Congrats basgetti great news on your scan.
franks good luck for tomorrow, is it morning or afternoon?

Penguin13 · 06/08/2014 21:18

Congratulations Basgetti. Wonderful to hear all is well and that you got to find out you are team pink.

Woo Franks excited for you! You've been very patient and it's finally your turn!! Good luck.

Sat down to watch OBEM - feel like I've earned it after a good bit of driving practice - let the bawling commence!

FranksBobot · 06/08/2014 21:26

Not until 1:30pm unfortunately but the plus side is i'm the first appointment of the afternoon so they shouldn't be running late!
I'm going to be climbing the walls all morning. Patience is not one of my strong points.

Glad to hear you had a good driving session Penguin

CallingAllEngels · 07/08/2014 12:50

Great news franks congratulations on your baby girl!

Sorry for going AWOL, I've been lying low after really (irationally) stressing after cervix scan, (que many sobbing moments) with 1 hospital stay and 1 hospital visit thrown in in that time! Have mild hydronephrosis, where the kidneys don't let wee down the urethra as easily as normal, brought on by pregnancy. So causes some aching in either side from time to time but nothing too bad!

Feeling better the past couple of days after cervix was checked on Sunday (speculum) and was abdominally scanned yet again.. He was happy as Larry sucking his thumb! But every single ache and pain I get I completely panic thinking i'm going into labour or my cervix is dilating or shortening.. Not helped by the fact I'm a major hypochondriac without being pregnant! Been a bit more rational and calm these past couple of days though so that's good! And have cervix length scan on Monday so not too long to wait.

Anyway I'm going to have a catch up with everyone now! It may take some time :-) x

Penguin13 · 07/08/2014 18:31

Nice to see you Engels and great news that all was well with the scan. Welcome to team yellow Smile.

Congratulations Franks - no 'frank' there then Grin. Lovely to hear all is well.

basgetti · 07/08/2014 19:06

Great news Franks!

Sorry you've not been well Strawbs, glad you got to see baby again and can see he's doing well! Good luck for Monday x

CoventGarden75 · 07/08/2014 19:25

Well done franks go team Pink, go go go.

Welcome back engels and strawbs

CakesALot · 07/08/2014 19:40

Woo! Great news Franks! Team pink is storming ahead now!

Nice to see you Engels and strawbs. Sorry to hear about your ups and downs strawbs but sounds like all is well. Be strong Smile

Penguin13 · 07/08/2014 19:54

Strawbs! Great to see you. Cross-posted and missed yours before. Sorry to hear you haven't been well - were they able to give you to help with the pain?

Hope you get some reassurance on Monday at your scan. Not too long to wait now.

TinyMonkey · 08/08/2014 11:58

PresidentSpreadable here, fancied a name change.

Congrats on the girls basgetti and Franks! I'm still wishing I knew what I was having, but determined to wait it out now.

Sorry things have been a bit stressful for you Strawbs, hope the scan on Monday shows no cause for concern.

TinyMonkey · 08/08/2014 11:59

Oh and I felt my first kick from the outside this week, which was awesome. Baby still resolutely feet down, so all activity is very low down, but nice and reassuring.

CakesALot · 08/08/2014 12:26

I'm still getting the vast majority of my kicks low down too, wish she'd shift up a bit! It's most awkward if DH goes to feel a kick when we're out in public!! Wink

TinyMonkey · 08/08/2014 15:57

Even though I know it's still early days, I'm convinced this baby is going to stay breech for the duration. Little beast. MrTM hasn't felt it yet, it stops kicking the minute he puts his hand there.

CoventGarden75 · 08/08/2014 22:30

Awww, a lady from the gym sent some presents through DP tonight: a changemat and some newborn bottles. Bless her, she's such a sweetie Smile

1st week of training my maternity cover is over, it's a weird feeling.

Calendar is filling up fast, Mum is visiting in Sept, Bro in Oct, Dad in Nov. and Baby in Dec Grin

It's all happening, 4 months to go.

Have a good weekend all.

MrsFtn · 09/08/2014 14:27

Great news franks congratulations on your pink one Grin

Now for a moan... I've had a terrible week! After recovering from her asthma troubles DD got a sickness bug Wednesday night. Only lasted 24 hours but it's taken days to clean all the bedding/duvet/pillows/cushions that got 'dirty'. Not to mention steam cleanimg the bathroom, her bedroom floor and the sofa! On the bright side the house has probably never been so clean!
And now today I feel really really nauseous and can't eat anything. I've got a banging headache and all I want to do is sleep. basgetti I feel for you now more than ever with all the sickness troubles you've had!

Hope everyone else is having a happier and healthier weekend. Sorry for the self obsessed post - feeling rather sorry for myself!

basgetti · 09/08/2014 14:38

Mrs Ftn Thanks

Sorry your DD has been poorly and now you too! Sickness bugs suck. Try to take it easy over the weekend if you can. Nothing wrong with feeling sorry for yourself, that's my default setting at the moment!

Think I'm going to end up back in hospital in the next couple of days, high ketones again and can't keep much down. I'm sitting in my pjs with DS watching every kids film known to man on a loop. Bloody Frozen!

Hope everyone else is doing well x

Penguin13 · 10/08/2014 19:52

Poor you and DD Mrs hope you both feel much better now.

Aw it's lovely that you're able to feel kicks from the outside now Tiny. I'm sure it won't be long before MrTiny gets a chance to feel them too.

That's so lovely of your DP's gym buddy Covent. Training your mat leave cover already must make it all seem quite real now. Trying not to think about how quickly the time is going....

Good luck with your cervix scan tomorrow Strawbs. Really hope you get a reassuring result.

Take care of yourself Basgetti so sorry you're back to not being able to keep anything down. Every day you get through is a day closer to holding your baby in your arms and feeling good again!

StrawbsAndCream · 11/08/2014 20:29

Hope you and DD are better now Mrs did you escape the full bug in the end or did it strike you down to?! Hope not.

Tiny isn't it lovely? I've got a few videos of him kicking/moving inside my tummy that you can see! Weird but nice!

Ahh covent like penguin said that does make it feel real that you're already training your mat cover!

basgetti hope you're alright today and are avoiding hospital, although 'let it go' on repeat is enough to make anyone get admitted! Wink

Thank you Penguin, good news! Cervical scan showed my cervix measured 3.4cm today! So in normal range. Won't see the consultant now for 4 weeks as he was pleased everything was normal.. I like to think my resting and not walking far helped! So relieved for now and he said if I feel I need another scan in the mean time that I can just give them a ring.
H was working so my mum came with me, we celebrated by buying some vests, hats, socks, mits, baby grows and bibs in next! Am also debating ordering my reusable nappies tonight too, but maybe I've been brave enough for one day!

Hope everyone's had a good Monday, I have the day off tomorrow. Yay!

FranksBobot · 11/08/2014 21:15

Fantastic news Strawbs I'm so so pleased for you and also think its great how lovely your consultant is. Hope you are feeling better now too.

Loving the new name tiny. Baby Kicks are most definitely reassuring although my monkey is still determined to play havoc with my scar tissue.

Been super busy since my scan so didn't get to tell you how much of a plonker I was! We went into the room and for some reason unknown to man I started to cry. Not just a little sob, full blown total utter melt down. We had a lovely student doing our scan (supervised!) and I don't think she quite knew what to think. I could feel baby kicking away merrily so no idea why i was so anxious. Anyway, she starts scan and i calm down only to start bawling again once we find out the sex. This time it was pure joy but according to DP you couldn't tell! So 45 mins later and we leave the room to sit and wait for the report where yet again I burst into tears. By this point DP thinks it is hysterical and starts laughing. Seriously the looks we were getting in the waiting room!!
Thankfully since then my hormones have been in check and apart from one moment whilst watching Harry Potter with DD I haven't cried manically since. Clearly saving it for our next major public outing. Blush Blush Blush

20+5 Grin

Fantastic news strawbs what a weight off your mind that must be. Sounds like your consultant is very understanding too.

oh dear franks sounds like you really let go of your emotions on scan day! Hope you can laugh about it with DH now!

I'm feeling much better today thanks habing not eaten anything for almost 24 hours. Water has definitely been my friend this weekend as its the only thing I've been able to stomach. Got a busy week at work this week but then I'm off for 2 weeks. Part of me thinks I should be saving my leave for when I'm heavily pregnant but then I think sod it I deserve a holiday! 7 nights in cornwall and then a week off at home. All with DD and DH who are on nursery/school holidays Grin

Hope you are doing ok basgetti Thanks have you been back to hospital?

TinyMonkey · 12/08/2014 13:15

Oh Franks, bless you! I am a bit of a waterworks at the moment, everything sets me off. MrMonkey thinks it's funny.

CoventGarden75 · 12/08/2014 13:37

basgetti you poor thing, you've draw the short straw, how are you feeling today?

franks it looks like you had lots of emotions bottled up, they're better out IMO.

strawbs you must be so relieved with the good news.

I'm not having a good time, the cold won't go away, it's been a week+ now and I'm fed up not being able to do anything (read swim, gym). Also sciatica made a strong appearance on Saturday, every move was so painful and I could barely stand up, luckily it's gone away for now.

I just want to be resting at home but with so few people in the office I would feel guilty taking time off sick, plus I'm off on holiday next week.

On a positive note, baby Juliette has stopped playing hide and seek, and both DP & I felt her kicking this weekend, DP got punched in the nose while talking to her with his face on my belly Grin.
