Nice! I'm going to go animals type 'theme' when I get a room to decorate (which I expect will be around Christmas, boo).

I've done bugger all today besides sit down, eat and digest. Just now I stood up from the sofa and DIDN'T wince or have to get upright in stages - this is good progress.

fedup - yes, I too have that clitoris throb. Boyfriend was suggesting activity near said clitoris this morning, but really there was no way. So fricking sensitive. Urgh, not very nice really.

fedupofrainydays · 03/08/2014 18:13

OMG today has been hard work. Not stopped clearing, packing boxes and moving them until now. Broken. And it's not finished - I just need a break. Ds has gone to neighbours for tea as we can't use our kitchen. No idea how I'm going to cope through August!

STIGZ · 03/08/2014 18:52

bump love, love, love your painting (",) well done you!! I love things with rainbows:)

Me23 · 03/08/2014 19:33

Gorgeous painting bump

I've got physio appt tomorrow (more for bladder/pelvic floor issues, though have back pain too) hope it isn't someone I've worked with before tad embarrassing!

YellowWellies · 03/08/2014 19:54

Argh just want some decent cheap unisex clothing for taking baby home in. Not with horrible beige naff teddy 'forever friend' type nausea on it. But equally being number 2 I can't justify the prices of stuff I've seen linked on MN. Don't get me wrong I was the same with number one, it felt really important to buy some gorgeous special first clothes - until he arrived and you don't care at all and gosh I think the MW dressed him with whatever tiny baby outfit the hospital had lying around - but now realising I can't actually even remember his first outfit or going home outfit I think I'm just going to get a white multi pack from Mothercare. But that seems too "number two CBA!" I think I need to dig out our newborn stuff and see what neutrals there are.

fedupofrainydays · 03/08/2014 20:11

F&f at tesco have a baby event on at mo yellow
Could get some nice stuff there

fedupofrainydays · 03/08/2014 20:13

Plus gap have a 25% of new born stuff too

fedupofrainydays · 03/08/2014 20:15

I get a load of emails with this stuff hence why I know! Just not got around to doing any of it yet.
Hurt my back today lifting etc so sitting in the bath whilst DH does the rest of the sorting.
Our friends took ds over for tea and bath and he came back wearing the funniest, girliest peppa pig pyjamas it was so so funny. Apparently he insisted. They have puffy sleeves and a bow on the front. He loves pink it's very amusing!

binkybunny · 03/08/2014 20:27

Just spent the day in Glasgow at the road race and feel like I have been hit by the peleton! Great day but crap how exhausting and painful pregnancy makes things! Thanks for the suggestion me about going to the mw supervisor but I don't really have the energy to keep going on about it. I'm going to look into chiropractors and see how I get on with that.

yellow I second the Tesco event. Got some lovely Winnie the Pooh bibs for £2 and 100 new nappies for £9.99. They have a gorgeous giraffe set that is unisex not too cutesy and no sickening slogans!

We have an amazing childrens second hand shop in the nearby market town and managed to pick up a whole load of Junior J Jasper Conran clothes for £16 including winter padded jacket, heavy weight cord dress and sleep suit as well as some nice thick winter baby tights Smile

YellowWellies · 03/08/2014 20:42

Thanks all! Smile. Have seen some lovely stuff on eBay and at £5 a pop I might just get a team pink and team blue outfit ready! The wrong one can always go back on eBay.

ExcitedCJ · 03/08/2014 21:23

binky 100 nappies for £9.99 @ Tesco? Which brand?

YellowWellies · 03/08/2014 21:40

I'd guess Tesco own brand which are v good. I regularly get 80 size 4+ nappies for a tenner from Asda. Other than Sainsbury's weird papery nappies - I LOVE supermarket nappies.

binkybunny · 03/08/2014 21:41

cj they're Pampers. It's £9.99 for 50 and bogof. Think someone mentioned it a few pages back too. We got size 2 just in case she's a big baby!

ExcitedCJ · 03/08/2014 22:09

Ah binky I did my calculations incorrectly & thought they were much cheaper than the deal I got. I bought 12 packets of size 2! Looked at growth charts & estimated weight gains based on my DD & approx 8 nappies per day. I used 8 - 10 last time & figured that £50 would last me the first 3 months. Might buy some size 3 & 4 too based on same sums. My mum has a huge dry roof space where I can store them, would be great to get first year bought.
Although I might try & persuade DH into considering cloth, wish me luck on that one!

binkybunny · 03/08/2014 22:15

We're going to try and do reusuables too but waiting until after the birth so we can use the trial pack from the nappy lady and see what's best. We do have some Terry towel nappies and an all in one already and keen to have some disposables in the cupboard too.

binkybunny · 03/08/2014 22:15

How much and what brand were your 12 packs?

ExcitedCJ · 03/08/2014 22:29

binky same deal as you. Tesco 56 size 2 for 9.99 on BOGOF, therefore 112 for £9.99. My sums are shocking so... 12 packs or 672 nappies for £59.94 = approx 3 months.
I've always rounded any expenses down!!! Especially when telling DH how much things cost! Wink

Another question for the ones who've been there and done it. I've started packing my hospital bag and I'm unsure on quantities. I have 2 night shirts, button up for bfeeding, 3 pairs of pants, 2 packs of maternity pads, breast pads, dressing gown, bikini top and old town shirt (hoping for a waterbirth if possible!) And mini toiletries. What am I missing?! Brain has come to a halt!

mrsb I've been advised by friends who have recently had babies to pack energy gels for during labour.

Like the flip flop idea. Also hoping for a water birth so they'll be great if I need to get out of the pool. I also have Slippers on my list for wandering the corridor and after the birth.

Mothercare have a really good list I have printed out and carry everywhere. it has hospital and baby stuff which isn't all neccesary but I've found to be a good guide.
