Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

Good luck Appleby

persepolis123 · 17/07/2014 08:47

The problem is they won't allow us to book in until 10 weeks here and the scan date comes through after that, so if I wait until booking in to ask then it won't really be an early scan.

I will wait until the end of next week and hopefully by the time they can fit me in I will be nearly 8 weeks.

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 09:08

Will you need to pay for an early scan privately then P? Everywhere does everything so diff now, I phoned MW last week and got given my booking in/scan app there and then! Lol I was a little taken back as I wasn't expecting it to be like that

persepolis123 · 17/07/2014 09:24

I should be able to call and speak to the midwife without making a booking in appointment. I did last time when I started bleeding and she got me a scan for the next working day but sadly I had to go to a&e that night and was told I had already miscarried. So I'm hoping to get one on the nhs this time but if not I will probably pay for a private one.

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 09:50

Aww fingers crossed they do it for you :) I'll be asking for mine when I go to booking in app and will be keeping my fingers crossed twy agree

MGFM · 17/07/2014 09:59

I have been off the grid for a while...who knew that phone signal in Norfolk was so bad! I would have thought that in this day and age there would be 3G everywhere! I have been on an exercise with the RAF Regiment which was unbelievably dull. Back in the real world now! While I was away however, I discovered Cod Bites from the hot counter in Tesco. They were soooo good. I had them 3 nights on the run! I dont know if it counts as a craving but I just had to keep going back!

In other pregnancy news....I am 6 weeks today! I am going to see the GP tomorrow to get referred to the midwife. Private scan booked for 2 weeks today.

Symptoms: Boobs slightly sore to touch around the sides. I am not someone that ever got sore boobs with AF so this is new for me. And the occasional mild cramping. Nausea when I am hungry as well.

My parents are coming to stay with me this weekend. I dont get to see them very often as they live in NI so I am goign to tell them. This will be their first Grand Child so they should be pretty excited! Looking forward to it.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Good Luck Appleby!

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 10:13

Aww MGFM I'm sure your parents will be thrilled when you tell them :) enjoy!

Well mr postie has just been and I've just received written confirmation of apps for MW and scan :) makes it more real now

Brummiegirl15 · 17/07/2014 10:40

Good luck Appleby thinking of you

Perse I had an mc last time and I'm going to pay for a private early scan. Am going to have mine done at 7.5 weeks. There is a place in Solihull that does it and so many people I know have been there. £80 for an early scan.

My docs appt is next Wednesday when I'll be 5 weeks exactly

Could not sleep at all last night, sore boobs mean I can't lie on my front so could not sleep!!

Lifeisabeach · 17/07/2014 10:56

Good luck today Appleby.

Think I will leave seeing the GP until I'm past 6 weeks; that's when I mc last time. I hate the going to the GP and announcing thing, wish we could go straight to the MW instead.

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 11:01

Where abouts are you lifesabeach? I didn't have to go to my docs at all, I'm just outside Glasgow and we just contact the MW directly now

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 11:03

Just thinking and how would you all feel about a private fb group? Totally closed and unseen to friends etc?

notoasthere · 17/07/2014 11:09

M - it would have to be a secret group, but yes, I'd be up for that

hlc123 · 17/07/2014 11:10

fb group sounds good to me

persepolis123 · 17/07/2014 11:11

The Nov 12 group I'm in has a private fb group which is quite good. I panicked when I first joined in case others could see it and I hadn't announced my news to friends yet but it is totally private.

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 11:11

Oh it would defo be a secret group, could only be added through invite, if enough of you are willing I'll set it up and give my email address and any1 who wants to join could email me and I'd send out request

notoasthere · 17/07/2014 11:16

Sounds like a plan :) will pm you my email

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 11:16

No probs :) I'll go set it all up :)

northdownmummy · 17/07/2014 11:27

I'm thinking I may need to go home from work today and back to bed.
I'm shattered and cause of that very very nauseous. Feeling very sorry for myself today

KeeperOfTheZoo · 17/07/2014 11:34

Can I jump on this boat please? Just discovered you all after getting my BFP for #2 on Tuesday!

I'll be honest we're still a little shocked at the minute. Although we had planned this pregnancy, I've actually only been off bc for around 3 weeks, so I either ov literally straight after stopping it, then 2ww takes us to now, or we had an accident before coming off, in which case it's a good job we'd planned it anyway!! It just makes both me and DH a bit scared about whether everything will be ok as my body was still pretty full of hormones at the time...

I must admit I haven't read through all of the previous posts - there are 25 pages already! Going to go back and start now though, just wanted to introduce myself first.

I've made my first MW appointment for 29th July (same MW I had last time and she remembers us and is really chuffed for us - even rang me personally to arrange to squeeze me in for an afternoon appointment which she wouldn't normally use for first appointments so feel much better about my care already).

I'm guessing my EDD will be mid-end of March but as I'm still confused about exactly how/when I fell pregnant I'll leave the more accurate estimating up to the MW!

Sorry for the huge post, I'm off to start on page 1 of 25...! Grin

FlipFlippingFlippers · 17/07/2014 11:37

Count me in for a fb group! Feel better soon north how I didn't pass out at work last night I'll never know! Back there again tonight Sad

persepolis123 · 17/07/2014 11:37

I want to go home too. I’m tired and can’t concentrate on work. I keep going through my diary trying to check my dates. Because I didn’t have a period after the mc I’m not 100% sure when I conceived and don’t want to arrange a scan too early in case I’m not as far along as I think and they don’t see anything. I know within 5 days though.

Lots of dull aches down below today and yesterday. I guess everything is stretching.

notoasthere · 17/07/2014 11:37

Definitely go home northdown and rest

Welcome keeper - I can imagine that was quite the surprise!

M27J5M · 17/07/2014 11:47

I've set up the secret fb page so any1 who wants to join just pm me your email address and I'll send you an invite to page

ZebraZeebra · 17/07/2014 12:00

Deffo up for a private group - the Oct 2012 group did the same and it's really nice.

In the park, every child seems to want to play with me. I don't have enough energy for my own damn child!
