Well after reading the last few posts I was counting my blessings that to date, baby appears to have been mostly head down or sideways, so no bladder assaults for me yet....then I felt some almightly bicycle kicks in the knicker region...kinda scared to stand up now haha!
fedup I just downloaded that kick counter, oh what fun I'll have with that Hehe, 11 kicks in 22 mins. My babe seems to be on the same timetable as yours too, i feel it most mid-late morning then to a lesser extent for a while in the evening!

So unimpressed. Just getting to sleep after restless legs when he gets a call from work. Their systems have gone down. So I'm now wide awake with restless legs, cramps and heartburn while he's talking someone (very loudly) through restarting the systems.

The most annoying thing is he'll be back in bed snoring soon while I'm laid awake kicking my legs around Angry

binkybunny · 28/06/2014 02:02

Poor DH has had togo into work at 2am I'm still wide awake. Going to be a lazy sleepy day tomorrow/today in our house...

porcito · 28/06/2014 02:20

I made the mistake of napping when I got home from work...now I won't sleep until about 5 and the vicious circle starts again... I think the baby waits until the minute I'm about to sleep and then goes mad. I can't find any position I like to sleep in. I haven't tried bat yet but it's next if I don't get a good night soon...

binkybunny · 28/06/2014 02:57

Portico our baby also favours bed time to dance! I cant believe its 3am and I'm wide awake. So frustrating

fedupofrainydays · 28/06/2014 07:25

yellow you would fit right in here as ds just did a wee on our couch. Having a real backward phase with potty training after holiday, bit of diarrhea needing nappy, and after use of pull ups when out and about with childminder. :(

clapto it's called 'baby kicks monitor' and just times a session until you get to 10 kicks. Quite good idea I think! Will be attempting mine daily when lounging on sofa in the eves.

Hope got some sleep porcito and binky.

Hi guys. I've returned from my final work trip, I've been away all week & I'm totally exhausted. Was following thread when away but too exhausted to write.
Think Goats you wanted to know of wired maternity bra options? I wore a wired bra last time & will need to this time too I'm a 34 F already & they are expanding daily, as long as you are really careful to get the right size, no wire digging you should be fine. I could have supplied a small creamy with my supply last time & no blocked ducts. Try 'Anita' nursing bras from the nursing bra shop. They have softer more flexi wire.
Thanks for car seat discussions, lots of good for thought.
I don't have a bladder kicker but I seem to spontaneously produce large quantities of discharge at the worst times! I was completing a walk & coaching exercise this week & 1/2 way through I felt what seemed like a large gush downstairs, thought I in trouble with baby & had to excuse myself to nip to loo. It has happened at least 4 times in really uncomfortable situations.
Thanks for 25 wk photo the photos keep me sane as I feel like a space hopper and these anchor me back to reality that I'm actually normal sized like you guys! :)

Lovely bump ldt, didn't see it before :)

Morning all, can't believe some of you were awake so late/early last night! I was like that with my first, a mixture of excitement and impending doom I think lol. Our bubs likes to have a proper kick about at bedtime too, I was getting properly big boots last night! DH is getting annoyed though as the minute he puts his hand on bump to feel baby stops!

Also a wee leaker here Sad. We were watching "it'll be alright on the night" last night and I really had to be careful! Only had it maybe twice with DS but it happens much more often with this one, I really should have done my pelvic floors Sad

mum2kiss · 28/06/2014 11:38

So I woke up this morning to find my areolas have puffed up! Anyone else had this? I can't remember if it happened last pregnancy! The areola always seem to be itchy too, but assumed that was down to increased blood flow...

ohthegoats · 28/06/2014 12:31

When it stops throwing it down with rain I'm going shopping for such exciting things as knickers that don't dig in, bra back extenders and maybe one new bra.

Boyfriend didn't go to Glasto. He didn't get in from his work trip until really late, and said that he'd been quite glad no one had called to confirm he could go, because he was knackered. I did say that I'd have silently resented him forever if he had gone, to which he laughed and said 'probably not silently though, right?'.

He's currently hoovering up the mess left by a plasterer while I sit on the sofa Smile

fatpony · 28/06/2014 13:40

Those of you who have had your 24/25 week app what happens in them? Is it just more weighing scales/blood pressure/ urine test? Mine is this week at 24+4 with a doctor at the hospital. Did you discuss birth plans at all?

Grannyapple · 28/06/2014 14:17

fatpony I had mines this morning-was just a bog standard appt. Discussing birth plan at next appt in 4 wks-she's booked a double appt for it..

Kirstipops · 28/06/2014 14:33

Fatpony mine was just bp, urine and the doppler. My appointments are every 4 weeks but they only take bloods (to check my hypothyroid) every other appointment as the hospital lab won't test twice in a 6 week period! Still haven't been weighed since my booking appointment, expecting a wee telling off when that day comes! Blush
No mention of birth plans either, though I did ask if the hosp did tours of birthing/labour wards but was told they've stopped doing them so there's virtual tour a YouTube video instead.

tak1ngchances · 28/06/2014 15:15

Yes seems we'll get seen every 4 weeks now and then at some point is it every 2?

mrsb87 · 28/06/2014 15:34

Same here, urine, doppler and BP. I have my 28wk appt next Saturday and she is doing a home visit so I'm hoping to be able to chat about birth plan then . I also have my anti-d injection booked for the following Monday. And then I'm off on holiday 2 weeks today! I Can't wait Smile a whole week by the sea side with dh and my 3 doggies!

YellowWellies · 28/06/2014 16:54

First time round we never discussed birth plans until arriving at the hospital. I think given we're due in the busiest period of the year for births, lots of trusts just might not have sufficient MW time to discuss them in an antenatal appointment. If they don't don't stress they go out the window anyway!

fatpony · 28/06/2014 17:05

Thanks. I need to discuss about having an elective c-section with them (for various reasons) and not sure which appointment that will be. I'm not seeing my midwife Tues but someone else-this doctor I've never met. I think I will ring the MW in Monday and ask...

tak1ngchances · 28/06/2014 18:42

fatpony don't wait for them to bring it up, make it the first thing you discuss with them at your next appointment.
I agreed an ELCS at my first appointment and it was such a weight off my mind.

Pregnantagain7 · 28/06/2014 19:25

mum2 yes yes to puffy areolas!! Very odd didn't have it with any of my other pregnancies in fact my boobs are very odd this time, they haven't been painful at all but they feel weird! It's almost like I can feel something is happening inside they feel irritated, hot and a itchy. I sound like a total mad woman Grin but I can't describe it any other way. I wish I could hang them up when I get into bed they're annoying me!!
Just got back from ooh doctors with my baby he is ill now with a viral infection and I've got it too, I have had enough of illness now no more please I'm done.
I suddenly realised today that I'm going it have a baby in 15 weeks holy shit I feel like this pregnancy has flown by I haven't done a single thing, really really need to get my bum into gear or this baby will be sleeping in a drawer :)

Pregnantagain7 · 28/06/2014 19:26

Oh and my birth plan consists of epidural ASAP Grin

fatpony · 28/06/2014 20:01

yeah I will do tak1ng as I need to know and decide one way or the other. There wasn't really the opportunity at the booking in and then the only other app I have had was the 16 week which was in my local health centre - the MW didn't even have a computer so couldn't see I was higher risk - she kind of said I need to talk to a consultant at the hosp. All very vague!

YellowWellies · 28/06/2014 20:23

Pony I'd bring it up asap. Its a busy time of year and they'll want to get you in the diary for theatre time etc sooner rather than later.

My birth plan last time was more for DH and I really, I realised after the event. So he'd be able to tell the hospital staff what I wanted if I was incapacitated. The MW themselves are keen to minimise pain relief and unnecessary interventions and were v good at keeping the atmosphere calm, peaceful and private. This time we both know that a lot of what I wrote was a bit woo. This time actually I'd rather have an episiotomy than a 3rd degree tear (Yep I wrote 'let me tear' glad they advised against that!). This time they can use the word contraction - its not poison. I don't give a shit whether I deliver the placenta naturally or with assistance - I honestly won't notice. The only dead set rule I have this time is absolutely no use of long handled forceps. My pal's DS died of a broken neck because of their misuse Sad . So in that circumstance we'd refuse their use and insist on EMCS or ventouse as applicable. Oh and we only want the cord cut once the placenta has stopped pulsating. I think those are the only two real rules in my birth plan this time.

ohthegoats · 28/06/2014 20:25

I'm going to try and talk birth options/birth plan stuff at my next consultant appointment - a couple of weeks away. Before that I've got a growth scan on Thursday, so will be at least armed with info about my potentially slow growing 'small'. Fingers crossed.

binkybunny · 28/06/2014 20:26

Hi all. After a mental night of only 4 hours sleep in the end we had quite a good shopping day! Carseat, mattress to actually fit the crib, set of terry nappies and some perenium oil for me along with the hugest knickers I have ever bought Blush

Our mat unit had an open day today celebrating 10 years of being open. Talked to a real nappy lady and had another tour of the unit but with DH this time. Have picked my prefered labour room so hope its available now on the day. It has a low to the floor memory foam bed, birthing pool and views to the hills Grin

I just had my 24 week apt last Wed. Urine, bp, measured my bump and listened to the heartbeat. We briefly discussed my birthing plan as I had completed it already. Its basically water birth with ga s and hypnobirthing cd. But if I need an epidural or c section happy to be transferred asap for one. So I pretty much covered all bases!
