But also am so tired it's stupid. Combo of house stress and being a nomad I think as well as heavily pregnant with a husband who keeps waking me up.

Thank god it's the weekend.

32 weeks today... Eeeeek!

binkybunny · 08/08/2014 07:06

Seriously wishing I could call in sick today. I just fell asleep stood in the shower. yesterday I fell asleep on the loo at work Blush Wish my colleague hadn't taken today off Envy

mrsb87 · 08/08/2014 07:40

Aw binky I know how you feel, there is just not way of feeling comfortable in bed for me either. Yesterday I was so scared because I felt like I was going to fall asleep driving Confused day off today though thank goodness. I woke up about 1:30 am with another massive nose bleed. If I get up at night I'm instantly sick and there was So much blood in that too it freaked me out a bit so we rang the midwives who again didn't seem too concerned. They said if there was blood in my morning puke to ring them again. Sorry if this is TMI but there was a few globules of blood and the bile had a reddy tinge to it this morning. Do you guys think think I ought to ring them again or . Do you think that it's just blood from last night's episode?

In terms of sleeping, I'm now back to just two quite big pillows (that put me a little upright - avoidance of heartburn), and a V shaped pillow that I currently have wedged under my bump when I'm sleeping on my left hand side. That pillow hangs off the mattress onto the floor, so the bit that is wedged under me is actually one of the ends of the V - so quite small. I'm looking forward to getting the bed delivered so I don't have to get up from the floor every time I need a wee, but will have to rearrange pillows again. I move around in the night so I also sleep on my right hand side, but I don't have a bump wedge on that side since boyfriend is in the way. On that side I sort of sleep half on my stomach, which is how I used to sleep, and it's so much more comfy. On my left hand side I wake up quite regularly with very dead hands/arms and aching hips or shoulders, but seem to be able to sleep through quite a lot of 'going dead' so don't mind too much.

Basically I wake up every time I try to turn over, and that means getting up to the loo every time I turn over too. While I'm poddling off to the bathroom I'm shaking hands and arms back to life usually too.

I just feel permanently tired though - I never get more than 2 hours in a row of sleep. Somehow I'm beginning to think that a newborn might be easier - even if I'm only getting an hour at a time then, at least it might have a chance of being better quality sleep in a position that's comfortable.

ohthegoats · 08/08/2014 08:13

MrsB - if you have a midwife who answers the phone, I'd ring and tell her what you've said above. Nothing to lose.

binkybunny · 08/08/2014 08:20

mrsb if she said to call and your worried I'd call. I've had small nosebleeds but not gushing. I'm sure it's nothing but better to put your mind at rest.

I've just woke up again, decided to have an extra hours sleep and go into work at 10am. Not sure if I feel better for it or not, had a weird dream about walking to Tescos for water with a pint of cordial in my hand. When I got there I didn't have my wallet so turned around and walked home Confused

Kirstipops · 08/08/2014 08:21

Mrsb it prob is just remainder nosebleed-blood that flowed back down your throat which you've then brought up being sick as you say, but phone your midwife to set your mind at ease. I know when I brush my teeth and gargle after a nosebleed the spit is pretty bleugh-looking too and my nosebleeds aren't even that heavy.

Lulu298 · 08/08/2014 08:33

MrsB that sounds terrible. Hope you get some respite soon.

Was up in the night too with a terrible stomach upset. Awful pains and multiple trips to the loo. Have a scheduled consultant appointment so feel reassured to be seeing someone today to check the bump is ok.

I'm another one whose legs, bum, hips ache in bed. Plus someone was asking if anyone had sciatica earlier. I had it before I got pregnant and it flares up now as well. Find sitting in an arm chair when at home helps and lots of yoga stretches.

Happytimes31 · 08/08/2014 08:41

I have a lina negra and also lovely vein bruising on legs Sad despite wearing support tights.
Using a dream genii thing, got in TKmaxx seems to do the job although sort of end up on back on top of it at the end of the night but apparently that is fine as long as no pins and needles etc and start off on the left hand side.

fatpony · 08/08/2014 08:45

Sorry to all those feeling poorly. Nose bleeds sound awful.

My random question for the day - how can a red stretch mark appear during the day? Wasn't there yesterday morning but was at bedtime, looks like I scratched myself. Blasted little thing!

I have a rare day off today so going to hit up Primark/Wilko/TK Maxx etc as I never normally go to these shops as too busy by the weekend.

ohthegoats · 08/08/2014 08:47

Oh, no lina negra here (yet), but definitely some pigment changes in the skin on my tummy area. Lots of freckles for some reason. I think (embarrassingly) that I've been not far off fatter than this in the past just from being 'fat', so for the moment no new stretch marks either - but I expect that will change.

ohthegoats · 08/08/2014 08:48

All Bran and chocolate is a healthy breakfast, yes? Yes.

ohthegoats · 08/08/2014 08:50

For people thinking they'll do the two top breast feeding thing, and can't get to Primark or other cheapy options, Next are doing a load of thin strap vests that you can buy online. Lots of colour choice:

Bumpforme2014 · 08/08/2014 08:51

I have the line, had it since 27 weeks when I went on holiday and got tan, my skin is darker anyway so knew I would get it. No stretch marks yet but I know they are coming, sister didn't get any until 34 weeks. Few people have commented recently on how small my bump is, I really think I'm gonna ballon in the last four weeks. Off to midwife appointment now so will be at hospital all morning as usual.

Mrsb I'm sure you will be fine, nosebleeds are very concerning especially big heavy ones. I had my nose cauterised when I was younger as I had at least one heavy bleed daily and was spitting out blood from that hours later. If you are concerned at all you should always just make a call.
Re sleeping -

  1. Ask DP/DH to sleep elsewhere, we have been in seperate rooms for 2 weeks now! His snoring, breathing/general presence was waking me up!
  2. Buy a theraline/Doomoo long body pillow. They are far better than cotton waded ones as they mould to your shape. I have a Doomoo which I am in love with.
  3. Put a pillow under your bump too.
  4. No caffeine after lunch
  5. Camomile tea in the evening & no fluid after 8pm apart from a glass of water for sipping if parched through night.
  6. No mobile/tablet/TV lights on near the bed. My phone goes onto flight mode & that helps a lot.
  7. Sleepy pillow spray or a drop or two of lavender on your pillow 1/2 hr before bed.
That is my routine & although my sleeping is not great it is much better if I do all those things combined. :)
LondonJen · 08/08/2014 09:59

Binky this might not work for you, but worth a mention, you never know.. When I can't get comfy on my side I am sleeping more 'tilted' to the left and really helps me nod off.

I lie on my back with a pillow either side. Tuck the right side pillow under the right side of my back (not too far else you're still just laid on your back!) and the left side pillow tucks under bump. Left knee is bent (flamingo style!) with left foot tucked under right knee (right leg is straight.) So my weight is down the left side really but am not properly on my side. I feel on my back enough to drift off.

Hope that explaination wasn't too shambolic! I don't know if it will work if you have pain but I wish us all better sleep!

binkybunny · 08/08/2014 10:57

Thanks for all your suggestions will give some of them a go! Will try and stop whinging now have never complained so much since getting pregnant!

ohthegoats · 08/08/2014 11:03

So my weight is down the left side really but am not properly on my side.

That's the same for me - except I'm a little more tilted onto my front. One leg bent up, one leg straight. The bent up leg sort of keeps the bump from being laid on too much. Kinda.

Pregnantagain7 · 08/08/2014 11:36

Sorry everyone is having trouble sleeping I am one of those annoying people who never struggles, I go to bed at ten and wake up at seven (or when a child jumps on my head) I don't even get up for a wee I have huge bladder when they drained it last time I was in labour they drained over a litre of wee Blush

I now have one child's bedroom decorated and complete! Only three more to go!

I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone, we are actually going to be meeting our babies soon some of them will be here before the end of next month Grin

Pregnantagain7 · 08/08/2014 11:39

Sorry that post sounded a bit smug! I maybe sleeping but I have piles and wee myself when I sneeze Grin

bumpbangbump · 08/08/2014 12:37

Hello ladies. Been a bit absent but keep following the thread.

I have a second hand breast pump. When it comes back to me it will be 5th hand. You can take all the parts of the madela apart and buy new 'drippy' bits (sorry I have no idea what to call the part I'm talking about but it's the only bit that isn't clear and easy to clean).

Sleeping's a bitch here too. Mainly because it hurts so much in the hips/pelvis to turn over and also weeing throughout!

Sorry to hear about the nose bleeds, that is something I've only had a couple of times and it sounds pretty scary to have them so regularly and so forcefully.

Feeling like a pretty crap mum at the moment. My ds is a joy, but so lively and fast and headstrong. I've been leaving him with his grandparents so much this summer as I know he has more fun with them. I should be taking him to loads of fun summer activities but I just can't chase him when he decided it's funny to run away from mummy!!!

Sorry, moan over...

mum2kiss · 08/08/2014 12:45

I have the rage today...my dp and Dd are rude...and I don't like it...a I'm hiding in the bathroom! Lol! We both have day off work, Dd is not at school and we got a call to say our car is finally fixed...so why is everyone so grumpy and miserable?! On the plus side dp is cleaning the kitchen unprompted ;)

I am sleeping reasonably well except having to get up to pee...

Happytimes31 · 08/08/2014 12:56

bump that is reassuring thank you Smile do you mean the filters and things?
