Normal leggings thickness! Very comfy and full length. I got two navy pairs (inherited a lot of black) and they are definitely my Fave. Prefer them to my jojo ones (which are too big) and my topshop ones (fall down).

So tired today, and not feeling 100% Sad. Thinking about my birth plan vaguely, which is the placenta jab that can make you be sick?

JellyBeansHaveNoAgeLimit · 21/08/2014 14:17

Happy, Syntomtrine makes you sick, Syntocinon doesnt. I wrote it down when *me8 mentioned it Grin

About to leave the house for the first time today, I've been putting it off because I managed to rip my feet to shreds wearing my new shoes the 10min trip to pick DS up Sad. Wish me luck!

Happytimes31 · 21/08/2014 14:24

Fab thank you jelly I remember me mentioning it but couldn't find the post. Good luck with your trip outside Smile

sparkle - H&M do cropped length over-the-bump leggings (I'm also short and they end up being between ankle/lower calf length on me)

ohthegoats · 21/08/2014 14:43

I have similar legging length problems. I end up going straight from cropped leggings and Birkenstocks into long leggings rolled over, with the rolls hidden by boots.

Me23 · 21/08/2014 16:35

Just wanted to add a lot of people don't experience any side effects from syntometrine and it's important to remember it is a life saving drug and is first line in cases of haemorrhage. A lot of places use syntocinon routinely anyway for 3rd stage but will use syntometrine in an emergency.

I have the shortness problem here too! Primark leggings are fine on me but my h&m mama leggings are much more comfy but are too long so I have to hike them up a bit. The bigger and more uncomfortable I get the less I care about my appearance anyway!

Kirstipops · 21/08/2014 16:57

Just having a peek at my maternity notes and in the box for "fetal lie" it looks like the midwife has written "lag"? Any ideas what that means? Just nosy really..
Painful coccyx today like I fell down a flight of stairs on my arse!

LondonJen · 21/08/2014 17:05

Lol Fedup thanks!

I have some New Look jeggings in short length which are good. Debating whether to go for size up in them. Good for outside but think want softer for inside. Hmm..

Hope you feel better soon me and happy and Jelly's feet!

Me23 · 21/08/2014 17:14

I can only assume by "lag" she meant long as lag isn't an abbreviation I've ever heard of. Longitudinal is a normal presentation it means baby body is lying lengthways either head up or down.

puppythedog · 21/08/2014 17:27

Just bagging my spot. Cought up on this thread but needed to bail on previous one. What a chatty bunch. I wonder who will be first?

Goats you can refuse anything you like. That's the law. Unless you lack capacity to decide.

Kirstipops · 21/08/2014 17:28

Aha thanks Me, that'd be right then, an unengaged head wiggling around in my undercrackers and bum seemingly jammed in my left ribs at times!

binkybunny · 21/08/2014 17:41

Aaargh had two major full on tears breakdowns today. First one the cakes I baked for my sisters wedding crumbled when I came to slice them. Have now 'glued' them together with buttercream and fondant icing!

Now DH has called to let me know he's just used the last of the money in our account until paydayon Tuesday to fill the car with diesal but can't drive down South as the tyre he got warned about 4 weeks ago is down to the f-ing canvas. I am so mad at him. We are supposed to be leaving at 7am tomorrow to get there at a reasonable time, and I have had to ask to borrow money from my parents which isn't making me feel like the most grown up person in the world Angry

Ok rant over, I'm off to find whatever I can in the fridge to eat and make myself feel better so hopefully I won't rip his head off when he walks in the door.

mum2kiss · 21/08/2014 18:14

Chocolate binks and lots of it!

ohthegoats · 21/08/2014 18:15

Right, I've been to see my friend who had the C-section last Friday. She's a right warrior regards physical exercise (ultra-runner, climber etc), and she's been totally knocked for six by the op. It wasn't an emergency either - planned section for breech, she went into labour early so had the section 3 days earlier than planned, but it wasn't an 'emergency' - all very calm. Stitches have opened up, she's feeling really crippled by it all. Urgh, I don't want one of them... even the photos of babies crowning are less aargh than the look on her face talking about the post operative stuff!

Still madly jealous that she's not pregnant anymore though!

Happytimes31 · 21/08/2014 18:52

So someone I know has just given birth! Due around the 10th October. All fine ??

mrsb87 · 21/08/2014 18:54

Aw binky sorry you're having a shitty day. I agree with mum, you need choccy! It was the only thing that lifted my mood yesterday.
Sounds like your dh will be getting the silent treatment tonight!

binkybunny · 21/08/2014 18:59

Ha ha no chocolate in the house but just devoured 3 cheese and onion rolls, half a tub of left over buttercream and had a sniff at a bottle of wine but it's crap stuff we use for cooking so not worth drinking. Feeling calmer and realised it's not the end of the World although when we are Sat in bank holiday traffic tomorrow evening DH will know about it

OMG can't believe someone due on the 10 Oct has given birth, that's my due date Shock.

mum2kiss · 21/08/2014 19:05

Eeek! I'm due 12th/13th!

At my hydro session yesterday out of 4 of us I had the latest due date, but the biggest bump! I've convinced myself this baby is coming in September...

HopefulHamster · 21/08/2014 19:31

Goats, you know there will be people here who have to have c-sections, right? I am having one (my second actually), and while your post has made me really worried I am trying to remember that my recovery from my first one was actually really good.

pinkfizzsparkles · 21/08/2014 19:55

Had my 34 week midwife appointment today and have glucose in my urine. I've not had the glucose tolerance test as I'm not deemed high risk. She's told me to cut back on sugar and she'll test me again at 36 weeks. Anyone else had this? Is it a sign I'm heading for GD or can it be a one off? I know some of you ladies have GD so what do you snack on?

YellowWellies · 21/08/2014 19:56

Hamster you're right some folks have great experiences of C sections - my sister was up and about the day after, even squatting down to cuddle her 2 year old. [smile

Also Goats I'm sure you didn't mean to post that to scare folks who know already they have to have a CS and those of us (and it could be any of us including you) who might need an EMCS. Honestly just because someone is hard at sports doesn't mean they will cope well with labour or a section. Certainly being really into some sports can be a liability for labour - horse riders for example as their pelvic floor can be too tight. And its a different sort of mental strength - I think most performance athletes would cope very poorly post surgery because it can knock you on your arse and being immobile would be hardest mentally for them.

YellowWellies · 21/08/2014 19:57

PinkFizz I'm snacking on sugar snap peas, cooked chicken and nuts.

Kirstipops · 21/08/2014 19:57

My sister can't see past C-sections, she thinks they're fab lol! My mum had C-sections as well with us two and recovered well, I guess it's the same with everything, pregnancy, natural births and c-sections, women will go through it differently and have totally different experiences. I'm using natal hypnotherapy and hoping it will result in a natural birth but if that's not possible then heyho, a c-section it will be, as long as baby gets out ok I'll be happy.
