So if being sick every morning still at 32wks isn't enough I'm now getting nosebleeds with it!! Wtf? !?!?!

Oh dear, dh insisted I ring the nhs direct and now they're sending paramedics! I have a feeling this is an overreaction....

Oh mrsB hope your okay, better to get checked out !

fedupofrainydays · 07/08/2014 07:20

I get nose bleeds a lot mrsb. Only when preg though. It's the increased blood flow in the body. I guess the pressure of being sick pushes it out a bit. You poor thing still being sick.
I hope all is ok and good to see they are lookin after you rather than dismissing it all.

So I'm finding my walk to the station so so hard. I need a wee having only just done one and get a painful stitch. Ugh. Six more times. Six more times.

So we are camping out at the neighbours for a while so the builders can properly wreck our house. Very grateful but the bed was quite small so kept getting booted by DH and it was so hot last night. Hardly slept. On the plus side ds is loving it as he gets to hang out with one of his best little friends.
Oh and DH announces he's getting a new job - so bye bye paternity leave :(

I am still having a nose bleed every day. Sometimes at very inopportune moments!

mrsb87 · 07/08/2014 07:32

As predicted they aren't worried! I still might get to work on time. I think it was the dizziness that frightened them! They just told me I need to take it easy.

Buggerlugs I saw the gp yesterday about the exact same pain. He's given me co-codemol. Dunno if it's what did the trick, but I had the best nights sleep in weeks

crazycatwoman · 07/08/2014 07:48

It's backache that's getting me at night at the mo. Managed to get some sleep last night by sleeping just about upright and taking paracetamol.

Late preg. aches/pains/scares, how I had forgotten...

We've been having similar baby name issues but think we are down to 3 options for a girl and 2 for a boy. Trying to work out which one 2.5 year old dd likes best is proving v amusing. Also she is adamant that she is getting a sister... could be fun!

Kirstipops · 07/08/2014 08:22

I weighed myself this morning and I've been the same for about 3-4 weeks, are we not meant to be gaining up to a pound a week by now? (I've gained pretty much bang on 2 stone up to now anyway so not about to complain TOO much). I know there is less room in my tum to fit the gargantuan amount of food I was putting away previously - so how do they suggest we gain that much weight, even with the "little and often" approach?
Mrsb glad all is well (apart from the sickness obviously), I get nosebleeds too now and again, either in the morning when I'm trying to leave the house or just as I sit down to dinner!

ohthegoats · 07/08/2014 08:25

I basically just ache all over. Different levels of ouch, some days fine, some days a wreck. By evening though everyday, I'm really uncomfortable - sitting on a ball and leaning over the back of the sofa is the only way I can actually deal with having eaten dinner (even a small dinner). If I just sit at the table, or sit on the sofa, my stomach is all squashed up and I just feel incredibly sick. If I could get away without eating at all, I would. Still doing quite a lot of living on jelly and icelollies - don't make me feel sick, don't give me heart burn, don't make me feel too full and they're hydrating in a way. The perfect foods!

And swimming is amazing - if you're not swimming, start! Weightless, and even if you just float around a bit it takes the pressure off all the joints and you can stretch out your torso. If you can find one of those woggle things even better - just drift around the pool on that! Lovely.

tak1ngchances · 07/08/2014 08:28

I am gaining weight like a prize heifer. Quite scared to think how much I'll weigh by the end...

ohthegoats · 07/08/2014 08:54

I'm sort of glad I don't have much of an appetite - in my non-pregnant state I'm a heifer, so there was the potential for getting massive, but so far not. I'm expecting that as I get bigger and move less in normal life (less standing and walking), then it'll go on.

The woggle floating is the way forward Lugs - I go to a fancy-ass gym with all these people around me training for triathlons etc, and I'm just drifting about clinging to a float like a whale. Haha.

magichandles · 07/08/2014 09:29

Morning, we've just had a new leisure centre open 5 minutes from me, so I'm going to go and have a float around this evening I think.

We've narrowed it down to two names and are currently having a bit of a stand off about it.

And I had diabetic clinic on Tuesday and went straight onto insulin, my lunch and evening readings have come within range now, but my fasting and breakfast ones are still high so some tinkering to do. I might give the diabetic nurse a ring in a second actually.

BadgerInBury · 07/08/2014 09:37

Hello, can I join? I'm a first timer, expecting a little girl on 4th October. Very excited but also nervous and feeling like today I need to start in on my hospital bag (which I hadn't realised was a thing until I read this thread!). Also find some shoes for my inflated trotters, which are currently swelling up around the straps of my sandals in a rather alarming way...

ohthegoats · 07/08/2014 09:38

We've sorted out a girl's name. Boy's name is still a bit out there... middle name is sorted, first name not quite so much. We're in the same ballpark now, which is a start - for ages it was all over the place with 'ridiculous' suggestions from both sides.

Thing is, I've got one cousin due to have a boy in mid September, and another cousin due to have a girl in mid September - so there is a chance that both our name options could be nicked!

I've been loving my aquanatal classes, just being in the water in amazing, it's the only time I don't ache and it seems to be helping my backache. I'm planning on going to the local pool and floating a bit this weekend :)

Glad everything is ok Mrsb

ohthegoats · 07/08/2014 09:53

I know some people on here are still being sick from the beginning, but has anyone who got rid of the nausea/being sick had it return in third trimester?

Goats I've been sick the entire time but it has gotten worse again in third trim and from the other sicky people I have spoken to that is very common.

HopefulHamster · 07/08/2014 10:40

Sparkle if he is rejecting everything tell him he has to come up with some for you to veto/approve. You could always use www.namedtogether.co.uk which lets you both choose names separately then see if any match. Fwiw we are allegedly having a girl but I liked Vincent for a boy (very much underused) or Elliott (but a lot of girl Ellies about at the moment).

Happytimes31 · 07/08/2014 11:10

Love swimming, although am growing out of my second cheap non maternity swimming costume so might have to buy another!

Anyone any thoughts about whether they will use a secondhand pump? think my post got a bit lost Grin
