Morning everyone! Been a while since I posted but been trying to keep up. Hope everyone's feeling ok. 37 weeks today! Only a week and 6 days till my planned section Shock got another scan next week to check fluid levels as they are low and baby measuring small. ( forgot who else was having similar problems) it's a bit strange as both my boys were big 9lbs12 and 8lbs7! X

topmammy · 09/08/2014 07:57

Morning ladies. Well it's a bit of a shock but my waters went at 1am last night. I'm having the beginnings of contractions so coping fine at the mo but have been sent home. Not done much sleeping though :( Will be induced tonight if I don't progress on my own but mw was quite positive that I'll probably do it on my own. My mum was working night's last night so got to see her when I went in. Oh my this is actually happening. I'm a bit scared!

whiteblossom · 09/08/2014 08:15

Omg top!! Good luck, you'll be fine. Relax go withthe flow. How exciting. Are u 36 weeks? Im envious :-D ill be thinking of you lots of positive energy coming your way xx

ilovemonstersinc · 09/08/2014 08:18

Iirc top is paat 37? She was a few days in front of me.

Dont worry about it top. Induction isnt that bad. If you need the epidural ask for it. I didn't need it with ds2 and he was also back to back and had the drip on full!

Good luck and let us know how it goes. Hope it all goes well for the both of you x x Flowers

I've got up now as just can't sleep. I'm 37+4 so full term just!

I have an urge to clean and tidy everything lol!

MW said baby's head was really low so I'm hoping it all goes ahead without induction.

Argh!!

RedToothBrush · 09/08/2014 10:52

Good luck top!

I was just about to come on and say, I wouldn't be surprised if someone went this weekend.

There is a weird combination of things happening which apparently there is some evidence effect pregnant women who are 36 weeks +.

We have a tropical storm coming in - the change to low pressure messes about with us AND there is a full moon tomorrow, and apparently more babies are born around a full moon.

KatharineClover · 09/08/2014 11:10

Good luck topmammy! Thinking of you x

ilovemonstersinc · 09/08/2014 11:36

I thought you might be pleased ilove! Grin

Cindy5389 · 09/08/2014 11:46

Let's hope it doesn't effect 35weeks as well coz DH is away this weekend at a music festival, so I'm hoping baby stays put for a bit longer.

whiteblossom · 09/08/2014 11:52

red I can believe that about the full moon- might explain my bad mood, maybe Ill start howling tomorrow- in labour (wishful thinking- the labour not the howling lol)

More batch cooking today (currently in oven/slow cooker) and maybe a bit of sewing. Dh had taken ds out for the day, dh feels bad that we are not doing much with him over the school hols..I just cant manage big days out.

Ive been having cravings which I thought weird at this stage but, scambled eggs and fresh orange juice.

dontevenblink · 09/08/2014 12:10

Good luck top! Hope everything kicks off naturally for you Thanks Off to bed now but will be checking for updates excitedly when I get up tomorrow!

We just had an earthquake here, haven't felt one for ages but was just cleaning my teeth in bathroom and heard the rumble coming so had time to hold onto towel rail before shaking startedConfused Suddenly thought being pregnant my balance might not be the best! Was only fairly small though compared to what we used to get, but I'm now on strict instructions from DH to crouch down if I feel another. NZ is amazing but does come with a slight downside...

whiteblossom · 09/08/2014 12:26

omg, labour, full moon, tropical storms and earthquakes! what next?!

ilovemonstersinc · 09/08/2014 12:31

Hope things arw progressing nicely for top
