A few babies have already arrived, with more due to make their entrance soon, and it's not even September yet!

Morning ladies! Haven't been about & have missed loads (again)! Congratulations top , bug , tea & ilove xx
Been thinking about nazly , kicks&giggles & rockin20s too where have they gone? Hope alls okay with them x
Scan again today, can't believe am at 36weeks now, it's gone by so fast, I'm going to miss being pregnant :(

dontevenblink · 20/08/2014 10:42

Is anyone else waddling? I look ridiculous Grin - the amount of pressure is huge and baby hasn't even engaged yet. I'm 37+3. I don't remember it being quite this bad with the other 3, I am having to walk holding my bump at the bottom where the head is to try and take some of the pressure off... and tmi but every time I stand up and the baby drops I have to run (well hobble) to the toilet straight away, it is driving me crazy!! The annoying thing is that the way I carry my babies, even when they do drop they still have their bum/feet tucked under my ribs, so I get the burning pain at the top and the immense pressure at the bottom - ggrrrr! Sorry for the moan :)

CoolCat2014 · 20/08/2014 11:00

Congratulations ilove enjoy newborn cuddles!

Don'teven - I'm waddling for sure (38+1) and I've got the pressure down below (she's started to engage) and the pressure on the ribs. Think she's got long legs!

Off to midwife today. Getting bored of waiting now, just want to get on with it, but I don't feel like baby is in any rush atm!

Inbl00m · 20/08/2014 11:00

Wow things are happening so fast now! Massive congrats tea and Ilove!

I'm envious of you whose babies haven't engaged yet. Mine's fully engaged and it's made SO much difference - unbearably uncomfortable now and am going to have to stop work earlier than planned. I stupidly didn't realise it would make such a difference!

lilone1234 · 20/08/2014 11:34

donteven Ah that's exactly how I feel! Walking is getting really painful for any length of time - yet still have plenty of heartburn and breathlessness, particularly at night as then I suppose gravity isn't pulling baby down.

Now this might be a bit TMI ladies...has anyone experiences some leakages of the bladder sort? Yesterday and this morning I went to the loo when I got up as usual but once i'd finished and left the toilet I had a bit of a leak. As far as I could tell it was wee rather than anything else. Obviously have not been doing my pelvic floor exercises enough! Like any other body parts need to start malfunctioning!

Morning all, saw mw this morning all fine, baby still not engaged yet booo.

Mw idea of a birth plan was pathetic, not the in-depth chat she had promised. When I last saw her three weeks ago she promised I could have what equipment I wanted at the hospital, turns out I cant...very annoyed as I would have looked into a different hospital.

Managed to waddle out and get eyebrows done and feel a whole lot more human now Grin I also still managed to fit into my maternity jeans, I had kinda thought that I was too fat now as I have been living in maxi dresses/skirts so was very pleasantly surprised!!

TeamEponine · 20/08/2014 12:44

lilone - maybe try rocking backwards and forwards once you are done pee-ing, but before getting off the loo. That might help with that little bit of residual pee that seems to be causing you issues.

I'm really trying hard not to waddle, but it is starting. The bottom of my bump just feels so heavy. I feel like I need some kind of converted zimmer frame to help support the bump whilst I'm on the move!!! Grin

Acorncat · 20/08/2014 13:54

I've also wondered if I'm peeing myself leaking a tiny bit, but I think it might be (tmi) discharge rather than pee and hopefully not waters! Not entirely sure how to tell.

Awww, he's a real cutie. Congrats cookie!!!

holls2000 · 20/08/2014 15:53

Cookie, what a cutie Elijah is.

Am v waddly, dodgy back is seemingly old sailing injury flaring up. Ice packs and paracetamol at the ready!!!

KitKat1985 · 20/08/2014 17:19

Beautiful pic of Elijah. xx

I don't think baby has engaged yet (my bump still looks quite high), but possibly still a bit early (just turned 36 weeks today) but suspect she will have to engage soon. Am getting a lot of period type pains though off and on the past few days so am assuming that's a sign that she is slowly getting ready. xx

cookielove · 20/08/2014 17:53

They have changed the mobile site Hmm

Thanks I think he is pretty cute to Wink

Big night tonight I am staying in a room with just me and the little guy, gonna try and get him on the boob, but if goes anything like my last feed with him. Where all he did was sleep I may just end up sleeping through the night instead! Shock

The breast feeding expert kept saying breast fed babies always wake up for their food which is bullshit! Grrr!

CumbrianExile · 20/08/2014 18:11

Aw cookie, he is a real cutie!
Hope tonight goes well for you Smile

Baby was 3/5 engaged a few weeks ago, but feels higher again! Can they/should they move back out? Will find out on Friday at the midwife I guess!

Marjal12 · 20/08/2014 18:31

Well, had my growth scan and was all geared up for being told I'd be induced after having to get the steroids last week, but growth has gone up a bit so they're happy for me to go another week and then get checked again next Wed. I'm a bit disappointed as I've spent all weekend running around getting things ready 'just in case'. Also, the baby's turned breech so I'm home with leaflets about ECV and sections! Confused

Ooh I feel sorry for the waddlers! Feeling relieved not to be pregnant Grin

As for the wee / fluid worry, if you are really concerned go and get checked. I did once when pregnant with DS, they just got me to lie flat for 20 mind then had a look with a speculum to see if there was fluid pooling.
It's worth it to find out for sure as even a small leak can risk infection.

KatharineClover · 20/08/2014 22:48

Leaking wee (tiny amounts, without feeling it) was one of my uti symptoms. Thankfully gone with anti biotics (sorry tmi!).
cookie Elijah is gorgeous, hope BFing goes well tonight

Marjal12 · 20/08/2014 23:04

Ella, was wondering how you were getting on with the Metformin with your tummy? I found it did nothing for my levels, and have been on insulin for weeks now. Will be induced a bit early due to GD but had a scare with baby growth last week so they were talking about even earlier induction, but thankfully growth's picked up. I'm 35.4 today.

dontevenblink · 20/08/2014 23:29

Beautiful pic of Elijah cookie, he is gorgeous! Dd (dc1) was incredibly sleepy after her birth, just fell asleep on the breast every time I tried to feed her, so they kept us in for a few days - when we got home though she didn't want to stop feeding, in fact that's all she wanted to do! So I wouldn't worry too much if he's not that interested at mo.

On the topic of wee Grin my pelvic floor is completely stuffed... Sad

The injections are fine - less sore than the finger pricks to be honest. It's just all such a faff! I'm really hoping it goes after the baby's here. Good luck tomorrow!
Cookie, Elijah is a wee dote x
