Wooo congrats Taura!

Good luck Sasseh. Hope it goes by quickly.

I had the worst pain first thing this morning. Just above my pubic bone from side to side. I think it may have been baby laying on my manky pelvis but I am not sure. Its eased now but I am keeping an eye. I am tired and have a cold so am not happy to be going to work.Sad Have diabetes clinic and scan tomorrow. Waiting for mh referral (still) and physio.

CallingAllEngels · 15/09/2014 08:40

Congrats taura !

Annoyed with my doctors this morning. Mw called Thursday to say my blood results showed low b12 and iron so had to make an appt with gp. Mw said they would fax blood results over fri morning. GP running late, even at 8.30 in the morning, then when I got in said she didn't have results so couldn't take any action. So either mw didn't send results or surgery have them sitting in a pile of stuff somewhere. Going to call me back later so I can make an appt to have the shot I already know I need. And DS had a total strop when we left as well. Waste of a bloody hour and will now have to take time off work for appt to get shot (free today). Grrrr.

CallingAllEngels · 15/09/2014 08:41

Xpost spider . I shouldn't moan really. Can't believe you're still waiting for referral.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 15/09/2014 09:06

No no you make me feel better that I am not the only one moaning! As I am at the hospital all day tomorrow I am going to try and push to see the people I should have seen weeks ago, plus the physio. I'm in too much pain to be overlooked. Its a bit patchy this antenatal care isnt it!!!

LisaC2611 · 15/09/2014 09:15

Congrats taura, next spring /summer will be a lovely time to get married. I booked my wedding in May and got married in November, personally thought it was easier to do it in a shorter time, I also helped my sister organise her wedding over a 2 year period.

I had a bit of bleeding yesterday lunchtime which freaked me out a bit I phoned the midwives and they said to use a panty liner and if there was any more to go up to the antenatal assessment unit. I haven't had any more bleeding but had an ache at the bottom of my bump. Have felt the baby moving plenty so although I'm a bit anxious am not too worried about it all. I have a midwife appt Friday so will mention it then.

Chipandspuds · 15/09/2014 09:16

Congratulations Taura! Thanks

Hope that everyone waiting for test results, physio etc get seen quickly! It's horrible waiting!

DS and I are going to have a lazy day today I think! Had a cancelled play date so I think we will go to playgroup this afternoon and then pop to the local shops and then home and chill out! He's currently lying in the settee watching tv under his blanket with a snotty nose!

Feeling queasy & sick, but now home and eaten some food. Will probably find out tomorrow, as mw said she would pop in and check results and text them to me if they were ready. Got 28 week bloods/mw appt and anti-D next week (Tuesday & Thursday) so I'll be sick of the sight of needles soon. (Hate the buggers!). Baby had a proper disco about 45 mins after the glucose drink, got a short video on the fb group. A dog walking friend that I haven't seen for 5 months turned up and I had a good matter with her while we both waited. Going to try and sleep now as had awful night last night.

Taura · 15/09/2014 12:12

Thanks all.
I've got the midwife (for a very slightly early 28w check up) and all this talk of blood tests and diabetes checks is getting me worried. Hope it works out well for all of you that are on that journey and x fingers I get through ok.
When does the flu jab start rolling out? Is it usually October? I have to book in for my Whooping Cough jab and wonder if I should delay that a couple of weeks and get both together?

Hugmonster82 · 15/09/2014 12:29

I was told by my doc that he will do my whooping cough and flu jabs at my 31 week appointment which will be on or around 1st Oct. Apparently flu jab comes in September so you may be able to book now.

Hugmonster82 · 15/09/2014 12:38

Found out this morning that a colleague who went on maternity leave on Friday at 36 weeks gave birth this morning! Keep hearing about people who are going into labour early including someone who went into labour at work. Starting to scare me! For those of you that are on your second - were you early/late/on time with your first? Also was your mum similar? I know my mum was early for my sisters and I so wondering if I'll be the same.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 15/09/2014 12:50

Ds was born 4 days before his due date so fingers crossed I won't go over this time either!

6 weeks left in work (or 24 working days to be exact).

29+5

LotsaTuddles · 15/09/2014 12:58

Congrats Taura.

Ds was exactly 2 weeks early, which tbh would be nice if this one was too, as she'd then have a distinctly separate birthday from Christmas (due boxing day).

Not sure when the flu jab is, my mw is going to book my whooping cough one at next appt (10th September) so will ask about flu one then too

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/09/2014 13:00

My wretched cold is still here and still rotten after nine days and my chest really hurts :( I'll bloody kill that pharmacist if I get a chest infection.

I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow for my 25 week appointment. Must remember to ask about whooping cough/flu jabs! I always pay for the flu jab anyway because I suffer so badly with respiratory infections for some reason (fucked up ears/nose/throat), so I'm happy to get it free for once!

Had a rubbish weekend at my ILs who absolutely despise me, which I haven't got upset about for years, but they did something that just broke me and I cried all Saturday night because DH is terrified of them and won't support me. We've made up now, but ugh. They live an hour's drive away so at least I won't have to see them much when the baby's here. They've been to see us twice in eight years.

We're going on holiday tomorrow which is going to be bloody lovely and I can't wait to be away from here and work and everything.

Hope everyone else is feeling jollier!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/09/2014 13:02

Oh and I was two weeks late! I wouldn't mind that too much because then it'd be a January birthday rather than at Christmas.

nickyjlees · 15/09/2014 14:02

Congratulations Taura, fab news!
Lovely to hear from you Treacle, sending lots of luck :)
Am off work sick today, back pain is so bad I couldn't sleep last night :(
Im taking iron tablets now as was showing slightly anaemic at last mw appointment, now dealing with the delightful side effects of black poo and a sore bum :S
Im booked in for my whooping cough jab in a couple of weeks, not thought about the flu jab, will have to check with mw next week.
In less moany news we finally got a pram at the weekend, yay! I've been wheeling it around the house like a crazy woman every 5 minutes! OH has also started decorating the nursery which is very exciting, can't wait to finally unpack all of the boxes of furniture and get it all set up :)
Antenatal classes are going well, really lovely bunch of people and really glad to be at aquanatal and looking forward to my first pregnancy yoga class next week.
Only 34 days left at work, scary!!!

Hope you feel better soon Sasseh

29+4

Chipandspuds · 15/09/2014 17:19

DS was 6 days late, I'm going this baby will be about the same!

Hope you feel better soon Peace!

I don't envy you the in-law situation...mine aren't too bad really but I do find a little goes a very long way! FIL was at our house quite often after DS was born and it was a bit too much for me really. This time around I'm not going to be having all those unexpected visits!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/09/2014 18:12

Oh it's bloody miserable, Chips. I have a terrible relationship with my own mother and almost hoped I could have a pseudo mother/daughter relationship with MIL but literally from day one it's been pure hatred. In the past I put it down to me being simply unlovable, but now I realise she's just a fuckface Grin

CatFaceCrayola · 15/09/2014 18:15

Hi treacle and congratulations taura :)

I've got my first group physio session tomorrow. Hoping they can suggest something as my back is so so sore.

32 working days left I think.

I'm predicting that Bubble will be early... DH was 2 weeks early and I was 6 weeks early. Eek... Maybe I should have opted to start mat leave earlier than 36weeks!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 15/09/2014 18:58

Peace, she sounds like a horrendous cowbag. I am glad you don't see her often. I am angry on your behalf.

CallingAllEngels · 15/09/2014 19:29

ILs sound vile peace . I would tell DH he's going by himself from now on.

DS was 3 days early.

My older Dbro was also a few days early but I was 10 days late. Hoping this one is early as would rather have baby before NYE. May be looking at a Christmas Day baby then! (due 28th).

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 15/09/2014 20:58

Not feeling great today. Day two of this headache which paracetamol isn't doing anything for, on and off feeling sick all day, slightly dodgy tummy and self diagnosed pelvic girdle pain (closest match google had to the pain in my bum!). Going to decide if it's worth going to work in the morning.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 16/09/2014 07:32

Morning! no work today as I have diabetes clinic and scan... Although hospitals suck, this makes me happy as I am still in bed. :)

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/09/2014 10:46

Oh no, bad times. Been for 25 week appointment and I had protein in my urine and slightly raised blood pressure so they're sending me to the hospital to check my bloods for pre-eclampsia :( meant to be going on holiday today! I'm actually a bit scared.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/09/2014 11:06

Good luck at your appointments BHLS!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 16/09/2014 11:11

Ahh shit Peace. Hope you are ok. Keep us posted. x
