extra £10 off so made it worthwhile. Had been umming and ahhing over whether to have one but DH said it's better to have it done and never look at it again rather than not have it done, regret it and there's nothing I can do about it.

Had an eBay day today and got quite a few bits on and managed to sell something in about 20 mins which I'm quite pleased with Smile

CatFaceCrayola · 25/08/2014 17:04

missjasper I feel for you. The hormones are mental. No idea how I would survive without my DH

Take it easy and treat yourself to take away :)

Bettycakes80 · 25/08/2014 18:52

Missjasper you poor thing. My DH has been away since Thursday watching the Belgium Grand Prix (so fun not work) and I've been a right blubberer about it. You're doing brilliantly for him being away for a long time. Treat yourself to cheer yourself up.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 25/08/2014 20:17

Oh my god I'm having BH right now and it is so painful. I thought I was dying for a few minutes!!! Talk about melodramatic!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 25/08/2014 20:42

Bloody hell, thank god that's over.
Basically, we are never having sex again, because THAT was not worth it.

PolytheneGirl · 25/08/2014 20:46

Peace thank you for making me smile - that's probable my first smile all day! Hope you're ok..... Now rest!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 25/08/2014 21:04

Poly it was so painful! I still feel dizzy from it Confused
TMI but I had an orgasm and afterwards baby was wriggling a lot, and then about an hour and a half later I had a tight fist round my tummy, my chest was tight, I felt sick, and I had pain radiating up my back for about forty five minutes. It was horrific!
I'm not concerned but it did shock me; and I'm definitely going celibate for the next four months.

CatFaceCrayola · 25/08/2014 21:04

Oh dear peace bad times. I am not looking forward to experiencing BH!

PolytheneGirl · 25/08/2014 21:09

Blimey! That does sound bad! I'm terrified I'm going to go into labour before I go in for my CS. Sounds bloody horrendous!

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 25/08/2014 22:55

Ds was back to back so apparently the pain I felt in labour wasn't the normal kind of labour pain; I kept being told that if I was in labour I'd feel it across my stomach but I never did (as it was all in my back - and every 2 minutes right from the start), then I was off my head on g&a so I can't really remember how it progressed other than it bloody hurt! It's made me quite nervous of experiencing the "other" kind of labour pain!

I've never had bh either, although I have felt my bump go almost uncomfortably tight but I assume that's the baby moving around as normally a distinct lump appears which is obviously her head, back or bum.

Cuppachaplz · 25/08/2014 23:34

was sat here idly catching up on the weekends post, waiting to ask if too early to feel BH, but seems to have been answered.
Thanks for the smiles peace, hope all's subsided now o-O x

DrewsWife · 26/08/2014 00:11

At work. Piss bored!!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/08/2014 00:37

I can't sleep - I'm still all twitchy and sore :(

DrewsWife · 26/08/2014 02:06

I hit and killed a fox tonight. Feel gutted. Sat in bed in tears whilst he snores.

LisaC2611 · 26/08/2014 08:09

Drew hope you managed to get some sleep and feel a bit better this morning. It was just a fox don't beat yourself up about it. There was nothing you could have done x

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 26/08/2014 08:17

Just discovered I can't zip my coat up.anymore (well I can either have it zipped up or I can bend in it but not both). Buying a coat for 3 months wear feels wrong to me.. but I hate being cold/wet! Argh!

These problems don't happen with summer babies!

Hugmonster82 · 26/08/2014 08:39

I'm wearing one of DH's coats today. A lot too long and I look a bit like a child playing dress up but at least it's warmSmile

Lucy90 · 26/08/2014 08:47

Pourqoi if you want a new maternity coat have a look at the new look sale, i got a maternity coat there last week reduced from 65 to 22 and they have other maternity stuff reduced so might be worth having a look!
Hope everyone had a restful sleep, i was woken up by little kicks every few hours but cant say i mind! I love feeling her wriggling round

SassehMonsta · 26/08/2014 08:57

Lucy - like I need another excuse to bunk off work and go shopping ;-)

Peace, BHs are a bugger. i had one evening of them and they hurt quite a.bit! Feel for you, hope the niggly pains go away.

Not really posting much on here as
seem to not het on with the new mumsnet mobile site.

9 weeks and 4 days to mat leave (with a weeks holiday and 2 appointment days in there toooooo!)

24+3 today

liesal79 · 26/08/2014 10:41

Hi All Due 23/12
I am not doing too great due to anxiety and general worry having had a few miscarriages before getting here!
I have been off work for 2 weeks and now back on 1/2 days for 2 weeks - all very scary! :)

I am overweight and have this separator between the top of my belly and the bottom - I just want to look pregnant!!! :S

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/08/2014 11:18

Liesal I have a capital B tummy too, but it is sort of becoming a capital D!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/08/2014 11:23

I'm very achey and tired today, and I still feel a bit sick. It really knocked me for six last night, and I couldn't sleep for hours :(
I'm taking it as easy as possible at work and hoping to leave at lunch time if I have enough cover, then tomorrow I'm at home. I am babysitting a friend's 9 year old, but I warned her I'm on a rest mission so she'd have to bring her over and be prepared to stay in doing crafty things!
Hope everyone else is well? Drews that sounds awful, I'd be devastated if I hit an animal :( I hope you're alright today?

Somersetgirl1990 · 26/08/2014 12:36

Hope everyone's days are going well - drews sorry to hear about the fox! I hit a deer once and it was horrendous, I sat in my car and cried for about an hour! Shock

Strangely excited that it's very nearly September.... Only 3 months to go Grin got my 25 week appnt today so hopefully she'll reassure me about feeling crap, I'm hoping it's not the return of morning sickness Confused

Pepsiaddict · 26/08/2014 13:16

Pourquoi my jojo coat arrived this morning - it has a panel in the front so you can wear it afterwards and over a baby carrier. Loads of growing room. Really impressed with it - was a bit meh when I saw it in the catalogue but it's really cosy. Worst case scenario can use it for dog walking afterwards.
