A few babies have already arrived, with more due to make their entrance soon, and it's not even September yet!

Top im another sleep deprived mush!
Baby monster fed from 12 til 4ish. I did try putting him down in between and all I got was screaming!

My nipples are so bloody sore from last night!

CumbrianExile · 22/08/2014 09:37

Hope you are feeling better today Miss

So much for my nice relaxing start to Mat Leave. Nesting may have kicked in a little today, up and cleaned the bathroom and spare room already. Got first load of washing in. Just taking a break for a cuppa then I will be back to it (or I will get hooked on mumsnet and do no more but the thought is there Grin)

lilone1234 · 22/08/2014 10:22

bug Lovely pictures of baby Dexter at the end of the last thread!

Sounds like everyone is sleep deprived one way or another! I keep having really vivid dreams when I am sleeping, but lots of them are not pleasant so forcing myself awake and tossing and turning and up to the toilet etc. You all know the drill!

Top do you remember what Jessicas bilirubin levels were?

Hes been checked and they need doing again at6 as they are 250 so might end up back in hospital for treatment

cookielove · 22/08/2014 10:41

ilove is that for jaundice? Elijah jas had two treatments for this and is still looking yellow!! He is getting the hang of bf now! He's had no top ups since yesterday at 11am feed. But he is going every 4 hrs between feeds and then feeding for 30 minutes plus. I often have to wake him up for food! Argh its so confusing to know what to do for the best.

cookielove · 22/08/2014 10:44

bug he is adorable!

Oh and we should officially be breaking out of this joint on Monday!

topmammy · 22/08/2014 10:51

Had a bit more sleep in between feeds last night so feel more human this morning, have cleaned downstairs ready for health visitor and a couple of friends coming round today. Lack of sleep really does make everything, even speaking, difficult though argh!

ilove Jessica's bilirubin level was just above the treatment line (250) at around 256. Then went down to 210 after the light therapy, then went up by 6 after she was off the light box. They were satisfied it was under control so we could go home.

My nips are so sore, can't even bare for my clothes to brush against them. I hope they toughen up soon!

ilovemonstersinc · 22/08/2014 11:37

Yep cookie for jaundice
ds are 250 and going to have his bloods taken again this evening at the hospital to see if they have come down or gone up.

Hes currently in his crib in the sun

Hi ladies, I'm sorry for disappearing for so long. I've just skimmed over some of the threads I've missed, and see that a few of you had asked about me - thanks for thinking of me. I got very uncomfortable the last couple of months of my pregnancy, mostly because of SPD. It was much harder than my singleton pregnancy with my older DS.

My boys were born at 33+3 on 24th July, weighing 4 lbs 4.5 oz and 3 lbs 11 oz. My waters went spontaneously the night before, and I was given a drug to try to stop contractions long enough to be given a second steroid injection (12 hours later) to help strengthen the babies' lungs before they were born. It didn't work though, and labour progressed very quickly. By the time I was examined and found to be in active labour, the first twin was born 20 minutes later, with his brother seven minutes after that, and the placenta another seven minutes later. The entire second stage was only 39 minutes! I had intended to follow the recommendations to have a epidural (due to higher risk of intervention with twin births), but there wasn't time, so I pushed them out with just gas and air, which was fine as they were small and both stayed head down. It was actually an easier delivery than with my older DS (with whom I had a home water birth), and I felt fine after. Not tearing this time made a huge difference to my recovery.

The boys were doing well for their gestation, but because of their prematurity, spent 17 days in NICU, which was tough, especially the first week when they were in incubators and on oxygen, feeding tubes, etc. We've had them home for 12 days now, and everything is going well. They are lovely sweet little things and I am bursting with love for them. I am spending most of my time breastfeeding at the moment, trying to feed them in tandem whenever I can.

Congratulations to Topmammy, Cookielove, Bugoven, Teabiscuits, ilovemonstersinc, and anyone else who has already had their babies! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

TheOnlySeven · 22/08/2014 12:42

Aw congratulations kicks, lovely news x

TheOnlySeven · 22/08/2014 12:46

I know I should be complaining but I'm getting so fed up. I'm more pregnant than I've ever been before and genuinely expected to have given birth by now. I'm exhausted and my back is killing me, plus I've been having painful BH on and off since Saturday. Still only 36+2, and feeling quit expressed that I could still have at least another month to go.

KitKat1985 · 22/08/2014 12:55

Ahh nice to hear from you kicks. Can't believe your boys are nearly a month old already. Sounds like it's been a rough few weeks but glad to hear things are going okay now. xx

Sorry to hear you are fed up theonlyseven. I think we must have the same due date (sept 17th) as I'm 36+2 today as well. Just came back from a midwifes appointment and baby is only 4/5ths palpable (so only just starting to engage) so I don't think my baby is going to be in any kind of a rush either, so suspect I've got at least a few more weeks to suffer through yet as well! At least we can keep each other company. xx

ilovemonstersinc · 22/08/2014 13:08

Ahhh kicks it's lovely to hear from you! .glad the boys are doing well now!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 22/08/2014 16:20

It's Nazly that's AWOL as well has anyone heard from her? Been thinking of the other ladies too, haven't seen Rockin for ages x

whiteblossom · 22/08/2014 16:51

Ive just had to nip to the local shop, I'd been putting it off as I didn't want to bump into anyone. So I managed to get all round the shop, get want I need without bumping into anyone....Just one problem I didn't think of. The lady at the till, who knows my face..."Oh gosh aren't you huge, theres no way you'll make it to your due date, just look at you, you can really see it in your face too"
Fucking Bitch. Yes I had noticed just This Morning thank you that a double chin had started to appear thanks so much for confirming that.
fuckity fuck fuck. fuck.

Back onto topic, yes Im worried about Naz to be honest.

TeamEponine · 22/08/2014 17:06

How disgustingly rude!!! I hope you responded in an equally rude and inappropriate way?! Angry

lucidlady · 22/08/2014 17:26

I PMd Nazly the other day but haven't heard back from her. Hopefully she's just enjoying newborn snuggles and is too busy to MN!
